    Art Deco is nice!
This process is often described as work...but if it's fun and energizing?
Sometimes inspiration comes from totally different things, such as kitchen machinery. Look at lines on those foodprocessors. It's inspiration everywhere!
And yes, a break can do wonders. Staring at something (for too long) makes one blind.
    Cheers!

Nice video Dan, it's looking good mate and I don't think its going to overheat. Looking forward to seeing which way you go with it and a workshop tour would be good. Ride safe and take care. Cheers

Love ya work Dan and missed your content over the last little while. Looking forward to you new videos. I dunno about the side fairings yet, very curious to see what you come up with. Swing arm mock up looks very cool. Also, I'd love to see a workshop tour.

What I love about this build is you’re doing some legit fab work, but not going with the tried and true method of super minimalist design.
There are are a thousands of custom viragos, and they look awesome but are very similar. I can’t wait for the next video on this build.

I start with the idea of keeping it simple but Hare and Forbes sent me down the metal-shaping path and I haven’t looked back

Always love your work dan, yours skills are right up there. The look your creating isnt for me, its not something i personally would go for, but its your vision and your bike, so you do you. Looking forward to seeing where this ends up.
Really looking forward to seeing what you do to the cb250. I did one of these myself and i find it really interesting to see other peoples take on the same bike.

I don't see any over heating issues with that last design. Back when I was still on Instagram I faced the same comments about my fairing I designed. Very nice workshop setup, keep up the great work

a great improvement to the first ones Dan...it's taken the weight out of it, quite literally. Has the extension finished or is that one of the many projects you tease us with! 🙂

personally not my cup of tea but looks unreal with how smooth you get the metal.
I like the look of the motor so I reckon a belly pan would be sick

Love the mirroring of the rear half of the tank. Maybe emulate the beautiful radius-s-s on the front of tank around the front pot. It would look great, and give more airflow through the fins. I know you're still roughing in, but I dig where you're going with it. Mod Art Deco perhaps.

Well Dan didn't make it as a brekkie vid as had too much to do this morning but a great evening video for a change . I'm sure as your an aussie there's a lot more of us that just sit an star as part of the build project, building and making along with the designs all in our heads .. love the idea of the collapsible handle on the stump, I've been toying for a while on making one myself but that's quite the lump to drag around . I'd say you just solved the issue for me thanks .. liked no 1 good shape but you could do better no 2 was too similar even if you managed to get mesh panels to blend in somehow . Latest design hmm rounded design like tank not bad ......rear end could that be a possible video on it's own hope so ..great video content and great advice on the tooling I think you may need a bigger garage at this rate . Cheers fella

I think this is so sick! What if you installed an aftermarket oil cooler?

  • @peterdocter4659
    @peterdocter4659 7 місяців тому

Liking it, but is would put a mesh in there, to make it less open, get some more material in there especially at the bottom, will also make it more sturdy and reduce vibrations.

It looks great man you did a hell of a job shaping it. gonna be one unique virago.
Did you ever get the issue of a small oil leak from the cx/gl500 heads after new aftermarket head gaskets. I did everything by the book but its just refusing to stop coming from the little passage way that comes from the oil pump to the lifters. No coolant in the cylinders and it runs great but after gettin em on there twice and it happening again should I resurface the heads or what?

Hi. Dan.This is really the first time I have left a comment from watching your creativity and skills for long time.. I have been watching your channel all the time and I am making my dream bigger and better.. I really appreciated it.
I would love to be like you and doing the jobs you are doing for my whole life.. Is there any chance or possibility to be one of your helper or wiper anyway to join to your place?.. I am disciplined person for Refrigeration and HVAC for 15years but it is sad that I am digging the wrong way...I live in New Zealand now I will be ready if there is any opportunities...thanks.

Build the bike that you want, Mate. Every time I have made something for someone else's tastes, I did not enjoy it at all.
