One thing I really wish Fr had talked about was how to know if you are meant to be married and should keep dating and trying to find someone or if you should give up and take it as a sign God doesn't want you to marry. I'm 34 and what with the hookup culture its exhausting trying to find a good man that doesn't play games or expect you to sin with him. I always wanted to be a stay at home mom and have my own family (partlyy to make up for what I didn't get from my parents) but it's just so discouraging. As a woman, people make the career stuff SO easy for you, but try to go against the tide and get married and it's like the end of the world.
Have you tried any of the Christian dating sites, such as catholicmatch.com or christiansingles.com? Not saying you'll find someone there but your chances of finding someone who shares the same values are higher, I think.
Fr. Ripperger also has a really good talk about the stages of courtship and discerning specifically with regard to a particular person. You should find it if you search for "stages of courtship" and his name. God bless you.
I deeply thank God for turning my eyes towards " Sensus Fidelium" and more particularly this period of Lent.I realise how empty and hollow I've been all along although I believed to be faithful and religious.I seek you Father's to pray for me and my family for fortitude and to seal even the very small cracks..... God bless all you priests with His goodness.
God desires we all live in Gods Divine Will each moment for the whole world to live and heaven in his will which will get rid of all evil in this earth thanking him and fiat fiat fiat and Father you are living in Gods Divine will and helping one another . Fiat fiat fiat ❤❤❤❤❤
Amen! If we all did Gods will, earth would be heaven. The unity by bonds of charity for one another is what heaven is, and we are called to bring heaven upon earth. I assume that is why we are called to doing good works
Praise Jesus for this man of God so desperately needed in the church. God has revealed and confirmed confusion about my will. I felt a deep conviction to take care of my son before working, I worked to support my family only when we had no money, etc.....convicted to teach my child about the bible and Jesus Christ not knowing why I was doing it but now see the hand of God at work. Hallelluiah, may God always keep us close to his son and protect us from the deceiver. Amen.
When dear Lord?? When am I to be a nun or wife and mother? 😫 Please pray for me that I will soon know and follow the vocation and state in life that God has chosen for me! 🙏 🙏 🙏 Thank you!
I think don't be just wife, be mother. Because we need christian children. Also if you want a husband, tell this to god in rosary. He will help you, he helped me also he can help you. God bless you!
WONDERFUL advice. Anyone struggling with decisions about their vocation, Fr. Ripperger gives excellent advice to help you. Thanks be to God, I found these videos and have been helped very much. Even if only to confirm that what you are doing is the RIGHT thing, these videos can help! I'm so grateful. But regardless of vocation, we all have to remember that we can become saints, no matter which vocation we have, right? Fr. Ripperger helps with that also!
Thank you Fr Ripperger! Wish we had More Holy Shepherds like you. The Church would truly be over flowing even More…. Extremely Enjoy TLM ❤️🙏🏻📿 and you’re Talks.
As Jesus Christ said in the Gospel of Matthew 22:14. We all have different vocations that God has for us all. Some men are called to be priests and some other men are called to become Deacons. And then there’s other men who will join the Knights of Columbus. Take me for example, I’ve been a member of the Knights of Columbus for a number of years and in March last year the grand knight offered me the proposition to become the new lecturer within the council meetings of every month and my job and role as a lecturer is to give out a speech for 3 minutes. And when he asked me to become the new lecturer, I was shocked and speechless. But more importantly I was deeply honored to accept this opportunity and position. And in August last year I was officially promoted to the rank. And on the big day it happened. My mom & dad attended the event and they were deeply proud of me. Now why did the grand knight select me? And the answer to that question is because of my past readings as a lecturer during mass. And now that the position is officially mine. Every month I have to write up a new speech. The very first speech I gave out was about the Divine Mercy devotion and who founded it. The Polish nun, Saint Faustina. So yes, I do have a talent for speaking well and informing my brother Knights of Columbus. And sometimes I pray to God for guidance on what I should write down for my new speech. And yes, I intend on continuing my position as a lecturer within my council meetings in the future.
All of these beautiful pictures of churches make me so homesick for a traditional church, like the ones I used to know. My church is nice, beautiful but not awesome like these. To be honest, it feels a little too modern..
I sure wish more priest would think similar to the way you do Fr. Rep! I truly know it’s not The Will of God that the whole world move to 2 or 3 places on the earth. Most People come to America for money first then God if there’s time for Him. Some come here only for a job! This world needs a conversion. God bless you Fr. Repperger!
@@aliccoop2617 The reverence is night and day. I roll my eyes at the excuse of "well that's just too expensive to make a church look like that". No one is saying every church must look exactly like St Peters Bascilica, but we all know reverence and tradition when you see it...just like you know modern "we-just-like-to-try-new-things" garbage.
