- I visited this courthouse approximately 6 months ago and the link to that story can be found in the description of this story.
There was a huge turnaround in the DA and Public Defenders Office’s. It appears that these two officers have hooked up on some education, following my last story here.
I was also working on something new in reference to the Juvenile Court and DFCS. I have yet to receive a response from the Juvenile Court in an open record’s request I submitted.

Those cameras on the ceilings makes me nervous. I want the building arrested for intentional intimidation of a law abiding citizen in a public building. They are causing me great anxiety and I may need professional PTSD therapy from the sight of those cameras.

Exactly. If it's illegal for the public to take pictures in public it's illegal for any building to have cameras up and take videos of the public

You can really see my shaking, in the reflection, when we are in the DAs office. My footage in here was useless. Great job covering the revisit, GT. Your first time, here, definitely made a difference ..... we were even told that, in the Law Library. By the way, the librarian was a ray of sunshine; the greatest we encountered.
The proof is in the pudding. This video proves the importance of these audits and that they do work. There is a purpose. There is a reason and they do accomplish something.

Public servants can often fall victim to a numbing delusion that they're tax-funded, public installation is now identified as their own little private monarchy ,, now exempt from law or Constitution...A civilian entering and disabusing them of their sovereignty at the end of a video camera can trigger a very awkward environment...usually predicating a call for help to the local constabulary...and that can go anywhere...
These government employees are ridiculous
Just a heads up, the Post Office in Peachtree Corners GA has posted a sign that says that you cannot take pics of your mail OR the postal employee's! I thought that it was a joke but it is not! Might want to look into this.

Take every measure to get the FOIA request. They are expecting you to give up and give in. Keep fighting until you get the report. Request more reports any reports from this office. Please continue to visit these public servants.
I did the Pickens county courthouse about 4 years ago & had a completely different reaction. As a matter of fact the deputy, I'm sorry I can't remember his name gave me a tour of the courthouse and was very courteous & respectful of my rights & had no problem with Us filming.

Ok so Yes you made an improvement but some of these public servants are still very ignorant & i was surprised that they said they haven't received any additional training. And they were very ignorant about public records!! Employees names are NOT excempt...she SHOULD KNOW THAT!!! And you never got your response back on your request! 😡👎 That black woman who wouldn't answer any questions about the Cherokee group was RUDE!
