Hi JJaguar333. YES you need the Garbaruk extended cage . If you use the XTR medium cage the shifting of gears is big trouble and sometimes you can't shift at all,
I bought the Garbaruk cassette 10-48, I use it on a Scott 735 with XX1 group, but I'm having difficulty adjusting since the chain is scraping between my teeth and jumping between the cogs, can you tell me how I can solve the problem? Before, I used the cassette 11-46 sunrace without problems. I changed the freehub and installed the 10-48 XD cassette with new current, but my mechanic could not solve the problem.
Hi Clayton. try to watch my next video ua-cam.com/video/Xs4RjOPZ878/v-deo.html especially in 6:30min. i explain about the noise and the scraping.if you need more help write to me again. thanks for watching me.
Better Still i have 1 by 14 and 1 by eleven i use a 8 speed chain on both i have a straight chain line none of these problems , all this 11 speed is designed to wear out thinner thinner then snap
until now now one chain have snap.and believe me the pressure is to high, especially in 48-50t. if you make fast paths with uphill and downhill changes almost all the time is perfect to have all the range you need in 1 shifter. now for the straight chain line you are right , is difficult to have completely straight chain line in 1x11-12, but if you see in my next video after 700miles now the all setup is a dream for me work smooth and silent. No problem at all with chain line, ok if you see the chain it looks bend on 50t. but is designed to work with this angle, i have measure my chain after 700miles and have not stretch at all. but all this is depends for what rider are you , there are so many category's in mtb now and everybody want a different chooses for that they want to do
You missed my clues Try a Pinion Drive for Dual suspension , Rohloff for retro fit hard tail with excellent shifting or Shimano Alfine , Its not Pressure on the chain as it is not in a Vaccum , it is is called Load on the chain like i said earlier thin chains are crap you even stated it.
Hi Thanos thank you for the amazing videos on the use of the Garbaruk cassettes I’ll now be ordering the 11/50 for my gravel 1x build 🙌🏻🤙🏻

Sometimes you just have to ride it for about 10 hours and it will wear enough away to be silent.

hi. i don't understand why you are so dogmatic . if you are satisfied with 3x5 what's your problem ?