The Saint Joseph Jesus's stepfather scared prayer Thank God! Praising God! Honor God! Love God! Glorify God! This above prayer is for vocation prayer! from Holy Sprite teached me! I am a woman of faith!
Two things would be handy (for someone like me). 1. Have a 10 second rewind button & 2. Have a written transcript. I spend a lot of time backing up and pausing. Thank you Father for your help.
If you're on Mobile you can double tap the left side of the screen to rewind by 10 seconds. On keyboard I wanna say it's the 'J' key that rewinds as well (and you only need to tap it once). Hopefully this helps. And I agree that full transcripts would also be nice.
Yes, helpful if there is time stamp for each sub-topic. Over-all, this clip IS great material for guidance to young people, in-school and OSY. I envy the few people who at an early age, have known already God's will for them. Maybe before I am 60 y/o I would be certain that I am treading the path I am called towards to.
27:48 Yes, I believe most young men are called by God to be depressed and spend their lives alone. Because if there was anything else, He'd probably let us know what to do. But instead, we have to just be alone, to recognize that God has turned His face from us, and that we deserve the loneliness and suffering.
Fr. Ripperger, I seem to have only holes in my faith! I have prayed for years that God make me into the person He intended for me to be. I don't know that I am blocking Him from doing so. I don't seem to "get it" or be good at anything. I am a challenge to all I know. I am bipolar, even though I try to stay in a state of grace. ( Usually my failing is making it to mass ) :( I read what I can on Catholicism, went to Catholic schools, and found myself unable to complete any part of God's will fully...
You sound pretty human to me! Your efforts do count ❤ I am a pro at messing up in more ways than I can count-yet somehow I know God loves me and I just keep trying…
St Therese’s sister was intellectually challenged. She struggled endlessly as a child. However during her life as a nun she grew a great deal & overcame so much, that many that knew her, perceived her to be a saint before she died. Personally, I practiced new age in my early 20’s it took me many years to measure up spirituality after this, much suffering and falling back into old sins etc. However in recent years I’ve grown very much, what I found that helped most was the Rosary. Once when I was praying to God asking Him how can I remove obstacles to holiness, He showed me the Holy Rosary, reciting it everyday even often has helped a lot, I particularly focus on the Sorrowful mysteries due to examples from exorcists on how powerful this is. Another grace which helped me progress greatly has been having masses offered for myself. You’re clearly on the right path, as you sound like you are seriously striving after God. Have patience with yourself, God has a definitive plan for you, you can be sure about that. God bless.
That never crossed my mind about being a priest no thank you that’s not me I do know a lot of good priest it’s sad that there are some bad ones out there. That may the good ones look bad that’s why I pray for them every day God bless you Fr! may the Holy Spirit guide you. Amen 🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻
@@desperado77760 It is not rare! There are many priests who are devoted to God. Worldly people tend to believe everything they read or see on TV. The media is not to be trusted. They love sensationalism.
I think one of the way to know if your vocation is marriage is, by paying a visit to religious orders. With prayer you'll get to know if the religious life is for you or marriage. About the spouse pray. For the singles, I think it's for those who have no desire to live with a spouse or have children and of course live chastity at the same time.
"The married life is not a vocation?" Right at the beginning was a married couple. The Lord Jesus also upheld the sacredness of marriage, when He taught against divorce. Joseph was told to "take Mary his wife.." It's high time someone in the Catholic Church has a good prayerful look at the married life, and see the real calling that it is, to safeguard the life of the Unborn and children. Our Lady, appearing in Fatima said through Sr. Lucia, that "Satan will target Marriage and the Family." If the married life isn't seen as a holy vocation which it is, then young people will shirk it and under value it's real value to God's plan in salvation.
The proper meaning if vocation is a state in life higher than marriage, being consecrated singleness, priesthood and religious life. Fr Ripperger is certainly no denying the importance and beauty of marriage
@@jasonhaiflich8967 Holy families with faith gives vocations. A lot of saints have families with deep faith for example st. Augustin. Without holy families we have what we have in church. Many vocations are lost because of lack of faith of parents, im perfect example.
For women with a certain grace of intelligence in the written word, it might mean picking up the practice of journalism with an emphasis on creating your own blog. We might have a difficult time finding good journalists to teach us the craft that is handed down for future generations though.
