Sorry for the late reply. My bad its 35-45mph. But the torques is so much different and until now i can’t believe. Promise to god. Its like ni slow time, its just always on the go.
I love torque, so I'm all for upgrades like this! Eager to see the new 0-20 mph times. Word of caution about the wheelies though: Hitting the throttle to get across the intersection, and having the front end come up unintentionally, can be a bit of a problem. I actually have my torque ramp-up speed reduced just to reduce this problem.
@@SESSIONS73 Sorry for the delay, I didn't get the reply notification for this! My current setup is a Phaserunner controller, dual Tesla 52v batteries, and a swapped motor set to 2600 watts peak. The problem I had in the past was the bike almost flipping me on my back a few times. The "torque ramp" in the Phaserunner configuration makes the power come on smoothly instead of hitting it all at once. It makes the throttle control is very smooth and precise, which helps a lot on mountain bike trails.
I predict this update just starts ruining motors and shearing the nylon gears they use. I recommend getting an Ariel Rider, uses metal gears and doesn’t need an update to go faster.
I saw a firmware update in the middle of the night and loaded it into my RX. I just tested it and I don't think this one has the 20% more torque. Certainly wasn't close to popping a wheelie. Could be an older firmware update? Is there a list of how many firmware updates have been released for r-series?
@@SESSIONS73 my friend who has an Onyx and I rode up the Marin headlands yesterday to the top of the hill by the golden gate. I did a lot of pedaling and almost didn’t make it up the last big hill which is very steep and not short. I think if the torque increase was installed I would have had an easier time with the steep hills. Overall my RX did great though. Went 26 miles with another solid 5 miles left to go.
I’m pretty much ready to sell my RX. It’s terrible on steep hills, and they can’t be avoided where I live. With no gears, peddling isn’t much of an option. Maybe I’ll wait a couple of weeks to see how the firmware update is working out for those who get it. I don’t need launch power, I need sustained power going up long steep hills. That’s why I bought an ebike and not a moped.
Bummer, I live in a pretty hilly area too and can’t wait for the update. Still haven’t heard anything even though people are posting about getting it. I feel like we’d get an email when it is released.
Is this update out yet? I just got the 73rx. I remember getting an update in the app. I haven't noticed an increase in torque but wasn't looking for this because I was unaware of an update that increases torque. Shortly after the update my motor started making a terrible noise. It sounded like there were tiny rocks inside the motor or like something came loose inside the motor. I showed customer support a video of it making the noise and they replaced the motor with a new motor which arrives in a couple days...so has this update been released? If so Do you think it was responsible for my motor going bad?
Not sure exactly. Doesn't really do us any good to measure 20% if we don't know what our torque is to begin with, eh? I will be sure to update you when I find out.
@@SESSIONS73 so I turned the app on today after like 7 months there was an update that popped up.. not sure exactly what its for? Ill test it out later
If they had the tune it back it's not because the bikes was pulling wheelies, it's because they were frying the motors even quicker than they already fry, disgusting to watch them take advantage of people.
Small business ? They have raised 20 millions from a Venture. They want to keep the spirit of a small business to have more connection with their customers. I hope they will grow and keep that spirit

I highly doubt it's more about gearing. Since the x-class 52 came out, people are finally realizing what pieces of junk those things are. Cracked frames blown Motors, controller issues right out of the box, there's nothing super about them, it's the sucker 73. Who wants to be a sucker, don't buy one of those pieces of junk. And the worst thing about it they were accepting over $3,000 from there customers, and knowingly sent them broken bikes in the mail, just so they could go round and round for a couple months trying to get them fixed.
Sounds awesome! Just got my S2, so hearing this makes me giddy. Thanks for the update. Love how clean and succinct your channel/news is. Keep it up!
Hey, thanks! I appreciate that a lot.

Damn! I just updated mine! I got 73R. The torques is definitely awesome! 40-50 is so easy. Thank you for this!

40 mph?

Agree whole-heartedly.
Absolutely, just needs that little push for hills from a dead stop
From SUPER SLOW TO SUPER BROKEN VERY SOON!!!! Do you think this will be safe? The Qa of this product is not too good.
I think so, especially with the newer motors. 20% doesn’t seem to wild to me
Let's hope 🙏 doesn't break many bikes again like the lady update..
I just got my S2. 10-09-21. The first update loaded well. The second did not no matter what I tried. Logged on, off, etc.... Any pointers?
Try resetting the app or re-pairing... I am not sure on this one.
Wonder if it will work for all motors (v1, v2, v3)? Hopefully it doesn’t reduce the top speed...
I would say so. They make it sound like any bike with the smart features. We’ll see though.

They only released it for a day then pulled it. Not sure if that’s what caused your issue, but I don’t think the new bikes have it…
Im thinking about getting an S2 should I wait or would this update just be all through software ?
All through the software. No need to wait.
whats the firmware version after the update? 208? I have an RX
208 is my controller version.
I admit it, I went to my bike to see if there was an update waiting for me after watching your video. I know I'm not the only one lol.

also how much continious watt does the motor make?
On the unlimited setting, it's 1200 watts.
is this update out yet? does it apply also on the RX-G?
Still not out 😵💫

Not from me, but Super73 said they’ve released the app to some android beta testers. I know it’s not much, but it’s something.

The S2 can be a bit more rigid, but let a little air out of the back and it’s a smoother ride.
I hope this update will come to the ZX EU Model
I hope so too. I don't know all the EU laws though. Just know that they're different.
20% more torque to break your motor 80% faster my math is undeniable don't use it or you'll lose it.
Well at least you have 2 years to break it and get it replaced...

The bike can’t handle more torque I have one and it already feels like the gears are burning up.
