- Every week of camp CIAS hosts a talent show for the campers and their buddies. They invite people from the community and parents to attend. It's a must-see event! We are so proud of what Isaiah is doing at camp. Abbie may actually hate sports lol...that's ok, at this age there isn't much she really likes anyway.

You and Cilla acknowledging that this is an important week for Isaiah and showing up to support him made me emotional. Some parents fail to show up for the children when they are a child and you guys are still showing up for him even though he’s adult. Simply because you want to, not because you have to. I bet that means SO much to him. You guys crush parenting. Isaiah and Abby are so lucky. They hit the parent jackpot. Not one awesome parent but two. As normal as it may seem to you, that’s very uncommon.
Do you think she still remembers that night she jumped in the pool and it was so cold. She just lost that love of water since 😊that time.
is abbie doing a new thing in the pool now? is she just staying in the corner and not swimming?

I loved the camp portion, in fact will volunteer. Abbie is growing up and I have watched her grow. I wish all parents were so committed to their special needs child as you guys have/are. Her progress over the years is amazing. If people only knew what is really involved with raising a special needs child. I am so proud of both of you. Isiah, is a tremendous brother and is sharing his love and knowledge from growing up with his sister. Thank you for being so a great family. Love Cindy

Love how Sandy seems to want to play but also seems to be keeping a close watchful eye on Abby while she’s in the pool, like she’d jump in the moment Abbie had a real issue. you can she her service dog behavior there, what a sweet dog 😊

for that throwing game: might it be helpful for Abby to get some kind of place marker on the ground (sort of like a baseball plate) so she knows where to stand?

What a fun afternoon! We just finished up a week of camping. We toured a University in Pennsylvania for our oldest. I am longing for a dip in the pool after unloading the camper, but I don’t have a pool. 😂

suggested ideas- with the yard game, break it down to her learning how to throw before adding in the turn taking.
with the swimming with the board, try having her walk with two hands on the board. walk it the length of the short width of the pool in the deep end where she has a better center of gravity at first.

Hi asa I have a question for you? Can an out of state or go to that camp? I am blind and I am also autistic. I have been looking for a camp home to go to my camp my love very much closed down a few years ago, it was like home to me. I miss my friendship with my friends and fellowship with other people like me. Is there a scholarship and if there is how would I get a hold of it? I am also on a fixed income. I am 44 years old and I am blind and also autistic and I have slight CP. I miss being at my camp home. I loved it there never wanted to leave either. But of course we had to at the end of the week but boy did we have a lot of fun together me and all my friends. I would like to connect and meet with other people and go to camp again I really miss it. I hope you all are doing well. I hope Abby gets to go to Camp this year too. I know she loves it. She’s like me she likes adventure. She’s a go-getter.

My sister n brother in law made them by themselves for tailgating bck when n Sam its last for ever we know have at my house bc we started to use them for parties now it’s a great game I know you not fan of the ymca or stuff like that they have a lot have great things for special ends people she might like it too n you guys might like it too
