Not one lie told. Still a great place to live and I'm praying i can restore my dad's house he gave me. I want my son to grow up with a different culture than the states, there is just depression and work out here.

Born and raised in the Island until 24 years old. I did elementary through H.S. in public school system (Julio Selles Sola, Sotero Figueroa and University Gardens) and University of P.R. in Bayamon. Granted I am 45 and have lived in many places abroad. I was well educated during my childhood but I know that now days is not the same. Also, All my brothers and sisters are also part of the public school system and they are are successful in different career fields. I wish I can move back with my family but I won't put my daughters through a dilapidated school system.

My husband and I are both boricua. We want to get back to la isla sooooo badly. Neither of us were taugh spanish so we want to get serious about becoming fluent this year.
We are nervous about the process of buying a home (it seems confusing) and finding work if we are not fluent in spanish. Do you have any tips for buying a home?