@@edithhernandezfussy423 journaling and journalism have the same root word like in French journée means daily. From the rising of the sun to its setting, the scriptures tell us over and over in various ways. A bridegroom leaves his tent in Psalm 19 and runs his courses, reflecting at night the events of the day. Unfortunately, the journalism today as news is said to be narrative driven, but why would that be? Is it meant to irritate its readers into revolting against a system or bring a sense of harmony to a world that needs to be tamed? A deft reader should be able interrupt what needs to be done in this case.
Life, is like q vapor, try and think every day is your last, with fear of the Lord, but cast your concerns to him, then I would hope, there less bumps and bubbles in the road. I am 56 looked after my folks and still a virgin, had one women who I dated, she was a taker. "YOUR WILL BE DONE".
Hey Steve, I need your help. I have no one to help me on this. The Chastisment is coming down the pike, should I stay where I am with my dad or join the OFM? What are your thoughts... our home is a refuge. Maby after the Chastisment I can become a Priest??
I won't even set myself as an example because I am certainly not but I know countless people who prayed and prayed and never received anything, no guidance, no directions, nothing and in the end they are just fearful they have somehow offended God... But, after all, it is a system in which you can always be blamed for something - oh, you didn't pray for right thing, or you weren't clean enough, or you didn't do the prayer the right way, or maybe God has other plans etc. There is always an excuse and most of the times the homilies, the explanations etc are about why God doesn't do what he supposedly promises to do.
I have the same question. I did not follow God’s will in my early adult life. The last sentence of this talk gives me hope that if I’m sincere and prayerful in wanting to follow God’s will now, He will ensure that I follow His will in the end but I would love to learn more about how this happens. I’m glad you asked this question and if anyone has insights into this, I would be grateful to hear them.
Yes. Where you are now is God's Will for you. Maybe only his permissive will but still you can start right now to do his will by fulfilling all of your duties in life and seeking his will in your everyday life, his will is not for you try worry about fixing your past, but on growing in sanctity now.
It's all about starting again don't worry about your past provide you try to live in the state of grace that's God's will. We try and fall keep trying until we reach heaven. Remember the goal is to make it to heaven 🎉
When Jesus renamed Simon to Peter & said on this rock I will build My Church and the gates of hell will not overcome it. Then after He Rose from the dead, on the sea shore he told Peter to feed, to care, and to tend His sheep. ( Tend means to govern.) On Pentecost, Peter is the one who goes out and publicly professes Jesus to the crowds. Peter is the apostle whose very shadow heals the sick placed along his path. Paul goes to Jerusalem to consult with Peter and James, and Peter reminds him to teach to remember the widows, orphans, and poor. Peter has the vision of the non kosher foods that will be acceptable to now eat. In lists made of Apostles he is always listed first. When John & Peter checked out the empty tomb on Easter morning, although John arrived first, he waited for Peter to enter.
Okay, but how do you decide what to do if you don't know what Gods' will is? If you are praying to know if you should do A, B, or C. He doesn't tell me, but what if he wants me to do B, but I instead do A. This means that I went contrary to his will, and chose my own will. I have been struggling with this dellemma for years. I don't know what god wants me to do, and I fear that I will do the wrong thing, and be bad, and thus I don't do anything. I know that this too is a decision, and most likely a decision that isn't his will, but there are infinate options to do, and he doesn't tell me, so I don't know what to do, and I dont' want to go contrary to his will. I feel like this is a loose lose situation, and it makes me feel close to despair. I find I am more likley to make decisions when I stop trying to do God's will, and just do what I want to do, but this makes me worry that I will go to Hell if I do this since I would be choosing my will over his will. Unless it is his will that I do what I want to do, but then I keep hearing that it is bad to choose your own will over God's, and I worry that I will go to Hell
God reveals His will through His Church. Pray the Rosary with devotion everyday without fail. (It is Gods will that we pray everyday) meditate about God for 15 minutes a day. Partake of the sacraments frequently. Every 2 weeks goto confession and partake of the Eucharist frequently and be well prepared for reception of the Eucharist. St. Joseph's missal has the Church precepts which are necessary and fulfill God's will. Prayer is absolutely mandatory. "Structured prayer" and spontaneous. This is how I was able to obtain peace. This is because I am doing His will. Hope that helps. God Bless
I pray the Litany of Trust, I go to daily Mass , and confess often. I always ask God and then stay silent ( this is hard BUT it's only hard because we're not used to it and we have to overcome by practicing silence daily depending on God's Grace) find someone who you can talk to who is spiritual knowledgeable; Priest, religious brothers/sisters. And have trust on God! I noticed I didn't trust God because I would think I would screw up and pick the wrong path and God couldn't help me with it but then I realized that a loving Father will not allow His child who wants to do His Will choose against Him 🙏🏻
@@cnunex1766 Thank you for your response. I tried that last night and I still didn't hear anything. Also, I am confused as to why one should address Mary as one tittle over another.

