Nice video. I've had a few singlespeeds as winter bikes, including a Langster. Great to ride, just so simple and smooth and one of the nicer things about winter riding!
Thanks for the discount code - that put me over the top to order some vinyl stickers. I've been using electrical tape to mask off the bolt holes like you show, but the vinyl is next level. Thanks, as always, for sharing a job well done. 👊
These videos really are great to watch and I totally get what you are saying about the effort that you put into them. Keep up the great work with👍 the editing along with the narration
Missed you guys last week. So glad for a video this Wednesday and one of the bikes I wish I could have bought when they were in the catalog. I found one on Facebook market place but of course it was too big for me. I don't know if you remember seeing some pictures of my bikes when I think you were asking for viewer's bike photo. I turned a Slingshot road bike into a fix gear/single speed where I can flip the wheel in the dropouts. I built the rear wheel with a White Industrie ENO eccentric rear hub that can turn any bike into a fixed/single speed bike. I have two of those hubs and love them. Is fix gear a thing any more or did it kind of die off. Good to see you guys have a video this week. I missed you.
I own a Genesis Flyer single speed which I love, I had to lower the gearing though as it's pretty hilly where I live. There's a few single speed bike channels here on youtube, my favourite is Zach Gallardo.
Simon was ill last week so we had it off. We would definitely say the fixie hype came and went. We saw a lot of them 3-4-5 years ago and these days not so much. The people like yourself who like them still ride them but they’re not the hype like they used to be. We both rode fixed for many years but are back to gears in the end 🧡
Thanks Nick. Spring has sprung so we have some exciting videos on the way including a Vintage Triumph a few weeks from now so that might be up your street!🧡⚙️
Hi Roy that’s awesome! Glad you like them and thanks very much for buying them it really helps us with motivation to get a little something back from the channel🧡
We do ship to Germany. We use the Royal Mail, and have found German customs to be very harsh so they take time to get to you but we ship to Germany never the less!🧡⚙️
I always had been instructed to leave spindle tapers and the cranks spindle holes clean and free of grease, so why do that for this bottom bracket? The cranks will slide too far and after re tightening several times, crack the cranks at the tapers.
I see this newer Langster with sloping top tube for a higher stack height with long head tubes, so is that a late production? What geometry is that called?
Also four spokes broke on my 700c front rim. I have two 622rims that are silver and I have wider tires, but the back has this plastic chain guard on it, can I use the BBT-22 PARK TOOL to remove the plastic part off the rim?
When I do that to a bike I call it a wash not a 'full rebuild'! lol it's never a good idea to lube bb bearing tapered spindles and particularly on a single speed, by the way.
You mentioned that the only way you can get money for UA-cam was by selling the greases you have. Have you monetized your channel? You have enough subscribers to do so and I hope you do!
Our channel is monetised but we are a very small channel and the money is next to nothing. For Simon he’s taken a gamble over many years growing it as a full time job so for us it’s the only way to get “real” amounts of money back 🧡
That chain is beautiful
We’d never seen one before and loved how it cleaned up!🧡⚙️
Never seen one of those chains before, it looks awesome!
Neither had we! Cleaned up great 🧡
Unique chain, I’ve never seen one like that before !
Neither had we! It cleaned up great🧡
Never been tempted by single speed. I'm up and down gears constantly
They’re a good second or third bike but definitely not for regular riding unless you’re in a flat area 🧡
Again love the attention to detail😎
Thanks!🍻🧡⚙️
Nice video. I've had a few singlespeeds as winter bikes, including a Langster. Great to ride, just so simple and smooth and one of the nicer things about winter riding!
Awesome! This one was for you then. I we love them also🧡
Excelent job and sweet single speed bike always wanted one.
Thanks very much! They’re a very fun bike to have in the collection🧡
Cracking job, love the simplicity of single speed.
As do we. It’s a nice change of pace when we see one in the shop🧡
as always great job looks beautiful again
Thanks Lesley glad you enjoyed it again🧡⚙️
Very elegant bike.
Less is more!
Great video!!
Stunning work!!
Thanks again Tom! We appreciate it🧡
Love it, brand new now, thanks
Thanks David!🧡🍻⚙️

