I think grounded Mr. Freeze is a lot easier than people think, it’s not going to be 100% comics accurate but it doesn’t have to be to hit the same notes with a few differences. 1.) The cold-gun can be explained with chemicals, such as Liquid Nitrogen or similar substances, It would be scientifically sound enough to fit in this universe and would give and instant frostbite effect rather than full blocks of ice, which i think is fine compromise. Freeze is cryogenic scientist so naturally he’d gravitate towards what he knows rather than more traditional weaponry, so it has a justification why he’s not just using a gun to get revenge. 2.) The cold-suit’s purpose is flipped on it head, Rather than have him need the suit because he can’t survive outside of sub-zero temperatures, it’s to protect him from the harsh chemicals and cold his weapon of choice uses. It can be a hazmat or a cosmonaut type of suit designed to protect from harsh cold. He can even have his suit and equipment malfunction in the final confrontation causing him to freeze solid in the suit for a fake out death, only for Batman to find out that he is still alive inside the suit, and dedicated some of his resources to find a way to safely thaw him out and find cure for his wife. Also a nod to the comic book/BTAS origin and potential tease that he is now the comic accurate Mr. Freeze at the end wether they explore that or not, it can just be a nod to fans of the character. 3.) Cryogenics is something that has been studied in the real world and although there hasn’t really been a successful application for preserving human life, I don’t think it’s outside the realm of possibility for this universe, especially with the technology that is shown in the first movie with the contact lens cameras. So you can still have him freeze his wife Nora solid to attempt to find a cure. Overall I think with these relatively small compromises to both the Fantastical and Grounded elements we could get A very compelling adaptation of Mr. Freeze and have it be relatively believably in Matt Reeves universe.
@@Shockkings0714 What’s watered down trash, because he’s not walking popsicle? There is nothing watered down about what I’m proposing, the only real change is in presentation. Either way both versions of Mr. Freeze would like to avoid damaging their suits as they protect them in some way, Comic Freeze from the heat and This Freeze from his own cold, two sides of the same coin. Sure you can argue it’s probably a source of pain and torture for Freeze, but it pales in comparison to his main driving factor of Nora. I even expressed in my post that i think a fake out death would be a cool idea, and have the movie end with him becoming the comic accurate version, even if that’s not explored on screen, it could be a fun nod. At the end of the Day we are talking about Matt Reeves’s Batman not James Gunn’s, just because Matt uses a character doesn’t mean James can’t, so let people enjoy speculating.
I don't know. I have no attachment to Hush personally, but I think the this essay points out a clear link. It was hinted that Riddler would have a come-back, and that could start with the possibility that he might reach out to Tommy Elliot with the Batman's true identity. I think if this Hush just has had plastic surgery, that's different enough from The Batman's version of the Riddler. You don't need the bandages, just a villain that keeps his face hidden, until it's revealed he looks exactly like Bruce Wayne. The only real problem with the theory is that it's kind of sensationalist, especially the plastic surgery part, and The Batman didn't deal in wild, sensationalist stories. Its world isn't just limited to the possible, but the plausible. And once you start on plastic surgery look-alike characters, you lose plausibility. It's the kind of plotline that works better in The Black List than the Reeves-Verse, where the only truly implausible thing is Batman himself.
I would LOVE to see Scarecrow, I’m not a huge fan of Nolan’s Scarecrow so I would be really excited to see a different (maybe more Arkham games inspired) Scarecrow on the big screen. Hush would be cool too as a character new to the big screen but I agree he’s too similar to Reeves’ Riddler. Great videos so far man I can’t wait to see more!
Me to, he’s my top choice. Other choices are also great but it would almost feel like a waste not to have a scarecrow movie with the dark grounded vibes of this universe
@@krashdummiez007nah it’s gonna be the bliss, when Vic was the back pack man in the club and got bumped he got a slight hit and was hallucinating but his hallucinations were PTSD from the explosions that lead to his family dying
Besides the ones you mention (specially Scarecrow and Mr Freeze) one villain I would love to see in The Batman sequel is The Mad Hatter. I could see Reeves reinventing as sort of this "Jack the Ripper" type of criminal, this creepy weirdo who attacks girls at night, kidnap them and use a special drug to force them to be his slaves. Whenever one of them tries to resist his control, he freaks out and kills her. They could even give him a tragic backstory, with Jarvis Tech having lost his girlfriend (or wife) Alice during Gotham's flood in the previous film and the reason why he's kidnapping those girls is bc he's trying find someone to replace into his Alice (and I mean litterally, with Jarvis trying to force the girl to act like his Alice). This would create a parallell between the Hatter and Batman, since they would be both dealing with loss. The difference is that Batman accepts the people in his life (like Alfred) as his new family, while Jarvis is desperate trying to revive his past instead of accept his loss and try to find new relationships.