What is God's will for me if I always end up broke after spending all my money on things I don't need and then always be stuck with my parents? I think my mom want me to be miserable like her and unmarried
Hello brother/sister, I suggest you read up on money management and financial discipline. It isn't God's will that we waste the resources He gives us. I can understand the frustration. So I'll suggest you read up on what I said earlier, make a workable plan, get an accountability partner to ensure you're always on track and pray. Pax Christi.
Your mom loves you and doesn't want you to be miserable. Perhaps it is God's will that you show your mother the way out of poverty by learning yourself.
While I respect women that stay at home, I don’t think the traditional family is the only way to raise holy children. I was engaged to a man from a traditional family...oldest of 13, and his father used to assist with exorcisms. My ex fiancé sexually, physically, mentally, and spiritually abused me. That family failed to raised a gentleman. If they were successful, that man would not have abused me. I think each family has to discern how to raise holy children according to what they feel is best for them. It may be for them to have the money home, or the mom work. But, that requires discernment. I’m currently dating a man with two working parents, and I can say he definitely is a gentleman and a man after Gods heart. Don’t assume traditional families are the only right way. But yes I’ve meet some great tradition families. I just almost married into the wrong one.
There is also free will. Your ex fiancee chose the bad path. Judas was moulded by the King of kings but he still chose 30 silvers. Glad you got out of that abusive relationship.
@Gangari TheWanderer I disagree. I feel "traditional" does not mean the woman stays at home. I believe it means that the roles of husband and wife are properly fullfilled. Meaning, the husband acts as the provider, protector, spiritual leader, and the woman be submissive. Both respect each other. I believe if the woman works outside the home, it could be God's WIll if the husband feels it does not interfer with her priority as wife and mother. I do believe that is possible. Sometimes women are called to work outside the home. Not many men are willing to pay for 300k in a women's student loan debt who may "want" to stay home.
It helped me to read your comment. I’ve had a bad experience too, with a man brought up in a traditional home. I’m glad you got out of that relationship and found a new godly man. Did you get any support from church when you went through the abuse? I went through mental, spiritual and emotional abuse by that man and it was when I was newly confirmed. He lead a prayer group I was invited into. We talked about our faith and he was very knowledgeable. I was glad to have met him but he was getting under my skin and I felt very controlled. Then it became bad because when I said I needed space he didn’t respect me. Also he stalked me. Also he used and told people from church to ask for me to get back to the prayer group. It was such a hard experience when I’d newly become a Catholic. I got no good support or understanding from church. Actually people turned a blind eye or deaf ear when I tried to tell them. I was frightened. I still get the chills when I think of it. And when I see him. He got away with it. No one told him anything. He even recently got married too. His third marriage. I hope that woman doesn’t get the same treatment as I did. It really hurt me and affected me negatively for years (it was horrible to see him in church). Now he doesn’t attend my church but he could turn up too. I wish we had support at church when these things happen.
I mean this in all charity, but I notice on a majority of your videos the sound quality and video quality could improve for the betterment of your audience. I know someone who works extensively with editing if you would like their info I know they would love to work with you to make your work very professional.