Thanks we were very happy to see your order come through! We love using them wherever we can lol🧡
Cracking job and love that single speed setup. Never seen a chain like that either 🎉👏
The chain was awesome, we did write the name of it down but lost the bit of paper lol🧡
@@Bikespeeds It's the CN-NX01
@@kultaotsano it isn't
You have to love the look of a single speed bike , I owned one for a while and they are lovely to ride 😊
Me and Simon rode fixies for many years ourselves, it’s a great experience🧡⚙️
Another job done beautifully!
Thanks very much for watching Barry we appreciate the support🧡⚙️
Classic Specialized. Amazing service! ❤
Thanks very much as always!🧡⚙️
Great work👍
Thanks very much Joel🧡⚙️
Love the work you do
Thanks very much Jason we appreciate all the support 🧡⚙️
Very nice video as usual. Congrats.
Thanks very much for all the support🧡
What an among job! Can you put wider gravel tyres on a Langster?, like a 32cm tyre?
The wonderful simplicity of single speed bike...😊
Who needs gears? Not me!😁
Greetings from Kris from Croatia 😎
Thanks very much for watching Kris!🧡🇭🇷
@@Bikespeeds you are welcome 😎
Beautiful work Lee. There is really something special about a single speed bike. Best wishes to you and Simon.
They’re great fun! Very pure experience. We both appreciate you showing up week in week out🧡
These videos really are great to watch and I totally get what you are saying about the effort that you put into them. Keep up the great work with👍 the editing along with the narration
Thanks very much for watching. All the support never goes unnoticed or unappreciated 🧡⚙️

Thats a service and a half 🙌😎🇫🇮
Or half a service! It was nice and straight forward with no cassette or derailleur🧡⚙️
Such an awesome frame for a single speed bike, I'm jealous.
This one was very much a track bike turned daily, very cool!🧡⚙️
Great job, and great looking chain, I hope the shop is going well.
Thanks Nick. Spring has sprung so we have some exciting videos on the way including a Vintage Triumph a few weeks from now so that might be up your street!🧡⚙️
@@Bikespeeds I look forward to that. I'm the proud new owner of a lovely red Triumph Traffic Master (A Raleigh Twenty in disguise).
Quality as always guys 👍
Thanks again and again, glad you’re still enjoying them🧡
Love ur guys videos
Best therapy
Thanks very much we both appreciate the support!🧡⚙️
Another great video and super service for the customer. Well done guys.
Thanks very much Paul. Glad you enjoyed it🧡
I have the exact same bike. Looks stunning when clean
Lee great job as always. Received my lube syringes, OMG how much easier and more effective are they to use. Thank you

Beautiful!
Thanks very much!🧡⚙️
first: lovely video as always

So no heat whatsoever with the ultrasonic cleaner when cleaning anodized parts? With a 6L, what’s your ratio with the degreaser/water mix? Thanks guys
We have 100% degreaser but it’s a water soluable degreaser so it does not mix with water 🧡
Awesome & Thanks :)
looking in mint condition
The polish did this one wonders!🧡⚙️
Loving that chain, is that a single speed thing ?
We’d never seen one before! But it was very heavy duty 🧡
Great video, I’ve go a Langston frame circa 2007, can you please tell me what replacement headset I need. Thanks Nic
I like the cranks, what make are they?
Nice one.
I'm wondering, do you know all the torque values by memory, or do you have a chart that you check for each bolt?
We know them by memory now but googling in the early days 🧡
👍
I’ve never seen a chain like that chain before.

I have never seen a Shimano single speed chain like that one. Do you know
what model it is of if it's still made by Shimano?
Looks like Shimano CN-NX01
We wrote the name down but lost the piece of paper😂🧡
