- Because I refused to put out an almost 3.5 hour video last weekend, here is how the rest of the week went! Did some repotting, air layering, show and tell of some things I have propagating right now, unboxing of some planty mail and did a 2.5 week import update! Thank you guys for making this monthly series such a success, I appreciate you all so much!!

Your imports look great Charmaine 🤩 I also had COVID a couple months ago and I was unlucky and developed long COVID and one of my symptoms is having a hard time breathing, especially at night. I’ve also been waking up in the middle of the night gasping for air. Maybe this is what you’re experiencing 😅🤗 I hope your trip is a nice little getaway, sending you lots of love 🤍✨

I thought it was a Baltic, can't believe I was right! They are high up on my wishlist but don't support Costa, so having to wait for people to start propping and selling at good prices.

Costa donated to an anti-LGBTQIA+ and anti-choice choice politician, Ron Desantis (the guy of the "don't say gay bill"). A different PlantTuber (PlantMeAshley) made a video about it, Costa reached out and pretty much just tried to make Ashley feel better about buying from them in hopes she'd pass that on, and Costa acted like they were more than happy to have a conversation with her and an LGBTQIA+ PlantTuber (David Morales). Costa then refused to have any evidence of the conversation, despite having the questions from us (AFAB folks and members of the LGBTQIA+ community, sent to Ashley), two weeks prior. Which is a huge risk for Ashley and another red flag.
So now there's just no conversation going to happen since Costa isn't sticking to their word. At this point, Costa has just made it pretty clear that they don't give a shit about the LGBTQIA+ community nor those with uteruses, they just keep overlooking the communities and choosing to hurt us. Even though the two groups are the vast majority of people that buy from them.
TLDR: Costa is anti-LGBTQIA+ and anti-choice. Donated to Ron Desantis, tried to save face by sucking up to a UA-camr, offered to clear the air then refused to do so.

I believe why you shouldn’t rinse is for nutrient uptake. Pon and pumice block nutrient uptake unless you have clay or vermiculite to help with it. Swedish plant guys did a video on this

Hi Charmaine! A reason for the stems dry out on your Hoya is due to inconsistent watering. I know you said it happens with your Hoya in passive Hydro also but I’m wondering if you let them dry out and then fill the reservoir?
You’re going to love the tree fern bark for propagating and for use with the lazy pole.
I received a Calkins Gold cutting in a swap for my P. giganteum. After only 7 days in tree fern on a heating mat I got thick long roots.

its actually easier for them in the states..they can import with a phyto for up to a certain amount while we need all the paper work as e dont all have receivers
Wow you have a nice balcony area would like to see more of it in your videos. A lovely water view aswell seems relaxing instead of having buildings and houses like what my apartment view is. Nothing exciting. Would you grow anything outside? I prefer a balcony that is not all glass mine is half wall and glass so can have some privacy. The glass part i would put tall plants there. Philodendron white princess do you know why the tip of the new leaf is black. Is this normal will it happen everytime?

I wonder if you're going through your post-covid period. It happened to me and my coworkers who all had covid around the same time. It's just a period where your lung capacity is recovering. If that's what it is, it gets better! Soon you'll feel like nothing ever happened. Of course, it's always a good idea to take a rapid test to make sure you don't have it again. Hope you feel better soon either way.
