Hey everyone! Sorry for the long absence, I don't have time to run through endless unnamed tracks and edit AC music anymore because of my work so don't expect anything AC related soon :/
However, I've fallen in love with RDR2 and this particular track, which I wanted a full version of ever since I heard it as I was crying over Arthur Morgan's finale. So I decided to record and edit it myself! Enjoy :)

Arthur catching Tuberculosis wasn't just a sad and historically accurate means of ending the story, the whole theme of red dead redemption is that these people can't fight change, and they're only trying to prolong the inevitable, Arthur getting a terminal illness made him realize that he only had a short amount of time to "make" things right by making sure the ones he loved adapted to the changing world, specifically John and he tried to warn dutch, although he knew he was a lost cause at that point. Beautiful way of ending a character arc.

Thanks for this. I really wish the shootout with the Pinkertons was longer, because that's when the song is at its best before Micah shows up and it fades into the single instrument. Happens way too fast, so that version of the track barely gets to shine. What a fantastic tearjerker of a track for someone's last stand. And when the drums kick in, it's like "yeah, I'm dying, but I'm going to give all of you a hell of a fight before I go."

@@deadchannel1289 Wanna know what else would be cool? If they actually add in the New Austin missions for Arthur because there were originally missions in New Austin and Arthur was allowed to go there, but for some reason Rockstar cut it out of the game. Hell, Undead Nightmare DLC was supposed to be coming to RDR2 as well, but Rockstar canceled that to work on the shitty online part of the game, which is still shit despite them working on it.

This track really proves a point that music can "grip" onto your emotions when used in the right moments, like the change in tempo at 1:13. The theme changes drastically from this point, and to me this is when Arthur makes us feel the realization that this music - this moment - is his theme; *this is his redemption.*

I have never cried in a game before.........but Red Dead Redemption II touched my heart. And it has a special place in my heart.
This song gives off such a "if I'm going down you are coming with me" vibe
OMG you are back...and not with AC music. A surprise to be sure but a welcome.
I'm not really back, sadly. Between work and broken PCs, I'm not attached to AC enough anymore to spend days looking for specific unnamed files in dozens of directories. RDR2 became such a special game to me, and no one had uploaded a full version of this legendary track, so I wanted to share it. You should try it, the storytelling is unique.

If you actually focus Arthur is the reason the gang teared apart and they all had their gangs like in red dead redemption mission the were packing to leave together until Arthur says Micah is a rat
I disagree with that since I guess Arthur just wanted Dutch to know that many of their short comings was because of Micah being the rat. I'm sure he would've been fine having Dutch kick Micah out of the gang, knowing that things will go wrong with him in the gang, just like the Strawberry mission and the fact that his actions led to Hosea and Lenny dying. In reality, Micah pulled his gun on Arthur first causing that entire situation to blow up how it did and escalate even further. Micah also shot first in the standoff, which lead to Dutch stepping in even more and everyone choosing their side. Arthur was looking out for the gang, but Micah was the real reason the gang split like it did.
He didn't bring the gang down. not telling them about micah would've been worse, they would've all been captured and executed.
@@toan7327 His actions didn't lead to Hosea and Lenny's death. That was because of Hosea's and Dutch's failure to use their brains to know that the bank job wouldn't go well because of how much heat they put upon theirselves in Chapter 4. And just maybe the entire game.
