    OMG... if you all haven't tried this milk yet..IT' THE BOMB...I kind of did this the hard way by using my Brazil nut meal..I had left over..It turned out great, but using meal rather than whole nuts. It was a little more work.. straining it. Use the whole nuts to soak as shown in this video.. Seriously. This nut milk is so good. I use it as part of a mix of liquids for Protein Shakes.

    Love Brazil nuts! I’ll have to try this. I made cashew milk and put the pulp along with nutrition yeast into turkey meatballs, turned out great! I’m interested in what I can do with Brazil nut pulp.

    Will be trying this one for sure. Do you leave the nuts that are soaking on the counter or in the refrigerator for the 24 hours. Maybe I missed that but I thought I would ask. Thanks again.

      I just leave them on the counter so I do not forget it the next day, I see it and remember to take care of it

    For pumpkin seed milk do you know if you can use fresh seeds or should they be dried first? I have a pumpkin that we will be cleaning out and cooking down soon so that I can have pumpkin in the freezer for baking and oatmeal.

    • @RainCountryHomestead
      @RainCountryHomestead  4 роки тому

      Fresh would be great, just recommended to remove the hulls if you plan to use the pulp for anything. By the way, I was not crazy about the taste of the pumpkin seed milk but could still be using in making milk based gravies.

    Do you have a video on storing those dates

    • @RainCountryHomestead
      @RainCountryHomestead  2 роки тому +1

      You can vacuum seal in jars but still recommended they be stored in a pretty cool area as they sometimes will decide to ferment in the jar as a result of their high sugar content. Not that that is bad, they are actually quite good when they do that, but simply may not be what you want. Otherwise simply store in the freezer

    So I have a 99$ Juicer and my pumpkin milk didn't turn out too great.
    So I'm assuming with Brazil nuts, since they are harder, we have to soak them longer to go easy on the juicer??

      He has been so busy he simply has not had time but we did manage to squeeze a video in with the two of us I think will publish next week. He should be able to start doing more soon now that our roof is done and after he finishes up another project he is helping a family member with :)