Where did all of this come from? I ask this because, if I'm honest, I found a lot of it contradictory. For instance, "God would never ask you to do something evil" (which seems logical on the surface) ... but yet He sometimes apparently commanded the genocide of peoples and even entire nations (contrary to His fifth Commandment: thou shalt not kill). This makes me wonder (and I mean *_genuinely wonder_* ) if all of the Bible was truly inspired by The Holy Spirit, as is the claim ... If this does come from scripture, then could you provide specific references please (so we can verify and delve deeper into them)? If from Tradition, then the same request applies ... but then I also have to ask: what makes a Doctor of the Church's word or judgment on something definitive / final? Is it just because some Pope of the day liked what he / she said? I mean, I also agree with a lot of what they have said, but I also happen to think that they left a few things incomplete or got a few things not entirely right. Does that make me a heretic? Is God's Word not open to more than one correct interpretation? I don't know. A lot of this just doesn't seem to jive ... ... or maybe I am just another ignorant, lousy heretic tool being influenced and misused by Satan and his minions ... Please pray for me and for all of us, that God would reveal all with clarity. Ultimately, I truly do just want His Perfect Will to be done. 🕆📿❤
That's why you cannot use human understanding in Catholicism. Pray that God will guide you in the faith. If you are Protestant, please denounce this error. Repent, and do penance. Look for a traditional Catholic priest for spiritual guidance. God bless you.
@@BujangMelaka90 Thank you for your prayer. I am a practicing Catholic. Note that you have not provided any actual answers to my questions, but instead another personal opinion. To some degree, I agree with you on the matter of faith: some things need to be believed or at least lived before they can be properly understood. And some things are just beyond our current limited understanding. Yet, are you saying that all the saints before us, and Fr. Ripperger, did not use human understanding to come to these conclusions? Unless God reveals it directly to us or gifts us with it, we do not have access to His Divine understanding. How else, then, are we all to understand anything at all? Or are you saying that we are not meant to understand, but instead to follow blindly whenever we don't understand? How then, are we to be certain that what is being taught to us does not have an element of the devil's deception in it (even inadvertently)? If God wanted blind followers, then why would He have gifted us with free will? If He wanted unthinking minds, then why gift us with an intellect? If divine thinking, then why not give us His divine understanding? Why doesn't He make Himself and His Perfect Will plain to (or even better yet, inherent in) us, His creatures?
Rob Onymous Prayers to Our Father for you. It is good to have questions, cuz with no questions there is no growth. This is part of why Jesus said seek and ye shall find. I tell others if you don’t go to your grave not standing in awe and wonder of God then you did something wrong. God Bless
@Hona Hona perhaps you need a strong dose of the "mercy" you have shown to your brother. Unless YOU repent, you most certainly will eat all your words and then some. You may even taste the bitterness of what is in your heart before you realize you most certainly deserve it!
Rob Onymous : First of all, I’d recommend you to speak to a traditional priest about this. That is a must... Apart from that, I’m reluctant to answer your questions directly, for I am a simple layman; and those elevated topics are above my pay grade. Catholic Answers has some videos and articles about the Lord and how he interacted with man in the OT; I think they’re worth checking. Regarding the more doctrinal/dogmatic questions you ask, I’d say you should check out St Thomas Aquinas’ insight, as well as the Catechism of Trent, St Pius X’s Catechism, Father Ludwig Ott’s writings on Catholic Dogma, and writings of Saints and Doctors of the Church. I’ll be praying for you. Entrust yourself to our Lady.
i don't see anything supernatural about this. seems most people can use their human brain and figure this out for themselves.i thought God's will involved more than a career. something inner and spiritual of the heart. love of and likeness to Christ. orthodoxy and it's saint's do this.
Did not Jesus say call NO MANFather that there IS only one..our Father in Heaven. Pope??? Only One mediator...Jesus...Our Blessed Mother, Mediatrex. We are All called to Priesthood..... I do honor and love many of your wonderful videos and Thankyou for sharing.
Are we not calling our male parent on Earth father? I think Jesus meant that we should not consider anyone on earth as the source of All Good. Protestants use the same verse to say how Catholics are wrong to call priests Father. I asked the same question, "Do you not call your father father? Are you also doing something that Jesus said not to?"
I am glad our reverend is not like this or a lot of youth would not be in the Church in our parish. What American parish is this? Is this typical in your archdiocese? Wow. The accents in all the wrong places. Just wow. Pope Francis must not be much happier than Jesus.