Blue hazmat suit. Red color lens on the gas mask. Two tanks in a backpack. One is water, one is liquid nitrogen. 2 hose's with 2 triggers for each tank taped together to make the gun. He is funded by the court of owls to make cryo for the elite. Everytime he is near, batmans breath becomes visible.
If they use Freeze, he'll definitely be just a guy in a hazmat suit. I love the image you've got here, with the rubbery blue suit and red lenses. And in keeping with the vibe of The Batman, his rig will require no explanation. It'll be self-explanatory. I love the DIY image you laid down here. That's exactly the vibe. But I think mostly, we'll just see his victims, people found frozen in bathtubs or a refrigerator. And in the post-flood winter, it would take a while to work out this wasn't just another victim of the catastrophe.
@@rottensquid he definitively is just a guy in a suit. I like the serial killer in alaska vibe but hes not really a butcher, it needs to serve a purpose
@@okwiseguy I totally agree. I think a revenge mission would fit. In the original episode of Batman:TAS that defined the modern Mr. Freeze (credit to Paul Dini's script and Mike Mignola's brilliantly retro costume design), Freeze was avenging his wife's death. It was only later that Nora was revealed to still be alive. You could even skip Nora's illness completely, and just have him seeking revenge for the politicians who neglected to get the power back on in her neighborhood, causing her to freeze to death. "She froze. And now, so will you." That might feed into the current Gotham situation nicely. But for the movie, they have to choose a villain that hits every note, picking up where both the last movie and the show left off. It can't be just another episode. It has to be a continuation, an escalation, as well as a next chapter. So while I'd love to see Freeze, I have a feeling it'll be more the Court of Owls. That would keep in theme with the power behind the scenes, who really runs Gotham, and why the city is the way it is. Then again, the Court isn't a character, it's more of an idea. A Batman movie villain needs to be a character you can get to know. And in this series especially, it needs to be a character who directly reflects Batman/Bruce. Luckily the Rogues' Gallery offers an embarrassment of riches in that department. Even Freeze reflect's Batman's revenge mission. But that ground has been covered. I'd say it's more likely to be Two-Face, because he fits right into the whole political atmosphere, plus his duality mirrors Batman's. On the other hand, I get the feeling they're trying to avoid characters that have appeared in film so recently. After the failure of Joker 2, I also don't see the Joker's role expanding. He'll likely make an appearance in this next film, but a very small one. And I don't see him being the lead villain in any sequel. The Reeves-Verse is already straining to differentiate itself from the Nolan-verse, as a DIFFERENT grounded, realistic take. So it seems likely they won't want to repeat any villains Nolan used. I actually suspect the only reason the Joker was in the first film at all is because the studio demanded it.
I dont know if anyone else mentioned it, but something that also alludes to Clayface being in the universe in some capacity is in Penguin, specifically the character Eve. Her second name is Karlo, and her thing in the show of taken on whatever role her clients wants kinda fits the bill. Either this would be a female Clayface, or possibly a hint at her being his sister
I think it's going to be 'The Eraser', who first appeared in 1966 in Batman comic no. 188, he wore a giant pencil eraser on his head, a yellow suit & black pointed shoes, which could spray tear gas ! 🙉
On the penguin series, Oz's "girlfriend" is named Eve Karlo. Apart from her last name, the final scene of the show also suggests that she is that og version of clayface since she is disguised as Oz's mother. Plus in the scene with Sofia and her, I think it is mentioned that she pretends to be someone else or gets disguised depending on the clients. I cant recall what was said exactly, I watched the series only once
I could see them combining Two-Face and Hush. Like after Harvey is scarred he uses the hush costume as a disguise. Edit: I think I should clarify on what I meant. I wasn’t saying that this is what they should do I was just saying that this is what I could imagine them doing if they decide to adapt hush. Especially since Harvey is basically confirmed to appear eventually. Also I could see them adapting Hush like the Arkham Games where he cuts off parts of people’s faces and makes a mask that resembles Bruce Wayne (this could tie into the theory of Bruce learning to use his wealth to better the city in ways other than being Batman.)
I think a way you can ground Mr Freeze’s cold gun would be like the CIAs heart attack gun that shot frozen shellfish poison and left pretty much no trace, though it’s a huge departure from freezing people solid.
