But it still lacked actual on-screen deaths of Transformers in comparison to the movie. Only the one Sweep taken out by Wheely through a lucky shot was actually shown.

You see so few Autobots here at what was their base for seasons 1 and 2. Now it's just Bumblebee, the year 2 minicars, and 4 of the year 3 minicars left to defend it. Just reminds the viewer of what happened on theater screens roughly a month earlier. All those Autobots... gone.

The minibots don’t really have a leader, it’s mostly just whoever sounds the most like a leader at the time, as for the debate regarding Rodimus’s alt-mode, he’s a camper as Rodimus, and a sports car as Hot-rod
They're not a 'team' in-fiction in the same way that Dinobots are, just a category of toy, that was never made explicit in the cartoon, except by drawing them markedly smaller, and sometimes having them hang together.
I mean, a lot of these guys were veterans who fought with Optimus for literal eons. They're probably more beat up about him dying than we were, and that's saying something
Wheelie is the only minibot that got the lion's share of attention in season 3 (even more so in the Headmasters series...if you want to count that.) It's sad that all the other minibot appearances throughout the entirety of season 3 can be compiled in a 7 minute 51 second vid.

Season 3 Minibots may not have had much screen time but they had cool designs.
They were sadly under-used, with Swerve and Tailgate having no dialogue at all. But, yes, those designs were an improvement on their 1984 mould-mates.

The way the new characters were drawn is really low quality but the dialogues are top-notch hilarious!
AKOM really did a hatchet-job to this series throughout season 3 and 4.
