Hey man! How’s your reel holding up? I’ve heard some pretty mixed reviews on this one- I’d be stoked to see if it’s held up against the rest of time!!!
I just bought this. Its my first baitcaster. Im excited to learn on this one considering ive always been a spinning reel guy. Im up to the challenge. I been catching some really big blue catfish and i hope this does the trick.
I've had three of the s models 6000 the only thing is the the side plate that the tension nut You're not careful but I made a fix for if you do not lose the piece that pulls out the plate because they were made in China and are not made well

Just bought one at the local pawn shop today for $30 , on a really nice Shakespeare rod , great buy

Does the reel still work?
Yes is does and I currently use it to catfish and striper fish.