Great video bro. Keep doing your thing dude. You have a lot of potential and slowly becoming one of my favorite UA-camr to watch. It’s just so awesome to see someone love DC and Batman and glaze them lol. Keep doing your thing you are set for greatness. Go ahead and achieve it!
New to the channel, but loved the video, I feel like you said the same stuff I’ve been telling my homies when we talk Batman. Took the words out of my mouth!
As great as Clayface would be, Clayface was actually in the Penguin, it was just hard to notice. Eve, the woman we kept seeing with Oz, is Clayface. Her last name and final scene is what really gave it away. Eve Karlo. Like Basil Karlo. And in the final scene, she was dressed up as Oz's mom, pretending to be someone else. And also when we see Eve's room when Sofia is there, we see the wigs and everything else so that Eve can change how she looks. Character wise, Eve is closer to one of the other Clayfaces: Sondra Fuller. Sondra made a gang of all of the Clayfaces so they'd stick together, like how Eve took in all of her girls and did anything to keep them safe. So we already have Clayface in this universe. While they could set up Basil Karlo as Clayface too, because they already have Eve with the same last name, they'd have to connect them in some way. And Eve I don't see being a villain for a movie or even a side villain.
I think you're right. In The Dark Knight, there were a couple of characters that were kind of homages like this to villains they weren't planning to use. One was Mr. Reese, the auditor who worked out Batman's identity. Mr. Reese, as in "mysteries," just like E. Nigma... yeah, you know that already. The other one, I thought, was the big dude with the elaborate branding scars on his neck, played by Tiny Lister Jr. I felt like he was the film's nod to Killer Croc. Though the only thing that suggested this was his size, the brandings, and his southern accent. And it turns out, it's actually southern California accent. So maybe that was just my imagination. Regardless, I think Eve Karlo is definitely an homage to Basil, which I love, because it frames her ability to be whoever her clients want her to be as a kind of superpower. I also think Julian Rush is similarly an homage to the Scarecrow. But this also means we're unlikely to get either Clayface or Scarecrow in the film sequel.
8:03 Oh man, I really hope they don't adapt the New 52 origin for Mr. Freeze where Nora wasn't his wife but just a woman who had been frozen for decades and he had never met. It also made no sense for Bruce Wayne to be the CEO to be involved in the accident that made Mr. Freeze. The DCAU origin for Mr Freeze still remains the best.
1. Mr Freeze - Interesting character too adapt and could be a good challenge for Battison. Given the flood caused so much issues throughout the city, that event could have turned Freeze to his villainous arc. Could challenge Battisons new found philosophy with Freeze's motivation. Plus, it would be set in the winter, would be an missed opportunity if they bypass on him. 2. Clayface - More out of left field than the rest of them because there would be no setup with his character and the story being told through Part One and The Penguin. But, it would be interesting to see how Reeves would handle him. 3. Hugo Strange / Scarecrow - Character that have not been done + Someone that were underutilize by Nolan. Would be an interesting pair given the setup. We have been to Arkham multiple times + a couple of characters are at Arkham (Joker, Riddler, and Sofia) + The new drugs introduced in The Penguin. 4. The Penguin - Colin already mentioned he has less than 10 scenes throughout Part 2. Would want a physical threat to face off against Battison. I like him more as a side character for Part 2. 5. Hush - Too much similarities to The Riddler, would be too repetitive.
Instead of him being the main villain of a movie, I think Hugo Strange could be a really good villain for an "Arkham Asylum" TV show. Throughout the show, experiments are being done on the criminally insane in many horrific ways. Other staff members of Arkham Asylum could slowly come to this conclusion and try to figure out who is behind them. You could use psychiatrist Johnathan Crane as the obvious red herring for the show, with him being the more popular villain. But surprise! Turns out that he was working for Hugo, the guy running Arkham.
I love this version of penguin, he feels like the best version of the character yet, combining elements from multiple different eras and media, His insecurity and anger issues as well as his cunning manipulative nature are on full display
I think Mr Freeze and Clayface are too unrealistic for this type of world. The DCU will have a mud monster Clayface that a Golden Age Clayface would look boring compared to. I think Part 2's villain will most likely be The Court Of Owls just based on the teases Matt Reeves has given recently. Even if I do agree that they kinda seem like a 3rd movie villain. Great vid!
I think clayface and freeze could definitely be pulled off. Freeze just needs a more normal, less sci-fi looking suit, but the motivations are extremely human. Clayface is similar, maybe he can only change his face, not his whole body or something like that. But he would be great for a murder mystery kind of like what they did for caped crusader.
