Thank you brother 🙏..tbh there is dronning due to the combination of the exhausts and secondary downpipes. But only on eco mode and not too often. Sports and sports+ sounds too brolic to drone. I'll be uploading driving videos up soon!
The exhaust alone wont drone after instalation, but if you add secondary and/or primary downpipes, it'll drone on eco mode at very low rpm. I have custom secondary downpipes and my primaries just came so i will be installing that. If my drone is really bad i will be adding valve resonators.
Hey man! I just bought the same car and looking to make it louder but also making it sound good. Quick disclaimer I just started learning about cars so I don’t know much haha. Does doing a car back exhaust system on this car trigger check engine light? Or does it void warranty?
Doing a cat back exhaust won't trip the check engine for this car. You can even have custom secondary down pipes. Thats what I have, great sound and no check engine. You can get custom cold air intakes to make even better sound. More videos are coming as I will be installing more aftermarket parts.
Awesome! Reason why I ask is because the car has that variable active exhaust where it opens that valve when you put it in sport plus mode, so I didn’t know if taking out the OEM exhaust would trigger a sensor or something
Yes I'm aware of the variable active exhaust. It doesn't trigger any sensors to go off if it's not plugged in. My guy zip tied it and taped it with electrical tape. Should be solid after that!
Dealership has to prove that w.e went wrong with your car has to do with the catback exhaust. And since all catback exhausts do is free air flow and doesn't even trip the check engine it is highly unlikely dealerships will say anything about it. I actually install my ARK's and the next day I went to the dealer for maintenance and not a single word was mentioned about my exhausts. And trust as loud as these are, they definitely knew I had them on.
No, it's doesn't. I don't think any custom full exhaust for the g70 utilize the variable valve. I would recommend primary and secondary downpipes and keep the exhausts as is if you wanna continue to utilize the variable valve
Variable valve is like a switch it doesn't measure anything. All it does is activate the valve on your oem exhausts to open up so more air can be released thus making a more sporty sound. When you install custom exhausts you don't have the variable valve option anymore cause the custom exhausts don't have a valve to open and close, they're always open and piping is bigger then original, thus more air comes out and creates a greater deeper sound. Keep in mind there will be no codes that's going to pop up on your dash. I've had it for a year and 0 codes popped up
@@davidlamb1008 Borla is releasing an exhaust system that hooks up directly to your variable exhaust valve plugs. Allows you to have a tame sounding exhaust note when you want a quiet calm drive.. But when you're feeling it, just swith it over to sport mode and baffled and valves open up and give you a crazy exhaust note.. It's incredible how expensive thr ARK is but yet it doesn't account for this feature
Yes Borla exhausts are being made that utilize the variable valve exhausts. The ARk with my secondary downpipes is quite loud especially in sports/+ mode. However, I get a small pop sound on sports+ when I switch gears and I wouldn't ever want to change that sound imo. In the end you have to ask yourself why you want exhausts? Ultimately it's for better and deeper sound.
@@moon1te The car. I almost purchased one a few weeks ago in Makalu Grey w/ red interior but now I’m holding out until winter for a 2024 model with the updated AC digital display instead of knobs and a few other small changes. I have a cart ready to go with an oil catch can, HKS plugs, AFE intakes, ARK GT-S springs, ARK secondary downpipes, and a JB4 to start out. Haha I’m pumped. Looking forward to more videos of Moon1te!
I got them on sale. Ark has sales every now and then, I believe this sale was a Christmas sale and then waited 5 months for them to come cause it was a pre-order of the 2nd gen. I would wait for the sale. They do it often. 🙏🙏
well my 2023 genesis g70 3.3t awd turbo blew with 2000 miles on it metals went all in the engine the car is lemon now i got brand new one black again same car
I went with the imr cat delete and cat back 1900 for the cat delete pipes and cat back. Cheaper than ark sounds just as good or better but it's a personal preference both are good
Sick video man. Got me wanting to get the same setup as you!!!! I’ve got a 2019 3.3 and wow that sounds so good. Any drone????

Some pops and bangs with tuning and its the perfect car
Not really a fan of pops and crackles, my car burbles already on every mode...we'll see what happens after jb4 and then after lap3
Vids are getting better and better, but I miss the drone…hahaha
Sounds amazing! Do you still retain a quiet exhaust in comfort mode?
No more quiet exhausts bro.... I'm any mode 😆...
cool
Question! Any exhaust drones after installation?

Yes, a full Catback system is likely to void warranty. Not worth the risk especially if you have a 10 year warranty like I do

Does the ARK make use and work with the valved exhaust tip? No interest in this exhaust if it doesn't utilize the variable valve feature

anyone know if u get a muffler delete if it will put a check engine light on for this car
It will not give you a check engine for a muffler delete
So the SDs don’t come with the kit? You have to buy those separately?
SDs? What do you mean by that?
Secondary downpipe is what I think he means@@moon1te
Sd's are sold separately
Need driving sounds from exhaust. Just revving doesn't give any idea of how it actually sounds while driving.
I got you, very soon
Looking to buy one in the next few months and will probably go a similar route. Sounds great dude. Located on LI
The car or the exhausts?

Yeah I saw the updated interior in the 2024's looks pretty nice ngl. That's the exact same parts I have lol can't wait till I finish it
how much did it coast you
Exhausts were around $1800, to install was around $200 so overall 2k
I’m only seeing prices at $2200 for the exhaust and $600 for the downpipes, where did you buy them?

I'm conflicted with whether I was that or not...thank you tho! 💪

@CarsDammit With a piggyback tune or lap3?
@@moon1te I currently have a piggyback tune.
I’m most likely going to be switching over to LAP3 so I could get the pop and burble tune
