I fished commercial for halibut out of Port San Luis for 6 years . Our best day was 18 legals with 3 guys on the boat , Second best was 15 legals with only 2 guys on the boat ,but one fish decided he wasn't ready to be cooked so he went ballistic out of the live well ,shot 10 ft in the air and hit the water . He deserved to live lol . We won the halibut derby at the port 2 years in a row.