I think the penguin show does something really good which is just making you understand the villain and now root for the villain. Understand that he’s a person but he’s a monster still
On Mr Freeze he would be DOPE and there’s a comic where there’s a serial killer killing women and taking there organs as trophies but it’s actually Mr freeze getting organs for his wife
You could ground Mr. Freeze by giving him more of a cryo gun/liquid nitrogen weapon that isn't as dramatic but could still freeze body parts that break off as opposed to completely frozen in giant ice chunks. Maybe remove the suit keeping him alive and more of a suit that holds the cryo gun ammo
Like you, Hush just doesn't excite me honestly. The main thing to love about that story is Jim Lee's art. The original twist by Jeph Loeb was extremely predictable since the character was invented for that story and I didn't think he was really compelling. He was only really interesting when Paul Dini wrote his and even then he doesn't compare to other notable villains. I know there has been Easter eggs about them but I hope it just stays that way.
So stupid, an character is no good or bad by an twist, that is an problem of the story, you don't understand nothing about hush, hush is more bigger, interesting and complex menace that joker, Hush make Batman the wrong guy, joker never, Hush broke kill rule, joker never and even show the real Batman personality of an lunatic that betray all his friends Hush go more deeper that any existing villain of batman, and thanks to people like you and other losers trying to understand Hush, this character is not understood, so thanks
I know he may not be the most grounded in design but seeing a R rated serial killer Killer Croc would be dope! Maybe he has a condition or something but he'd be a good pick for this dark universe. Im definitely on board with scarecrow tho!
I don't think Nick Hippo Films knows it, but Clayface is already in the Penguin series. Eve Karlo was Clayface. She was able to dress herself to look different ways with wigs and makeup, and she was also seen playing the role of Oz's mother in the finale of the series.
She transformed herself into whomever you desire. That's a superpower right there. She's not Clayface, but she's a clear homage. Which means we're probably not gonna see Clayface.
Im so glad you didn't just regurgitate what everyone else says on the internet with the MCU brain rot. People who really believe Julian Rush actually is Scarecrow astonish me. It was such a relief when you mentioned Hugo Strange instead of the Court of Owls. The Penguin show only elevated how dark, brutal and maniacal the actual Arkham institution can be then what was shown in The Batman, if they use it for the setting of an entire movie (maybe the third) I would be more than grateful. Also as cool and creepy as the Court of Owls are there's no individualism there with the whole eyes wide shut anonymous thing.
My idea is for Hugo Strange &Kirk Lanstrom.. Work together, Langstrom create Manbats for Hugo's monster army, while Langstrom being a good guy but taken advantage from Hugo..
I love to see them set up Harvey Dent in The Batman Part 2 and naturally build up his downfall as Two-Face by establishing his friendship with Bruce Wayne and his partnership with Batman and the GCPD. He wanted to take down the organised crime in Gotham under the Falcone family; however, now he has to try to learn how to stop Penguin's criminal empire. Id especially love if they take they're time with setting him up in Part 2 as a supporting character and in the third movie he becomes Two Face and we really see him kickstart the rise of supervillains in Gotham. Other villains I'd love to see are Mr Freeze, Scarecrow, and Poison Ivy because they could do many exciting things with said villains. Maybe they could have Mr Freeze be someone who worked for Thomas Wayne and Wayne Industries back in the day before Bruce was born, as maybe instead of Ferris Boyle, they could reimagine Thomas Wayne being indirectly/accidentally responsible for causing Victor's accident and keep his wife hidden in storage somewhere thus fueling his rage and ambition to find and cure her. This would tie into the overarching themes of corruption and lies even in the Wayne family as Bruce realises how his father made many mistakes, most of which he regrets, thus Bruce feels compelled to amend for said mistakes and not feel like his fathers actions define Bruces identity. One idea I had for Scarecrow was to reimagine him as a religious cult leader, putting the fear of God into his followers, planting his fear toxin as a secret drug in Gotham and expanding his cult into the city. Poison Ivy would also be another underrated villain who has the potential to be portrayed as this femme fatale chemist seducing and poisoning powerful men in Gotham, such as Bruce Wayne, and using her seductive charm to get what she wants and even kill them to save mother Earth as she has a mental disorder that makes her believe she can actually talk to plant life and hear how much they suffer because of pollution. Though to be honest, I do think it is more probable that villains like The Court of Owls, Hush or Professor Pyg are more likely to appear, given the tone of this universe. Even though I'd love to see villains like The Court of Owls or Professor Pyg, since I can see them get proper build-up, I've never really been a fan of Hush as a character and thought if Matt Reeves wants to adapt him then Im fine with that, since he could indeed make Hush a more interesting villain than he is in the comics but I do think there are better villains to pick from than him?
