Greetings, from your friend across the pond! I have about five or six gardeners that I follow for planting advice, who I've followed for years. And I must say that after watching 3 minutes of your videos, you are my absolute, absolute favorite Gardner. Most people I watch show their perfect plants and flowers, no mistakes. I love how you show your beautiful successes, and I equally love how you show your failures. It lets me know that I am coming along and that everybody makes mistakes and that I'm coming along just fine. You have the best planting advice and do's and don'ts. Thank you so much for making this channel I absolutely love yours. I am now going to forward a link to two of my cousins and three of my friends who have gardens as well, I know they will appreciate you as much as I do. Lots of love to you!❤❤❤❤❤
As a side note I don't know how long it's going to take me to watch every video you have, but dammit that is a goal that I now have! I'm doing this I have committed LOL.

Hi Annette, Many thanks for the video, really clear and easy to follow. I have my seedlings which are really strong and bushy. I'm planting them out into the garden to over winter and wanted to check if they will need protection or just a good mulch? Many thanks

Glad it was helpful! It really depends what you're planting out and also where you live. If they are hardy annuals or biennials, then they should be fine without protection as long as they are 'big' enough. I wouldn't plant out really tiny seedlings but a decent sized one should be ok. Sorry for the late reply - I've been on holiday for 5 weeks!!

Hi Annette thanks for the heads information. Could I ask where do you keep the repotted seedling. I don’t have a greenhouse but I do have a shed and the sun comes around at about midday. Or should I leave them outside. Many thanks

Hi John, I keep them outside in my cold frames. I'm about to film a seeding update so I will make sure I cover this point. Thanks 😁

Hi John, when the seedlings are young I this seaweed feed. amzn.to/3LmIjI4 (very diluted for tiny seedlings)

What was the green seed tray you were using. The one with all the 40 cells.

Hi Geoff, its from a company called Plantpak but I don't use them anymore because I've found stronger trays that last longer - I found these ones broke so often when I was trying to remove the plants that I felt I was using too much plastic. I find smaller trays are much easier to handle. Hope you find something you like.

Hi. Do you keep the seedlings in the shade.

Hi Susan, they are mostly in the shade but probably get 4 hours of direct sun during the middle of the day. I think they're better in semi shade because we don't want them to dry out just as they're germinating - that is death to little seedlings. 😁
