Awesome video I have done the Phi Phi day trips quite a few times and went to Maya Bay pre-closure when it was packed but I went there at 7.30am where there was barely anyone there and left around 9.00am before the mad rush. On my 3rd visit to Thailand in Feb 2018, I did stay at Ao Nang (did a day trip to Railey from there) for a few days, then 1 night in Koh Yao Noi, then 3 nights at Phi Phi Don Island (which I did the Phi Phi day trip including Bamboo Island), then one night in Koh Lanta, then 3 nights in Koh Lipe in the deep south. On my 4th visit to Thailand, I stayed in Ao Nang again and did the day trip to Phi Phi again but this time Maya Bay was closed. Glad to see it reopened it again
I wanna cry. I went to Phi Phi last week. The storm came in for 3 days. The last day which is the departure day the sun decided to shone so I stayed an extra day just to vidit Maya Bay only because IT IS MY DREAM since watching THE BEACH. But Maya Bay was closed due to big waves. My bad luck 😭😭😭
It’s a good reason for you to go back again 😁 I went there last Dec and Maya Bay was still closed so I’m going back there again for sure and will step on The Beach this time 😁😁😁
You have shown us the good side of having private boat tour. Schedule is so flexible and you can even have a picnic on a quiet beach👍 Next time Im there Im going to hire a private boat and beat the crowd to Maya Bay!!!
Another super, duper, wicked awesome video!!!! 2 favorite quotes from the video. "I'd rather not fight a monkey for my camera" and "I will literally give myself a stomach ache to impress a Thai person with my spice tolerance".
Great video! Love seeing you guys truly enjoy yourselves. Never forget that’s what makes your videos great. Have fun first, and the rest comes naturally. Can’t wait to see your videos from Eastern Europe! ❤️
Thank you so much! This was a great day, truly a lot of fun. We'll definitely keep that in mind. Already filmed two Eastern Europe videos and working to get them out soon!
Wow...just wow...(picks up jaw from the floor) those must be the most beautiful beaches I've ever seen and I've seen some nice beaches in my time with the fair bit of travelling I've done. Thanks for taking us along with you and sharing the serene scenery. Even the fish were wonderful!
I saw the Leonardo DiCaprio movie ("The Beach") which was about this place. It is every bit as stunning as the movie claimed. Would love to visit this place one day.
love to see everyone visitor smile on face, peaceful for vacation to get charge a power for everyone life, just flow away everything and lay down on a beace sand under a sun ray.
Loved your video!!! made me book a ticket to Phi phi!! I tried twice to go to Maya bay but was closed =( fingers crossed will still be open when I go! Already saved your tour guid information!! Thanks for all the info, your video is incredible!
Its a dream to visit Phiphi islands for so long, so glad to have watched this! I always think that travels are made easier when you have the best travel gears and essentials too. The bento bag from Nomad Lane is my best carry-on bag for dream vacation destination like this. Though I'd share it to you guys too!
I lgiggled at the eating spicy food to impress a Thai person. We are going here in about 3 weeks and love seeing this. Thanks for sharing. I can't wait!
welcome to thailand after corona virus 19 It's good to come back and visit here. Thailand is a safe destination. and come taste delicious And I'm a Thai person who has never been there. hope to have a chance to go there
Gorgeous! Absolutely love your content. Have been watching weekly! Curious if either of you happen to know of a similar private boat tour from Phuket that people have recommended? Either way, looks like another GLORIOUS day.
Thank you! Glad you’re enjoying our weekly travel videos! We don’t know of any direct from Phuket that come highly recommended. But, we definitely recommend a private longtail boat!
I'm now staying at Phi Phi Island 🏝. Yesterday I went to see the Maya beach ⛱. It was so beautiful but waves were so high in the mid noon and the boat man hurriedly came to the main island 🥲. And in September it was closing time to save the beach by government. But it was a beautiful experience for me 😇🥰.
I'm from the UK and I taught diving in Thailand for a year while my wife finished Uni (we were not married then) I spent every single day diving and swimming and it was the best days of my life. I would like to take my son there before he grows tired of going on holiday with his parents. On another note, I often did night dives or snorkels with the other instructors and we would free dive with the little black tips, they swim right at you, we would go down about 5 meters or so and just hang there and move the water quickly to product glitter (I forget what exactly cause the sea to do this, I think it might be plankton) sometimes the little sharks would nudge us but they don't attack at least not that I ever saw.
I've been to Maya Bay several times before they shut it down a few years ago. I'm really glad to see zero speed boats on the beach now! It used to be nearly half the beach was occupied by those damn speed boats. Looking forward to my trip in February!
WOW, what a beautiful place! I just HAVE to go there one day! Thanks for the tour! Very Cool! Thank you for sharing this spectacular video. Liked and SUBBED!
The southern of thai have many beautiful island and beach example Similan island at Phangnga Koh kradan island, Koh Laoliang island, Koh muk island at trang and Koh Lipe, koh tarutao at satun. And thank you for your visit Thailand 🙏🙏🙏
I've been to Phi Phi Islands incl. Maya Bay/Beach 3 times, in 2013, 14 and 15, before they did that temporary closing. When arriving to Maya Bay, we came directly to the bay - you didn't, you came to the other side of the island, and had to walk to Maya Beach. I know the area well, since we were walking around both sides of the island all 3 times we were there, and I have it on film. It's one of the most beautiful places I've been to, and I've been to around 50 countries. Btw, diving in Thailand was a disappointment (I'm a licensed scuba diver, and have dived 7 times in Thailand). Little fish to see, and almost no vegetation, though we always saw baby sharks. The most positive thing about it, was the temperature - always at least 25 degrees celcius in the water.
God i miss this place! Let me tell you Maya Bay looks as amazing in stormy weather as it is during sunny days. I came during monsoon season and had to swim abt 30 feet to rocky area where you guys disembarked. A little frightening but that view as a reward. So worth it.
@@KeepGoingPlaces did a tour and it was sunny most of the time until we got to ko phi phi leh, when the weather and the water started picking up. Best part about it was that since it was later in the day, most of the people have left and we were only abt a dozen folks on the Beach. The atmosphere was the closest i ever felt to being a castaway.
@@aravindms8939 its possible since i arrived there about sept-oct. however, it will be very rainy as october is monsoon season. When i was there about 10 years back, after flying in from Bangkok, i was stuck in Ao Nang for 3 days because it was raining and the boats were not operating because of rough waters. It was the worst time to come in hindsight but what can you do. I came to koh Phi phi when the weather calmed down and did the tour the next day. While most of the tour was clear, by the time we came to Koh Phi Phi Leh, the weather turned for the worst. We ended up stopping in the bay on the otherside of the island and swimming to shore. It was terrifying but worth the experience. I imagine that tours are still happening but subject to conditions ( weather, availability, fuel etc.) My suggestion would be to go to other parts of thailand first if october is your goal or to head to islands closer to bangkok. If you still plan to head to Krabi and around, be prepared for the weather.
I'm from Japan. very beautiful sea and sight! Thailand is very beautiful sea. Have a nice day!
Thank you.
Maya bay is a paradise on earth. This is really a beautiful place. Thanks for sharing.
