This 4 gallon DeWalt Wet and Dry Vacuum has an amazing design: all parts fit into the interior of the vacuum. And the motor is powerful enough to suck up leaves and dirt. The price if right!! 5 STARS *****🖖

Do you think this would work well hooked up to an orbital sander? Is the suction that good? I've had problems with other smaller (though granted, cheaper) shop vacs not providing enough suction and the sander still spitting out tons of dust.

How can one disconnect and reattach the hose so as to use this as a blower? It seems that after the hose was attached to the vacuum intake end it will not allow itself to be disconnected (no m atter how hard I try and squeeze, etc.).

There’s a little tab towards the top of the hose where it snaps in and connects. Going from memory here, but I believe you have to push down so it disconnects and slides out.

Great review! But does the hose lock in place like the CRAFTSMAN CMXEVBE17040? Also the Craftsman comes with a few more attachments. Still trying to decide between this and the Craftsman. This one's cord is 5' longer, if only the hose would lock in place.
I do like how everything stores within the exterior, nothing sticking out like the Craftsman, which would take up more space.

If this unit can be used without a bag, what use would there be for the bag? I've heard using a bag when it makes sense it better for the filter too.

I’m guessing in situations where people don’t have a place to dump the debris and just want to remove the bag and keep everything contained.

Yes! The bag is optional. It’s for situations where people might want to keep all of the debris contained vs. dumping it out from the canister.
