W Gang! Let's start a conversation. What are you guys using in your setups? Also, swing by the website to check out the accompanying blog post. MWAH 😀 www.visionarywatts.com/blog/standing-desk-cable-management-amazon
Been wanting to switch to a standing desk (from my current hot mess of a setup) but have been putting it off because the prospect of cable management was a bit too overwhelming. You laid everything out so clearly and made the process approachable. Really appreciate you doing the legwork and finding all the good products that work together. Oh and thanks for keeping it to Amazon so that I can get everything in Canada! As always, impeccable production value and attention to detail. You know this already but you’re underrated AF!
Thank you for this comment! 🙌 Sometimes I see cable management video/blogs and it’s IKEA stuff but my closest IKEA is 3 hours away lol. That’s where Amazon came into play. Thank you for watching! Let me know if you ever have any questions about the stuff I mentioned 🙏
Should’ve watched this before I did my cable management, lol ! Mine isn’t bad and I have a single cord as well that connects to all my surge outlet, my standing desk does collect a lot of dust though. Loved the video!
I’ve been using velcro for a while and I highly recommend! The one i got is also able to withstand outdoor conditions, so it’s definitely strong enough for my desk
No idea why I never thought to mount the power to the underside of the desk! Spent so much time and effort on my cable management, all for my standing desk to not really be useable anymore.. Thanks for this!
@@visionarywatts because of how it's set up. I put my surge protector on the wall and put the chords up so neatly that there's no room for the desk to go up (just an oversight tbh)
have you considered covering the entire back/side of the power brick with the tape or velcro? more surface area = better weight distribution, although tbh while adhesive velcro is my favourite thing ever for cable management, the monitor power brick is the one thing it failed to hold even though I did cover the entire surface area I had available
Yep! I ended up using Velcro in the end. I thought I said that somewhere in this video but maybe not. The velcro I bought on Amazon has kept things in place 🙌
It's this but I don't think they make the length I have anymore: grovemade.com/product/wool-felt-desk-pad/?initial=346 For cheaper options check out amazon or etsy
I prefer not to have my large tower on my desk but if I had a mini ITX build I would. Additionally, I have 2 extra Alex drawers I haven't built. I might put one together and put the tower on top.

I love it, your videos are fantastic! All the best from Denmark
Hello Dane in Denmark! thanks for watching!
The spacing on the surge protector is key 👌🏿
True. I have one I don’t use anymore because of that problem
Excellent video and advice! Well done 👏
So much work and strategy went into this! Great work my friend.
Thanks for noticing haha. I definitely had to break the process of making this video down a lot

Not usually anymore because because of how it’s set up or you just don’t use the desk anymore?

Those adhesive clips will save your life lol
There’s another type out there I want to try but yes, definitely

Also! Would you ever put the pc on the desk?

Now you just need a face plate for your outlet on the wall lol
Haha I need to call someone over to have the outlet changed out before that. The previous owner painted a tan color over it and the outlet cover. Yuck