So yes, I do have a talent for speaking well and informing my brother Knights of Columbus. And sometimes I pray to God for guidance on what I should write down for my new speech. And yes, I intend on continuing my position as a lecturer within my council meetings in the future.
Thank You, Father. As always, your words are great food for thought and action!
Thank you Father

Hey pal, this is your friendly reminder to come back to this video and work on conforming to the will of God😁
Repperger!
All these breath-taking pictures of the insides of churches ...this is how churches ought to look...I'm tired of the modernist aesthetic.
I agree, but once I close my eyes Praying the Rosary as long as it's quiet , anywhere Beautiful+

@@aliccoop2617 The reverence is night and day. I roll my eyes at the excuse of "well that's just too expensive to make a church look like that". Two things would be handy (for someone like me).
1. Have a 10 second rewind button &
I've heard this talk before.. might have been on here. but it's a good one.😊
Thank you Fr. Ripperger you've been very enlightening in many ways than one. God bless you.

Excellent advice, thank you.
Amen 🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻

Find the Prayer of Trust by Bl. Father Michael Sopocko who was St. Faustyna's Spiritual Director (awesome)
"The married life is not a vocation?"
Right at the beginning was a married couple.
The Lord Jesus also upheld the sacredness of marriage, when He taught against divorce.
Joseph was told to "take Mary his wife.."
It's high time someone in the Catholic Church has a good prayerful look at the married life, and see the real calling that it is, to safeguard the life of the Unborn and children.
Our Lady, appearing in Fatima said through Sr. Lucia, that "Satan will target Marriage and the Family."
If the married life isn't seen as a holy vocation which it is, then young people will shirk it and under value it's real value to God's plan in salvation.
He didn't start with vocations. 1st part is general.
Journalism..like news?? Or journaling through life. Blessings

But what happens if you have missed the discerning? Can you get back on track to finish your own race?

I would like to know how do you know if you can join a third order? (married person). Thanks for the talk.
Yes you can .. third order Carmelites etc.
When did God set the hierarchy in the church? with the pope at the top (as mentioned above around 2:30)

Fr. Says pray to Our Lady of Sorrows whenever you have to discern something important. Try it..it works
Have you read Introduction to the Devout Life? Saint Francis de Sales talks about this very problem.

I just almost married into the wrong one.
en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gentleman

This audio quality is very poor. I can barely hear anything.

Are we not calling our male parent on Earth father? I think Jesus meant that we should not consider anyone on earth as the source of All Good.
