Souness was one hell of a player and is an all-round top bloke
Never followed any team souness played for as a villa fan but he is a good listen when he talks football. Proper man's man.
This was a cracking watch. A couple of mates having a chat, being honest, almost as if the cameras were not there 👏

Anyone who had more than 30% grey hair or remembered the 1970s was sent to the Sky penalty colony
It's very well documented that he was let go, after saying that "It's a man's game."
The moment those words left his mouth he was finished.

I admire his humility regarding Maradona. Would have been easy to big himself up about his matches against him but he admitted he was completely outplayed by him.

Just shows how good Maradona was ,undoubtedly sourness tried to lay a glove on him ( metaphorically) but couldn't get near him ,even when players did get a bite at him he was so strong and rode the tackles, the best ever and would be even better today with the rules and pitches

Souness is the one I listen more intently to than any other. He mostly makes sense of most things. Top player too.
Souness was such a great player. He's on the same level as Gerrard.

The man literally Revolutionised Rangers in the 80's. Taking advantage of the fact English sides were banned from Europe and brought so many current and Former England internationals. It filterd into one of the most successful spells in the clubs history.
I’m only 20 years old and I’m a United fan aswell but I love souness, I hope he stays healthy for as long as he can 👌🏻 my grandad who passed was also Scottish so that’s why I like souness even more

Pure and utter joy listening to you guys.Just hug it oot for gods sake.Says an awful lot about you jim,mr souness trusted you in that manner,and that comes through.I love the passionate side of fitba,it saved me as a kid,going through dreadfull physical abuse at the hands of my own mother,watching people like graham,with all his qualities drove me on to be better and stronger and to be passionate and never to apologize for that.I met mr souness at the meet n greet a few years back at the s.e.c.c and was so overwhelmed i grabbed him in a huge bear! hug and he took it the spirit it was given,but i didnt realize at the time there was more in it for me,i was thanking him and football for saving my life,thats what this passion for this game does for you.What an absolute pleasure!!!❤😂

I remember Ally McCoist talking about a bust up in a Rangers training match (they used to play "England v Scotland" but souness would fill in on the 'England' players side. The look of joy on McCoist's face when he hints that in the melee he may have got 'one or two punches in' on Souness, as it was probably the only time he'd get away with it.
Sky sports is full of women commentators and analysts these days so its not any wonder Graham Souness doesn't miss it.

Simon grates when he insists on being a bit playground from time to time. Unnecessary snipes diminish his otherwise great contribution. To have two Scots on here, this particular duo, is brilliant. Two esteemed gents. We English have ten times more people and should win almost every contest between the two, yet we don't. Looking forward to backing Scotland in the Euros, as well as England.

Best thing sly ever did was getting rid of their dream panel due to wholeness and political correctness. Sky was far too scripted and constrained anyway. It’s given birth to these types of podcasts and discussions, something sky would rarely do.
