Poor you, i bought a replica and compare it with the real one, i bought it first, then about 2 months later my friend bought a new one at the official partner store, i bought the replica around $30, and my friend bought the real one around $70. mine still banging my ears while my friend's already one sounded earphone. i saved 40 bucks for a good replica and it has the exact sound quality.
Some very very decent quality knockoffs are available in China through the usual markets. I was impressed by how accurately the box was duplicated. So good, in fact, that's it's overkill for knockoffs. I'd rather they package them in plastic baggies and dump the cost savings into better hardware. Overall, I cannot complain. Appearance-wise, unless someone spends time staring at them, they're virtually indistinguishable from the real deal. And the sound quality is more than adequate. Considering the crappy compression quality most people listen to, these aren't going to improve the sound, but they're not going to make it worse either. What I like best is the case that has shipped with recent fakes. It's a hard shell pill case with a zipper, not that cheap-ass pouch. I do not know if the real product has also switched to the pill case. My cost....100 RMB (~$15 USD) each. And they're durable...well, the design itself is crap (Beats cord reminds me of cheap-ass micro USB $5 cord style and quality), but the knockoff isn't going to be any less durable than the real deal.

I bought some in white and gold from the app store and had a completely different packaging. First of all u could see the actual beats trough a transparent lid. Second, the case to stow the beats is made out of silicone and looks like a bar of soap. Also the replacement earbuds came wrapped in plastic. They were 100 dollars and from the apple store so they have to be real right?

So I see no reason to support counterfeiting which is illegal and rather low if you ask me when they pass them off as genuine. Well mine is weird, it has the case like the original, has the cheap ear plugs case, has the 2 ear bud instead of the 3 one, design on the earbuds it bright except for the beats logo and the audio jack is exaggerated, plus the buttons are not stiff

I just got mine from eBay, inside the box there are stickers with serial numbers used to hold the booklets together, the black thing that supposes to hold the booklet pack fell off. The "leather" pouch has beats on it in red instead of white and after first use it cracked. Also BAR code on the box is for Beats Tour White (I have bought urbeats black). Serial number (that looks like testing one) is already in use (failed registration). There are 6 different serial numbers inside the box. Most importantly they sound like shit, like something you can buy in £1 store.... I guess fake, right?
I have the fake ones but I am returning them, since i bought it at a physical store with money back policy....I have to say if it wasnt because the fake battery last 10 minutes (lol) i woulda kept them... the sound its pretty good. but the bluetooth and battery are complete trash
Strange. My genuine ones came with the triple flange earbuds. They came with my cousins contract phone, was the free gift. They are old though, this is when they were still owned by monster. There not bad earphones, I wouldn't go out of my way to buy them though.
they're most likely real. my earphones came with my HTC phone and and they were grey as well on the "b" logo. My friend who works at HTC verified them as well and says that most HTC mobile handsets come with "urbeats" that are modified a bit in design.
