- Here's another garage VLOG with a little more detail. Checking the car over after CMP and then getting it prep'ed for the next round at Gingerman. Alignment setdown/setup, splitter mods, brake ducts, oil cooler install and more! Enjoy!
using your race car to push the parts car back in the trailer cracked me up xD
Haha had no other way to get it in there by myself lol
You're absolutely blue collar garage goals. Everything is so well thought out and efficiently done/setup. Always rooting for you...
I appreciate that man, thank you!
Wildly appreciative of the alignment process breakdown. Working to try and dial in my process and will most definitely be using this as reference.
Awesome man, glad to share my process
Vidim 🇨🇿 ceskou vlajku, rikal jsem si uz podle jmena… Fandim a posilam pozdravy!
Love watching your content! As usual. but dude, put a winch in your trailer 😂! I get that you don’t need need one but it was totally worth putting in ours. No more climbing out of the window, and pushing cars in when they don’t start. When going to the track with me and my dad it means we don’t both need to be there to load/unload the car safely. Plus it looks cool to just buzz the car out at the track. Harbor freight winch and a cheap 12v car battery. Doesn’t take much capacity to pull the car in. Just got the cheapest one with a synthetic rope to save the floor. Through bolted through the frame with some plates for extra strength (overkill).
At these angles, I never noticed your car's fitment is very early BTCC looking. Awesome upload as always
Love your videos and how you’re down to earth!
Thanks! I appreciate that buddy
Love the racing in GLTC! You are killin' it young man! Seeing your evolutions and hi's and low's has been invigorating!
Thanks buddy!
Hell yeah car it's great good inf, good job , well done 👏✔️👍👌 like that teggy on the background
Thanks! Yeah teggy needs some work eventually ha
@EricKutilRacing awsome can wait to see it
Quality work! I also call them "p" clamps.
Is there another word for them lol?
Great stuff man. Very cool seeing your process, its helpful. I like the simple brake duct setup. I just spent weeks making one for my car that is seriously over complicated lol, but i hope it works!
nice vlog !
Love this video! I like that you are working through problems and explaining your thought process. So great!
Thank you so much! Just happy to share what I do!
Another one! Let's go Kutil!!!
Sorry I can't pump them out sooner lol
It is awesome to see you hands on working the race car for each event. Love the content videos ! 🤙🏼
Thanks!
Loved the vlog
Glad you enjoyed it!
Looking forward to the races .love the prep videos it shows how much is needed to keep the car at a high level of competition.💪🤙
Gingerman event is up next for the Vlog! Working on the edits already
Love following along! Cool to see your setup regimen. You're clearly very detail oriented and that's awesome.
Thanks so much!
I love seeing you race in GLTC so much, pal!
As always, I enjoyed these vlogs so much. Keep up the awesome work!^^
Thank you for the support!
@@EricKutilRacing You're welcome, buddy! (*^o^)/\(^-^*)
Ask Grant from honed for some air guides for the brake ducts
I have a set but they don't fit around my splitter
@@EricKutilRacing are you allowed to run those air ramps under the splitter that suck air up into the brakes
Those are not allowed, flat bottom blades only
Could be tire wear or change that can contribute to difference in camber/ride height. Obviously it'll take some pretty solid wear to do that, but acheivable in a race car.
Yeah, maybe. 4mm isnt a huge deal but my readings are usually very consistent, within +/- 1mm before and after an event, which is why I was confused. I think the tenders and extra weight (fuel and +50 lbs of bricks) was the culprit.
@@EricKutilRacing Very well could be. in the 80's and early nineties with treaded tire races, 3MM could be lost in right height depending on the race durations and specs. Guys would set ride height higher to begin the rack knowing they were gonna blow off that much rubber. And depending on how much corner load they have, they can be tricky as to how much weight and leverage they apply to the wheel bearing (small mechanical camber changes over time) But for real, you seem to have a great program going for yourself, so don't let me stop ya, you got the hands on the machine YOU built 👍
I use Graphene Ceramic Coating on my wheels now. I suggest you try on a set sometime. Makes cleanup insanely easy.
I used adams polish ceramic coating lol. I think I just used shitty rattle can lol
@@EricKutilRacing Yeah, I got the little suede covered blocks and non spray version. Stuff coats thick. I do 2 coats minimum. If I just use water to clean wheels, add a coat once a yr. If you are using detergents, you have to recoat just like wax, just triple the standard (2 soap wash = 1 wax, so 6x soap wash = 1x ceramic coat)
Did a similar brake ducting setup on my Teg, worked great.
Definitely the most simple setup
@@EricKutilRacing yeh I had some alloy air pipe mounting to the bottom of the inner guard pointing at the wheel, heat painted the rotors and with sprint pads it was still staying in temp over 1hr endurance so I call it good enough.
+1 on the video for 0:53.
Hey Eric! Looking forward to more EKR Garage vlogs. Love this one.
Could we get some more info on those leveling pads you mentioned you found on eBay? I can't seem to find any.
Unfortunately I bought those leveling pads years ago! Idk who made them but I bet you can find something similar
@@EricKutilRacing No problem. I'll keep looking. Congrats on the JTCC lap record!!! Keep it up brotha!
@@BuiltHalalRacing it's more a personal best haha but thanks!
jokes aside i find the magic erasers a odd middle ground between microfibers and scotch pads lmfao. Sometimes they work to just get the persistent brake dust off while being a little more forgiving to the paint
Magic erasers is basically a super fine sandpaper lol. I'd be careful with that ha
@@EricKutilRacing yeah they always felt kind of like a synthetic clay but more aggro lol. Only use on the wheels i dont care about
J-speed 3’s on that Integra!
great video
Thanks!
Detailing tips from Eric Kutil wasn’t on my bingo card for this life, but I guess the ITR’s wheels are going to get some scotchbrite tomorrow. Street driving DTC-60’s has trashed the champ white.
Lmao please don't hahaha
Clean your wheels with Nifti cuts that brake dust NO scratching, spray on let it sit 30 seconds wipe off, Hard working Nifti NIFTI not sponsored just another racer it really works promise
Put an anchor point in the trailer so you can use a come along to winch vehicles into the trailer.
Yeah I know, I should have a pull a long or ideally an electric winch
Too low? You don't say! 😂
😎
Awesome video. Mind sharing the brand of your oil cooler unit?
Koyorad, their wide universal unit
i take the old oil cooler
Heey amazing job! I have a question :( if you add an oil cooler is it neccesary to add more oil than normal? I mean is a longer route
Absolutely, yeah. The oil cooler I run takes about an extra quart to fill.
Hey eric what camera do you use btw ? videos are looking great !
Go pro hero 10 black with a media mod and good LED light
Do you recall what the levelling pads were called on ebay? Ive been trying to find a similar set with no luck. Thanks.
I dont sorry. I bought these like 5 years from a random guy who was making and selling them. I'm sure if you searched scale leveling platforms, you'd find something
Eric were you running rear positive toe to aid with turn in?
Positive toe in for rear stability
where can i get that wing?
Racebred Components makes the wing element, I made the uprights myself
wheels model?
