4:02 why not use the built in arca Swiss mount on the small rig? I had an issue where it didn’t line up with my original small rig tripod due to the handle on the tripod but I got a new smallrig ripped with the swivel fluid head and now I don’t need the mounts
the batteries drain pretty quickly. when shooting a video like this, I typically use it with an adapter to draw continuous power from the wall. they’re around 30 bucks on amazon.
Hello, what a good video, I want to ask you how do you mount the DJI microphone receiver on the smallrig, since its pads do not make enough pressure to hold it. In addition, the receiver does not have another type of mount
Hi. Thank you for a great video. I am considering the Sony ZV-E10, but I am wondering if it will be replaced soon with a newer model. What do you think? Will Sony upgrade this camera anytime soon?
not so sure, at least not in the ZV lineup i think. they just introduced the ZV-1F recently. though i think we will see a new line of APS-C cameras anytime soon (as an upgrade to the a6000 lineup)
Is there anything wrong with the Sony tripod? I got it as part of a package with the camera and it seems good, with controls on the tripod. Also, I have been getting great results from Boya wireless microphones and their small shotgun microphone.
nothing wrong with the Sony tripod at all. In fact, there are tons of great options out there, also with microphones. those i showed were simply the ones i had a great experience with after using them for a while :)
I have the cage like this. But I've no idea how to fix an HDMI plug for external screen. The cage holes are behind the door! Is anybody solved this problem? The door prevents to mount cable clips.
Thanks for sharing this amazing video. I am planning to buy this Sony camera. My main purpose is to take videos, mentioned sigma lenses seem to be expensive. Can kit lenses provide good video capabilities. Appreciate your response.
i wasn’t happy with the kit lens overall and ended up selling it. especially for indoor video, you might want a lower F stop. for instance i film at F2.2 with the Sigma 30mm F1.4. The min. aperture on the kit lens is 3.5. I just can’t recommend that lens.
@@davidvongries Thanks for the reply. So I can consider Sigma 30mm f1. 4 preferred lenses for video. Is there any other suitable lens I can get at a cheaper price. Really appreciate your help.
i don’t have the cameta yet, but this video is amazing, thanks!
Favourite New UA-camr! I'm getting a zve10 for Christmas so your videos are perfect. Thank you for making these fantastic videos :)
Thank you so much, really appreciate your kind words! :) Enjoy your ZV-E10! I'm sure you'll have a lot of fun with it.

I’m using the peak design system everywhere, mainly for the capture clip. that’s the reason i have attached their plate to the cage.
This is the perfect video, I’ve been looking for some good accessories and this video helped!!
Nice video, thanks for the tips!
What about extra camera batteries? Does the camera hold a charge well while shooting video?

@@davidvongries can you link the adapter? thanks so much
Thanks for such a thorough breakdown

This was awesome. Thank you!
Thanks for the Video - is the dji mic compatible with the small rig cage or does it block anything ?
Great video!
Can you attach camera clip with the cage you showed at the very beginning?
great video, thanks! but what about flash? which one would you recommend?
ulanzi vs smallrig cage which one better?
Your videos are really well done. I would love to know your settings for B-roll footage
When shooting b-roll, i typically shoot at 1/200 (shutter speed) to stabilize it later in catalyst browse.
Is it alright to buy a gimbal and attach a viewfinder?
Dose the sony zv e10 have night vision or is they lens for that

Will the sigma lenses work well in a Teleprompter? Or is it too wide and it will see the sides.
I’ve used the 30mm F1.4 with a teleprompter with no big issues. Just a slight shift in color/exposure.
your thumbnail is really cool

it’s difficult with a cage and ports, i struggled even getting the mic jack in. so i guess it’s either or with this one.
Kennst du einen guten Selbstauslöser, für die ZV E10, den man einfach per Kabel einstecken kann?
For this video how far away are you from the ZV and 30mm ?
around 2 meters i believe.
Guys is only me receive the camera with out caplocks to camera and the lens ? Seems is weird that they not include the locks
that’s strange. i bought the body only and it came with a cap/protection for the sensor.

Pgytech just released Mantispod 2.0 for almost half the price of Mantispod Pro, any thoughts on it?
I’m mentioning it in this video actually. check out the tripod section of the video and my recommendations part at the end.
@@davidvongries do you know if the mantispod 2.0 also compatible with the peak design V3 plates?
Too bad it does not include a flash and you need to add one urself because it does not do well in low light situations indoor etc
i would hold back on buying a flash and instead buy a light
Now I know how to spend my money 😍

If only there was an optional add on EVF..
It's so bright outdoors here in Perth that a screen is next to useless at times.
WHY DID YOU QUIT UA-cam???? YOU ARE AWESOME !!!!