Would love to see the buildup of Harvey becoming Two Face and his spiral into madness from being the DA, I know he’s already had live action but he’s my favorite so I’m biased
I think they're going to avoid Harvey, just because he's too well known from the Dark Knight. They likely won't want that comparison, anymore than any other comedian wanted to follow Robin Williams. But I'm with you that Two-Face would be fun. I'd like to see them skip the origin of his scar, and just start him off as acting DA with this bandage over his face, and have no one realize that he's been spiraling beneath the surface until it's too late.
I would like a series of gordon solving cases for small criminals and serials killers like: Zasz Calendar man Profesor pyg Clayface I Killer Croc The redhood clan Madhatter
I think it’d be cool if they made Julian Rush slowly descend into the Calendar man, he already does transport people back into their worst day alive with his psychology techniques I think it’s very possible that they could slowly make him become evil
I would want villains we haven't seen before like Mad Hatter, Ventriloquist/Scarface, Mr. Zsasz, Hugo Strange, heck, even some lesser known villains like Prometheus, Lady Shiva, Red Claw, etc. They would fit perfectly in the Reeverse. Gunn's universe should have Clayface, Killer Croc, Mr. Freeze, Poison Ivy, Man-Bat, Solomon Grundy, and comic accurate Bane.
I think it could be really interesting if they use the court of owls as a villain or as a bigger part of the Matt Reeves universe. Especially, I think they can do something with them and the penguin together because he seems to take a political role in Matt's universe, so I think they could do something interesting there.
Also, I think it would have be interesting with Hugo Strange because I think that they could make a movie with him very confusing because of his intellect, so they can make it so that the movie lands at the end. Also think they could make him like a constant threat throughout the movie because he could make himself untouchable becuse he knows that Bruce is the Batman or somthing, Think Dr Strange and Poison Ivy would make a good duo
Certain more fantastical villains can be done I think. Like Matt Reeves was able to make movies about talking chimps feel grounded so it isn’t out the window.
I really hope they go with crane's childhood of not being obsessed with fear, but being tortured by it from his dad; who would continually lock him in a dark basement filled with his greatest fears so that he could study John's reaction. Then one day, whilst conducting these "tests", his father has a heart attack and john was left under the floorboards of his own home to days on end trapped in the dark and smothered by fear.
Hey, im enjoying the vids. But i am curious on if u could make a video on how u think the joker will tie into this universe. To be honest i dont see him as a main villain threat at all and im curious in ur opinion on what u think matt reaves will do with him
I feel like if it's gonna stay with the early parts of Batman's career, Mr. Freeze would be a good pick in my opinion, it'd be nice to have a villain that Batman feels bad for and somewhat understands his motivations but also knows he needs to stop him
We already have the four villains from the 1960’s Batman movie, give them a dehydrating gun, give Victor a twin who becomes Robin, bring back Christin Milioti and you’ve got yourself a movie.
COURT OF OWLS!! I feel like that would be PERFECT especially since they don’t have much representation and can still feel “Fresh” as they’re hardly in media and haven’t been in film.
Probably not going to happen, but I would LOVE a Mad Hatter on the Big Screen. I will keep saying this until they do it, BTAS has proven that the Mad Hatter has so much potential as a more psychological villain. Scarecrow is useful for testing Batman's fears, Joker for Batman's sanity, but the Mad Hatter would test Batman's drive and temptation, using illusions and his neuro-illusion machine to give Batman everything he could ever want. Imagine the Hatter using illusions to replace the faces of his goons with the faces of Thomas and Martha.
I think it's pretty obvious it's The Joker. They set him up in the first film. Also, it would be a good villain for The Penguin to bounce off of as a secondary character again.
So I wanted to ask, have you thought about incorporating some light background music while you talk? I don't know, I'm just giving ideas in case you're interested.
For anyone that hasn’t read it yet, read Batman The Imposter. It’s written by Matt Tomlinson, the same man who wrote The Batman. I think they’ll take heavy inspiration from that in terms of an imposter posing at Batman & Bruce Wayne, and change the Hush story to match those elements.
I think for us to get Mr. Freeze we have to completely forget about the comic character. In this Batman universe he would be more of a serial Killer who freezes the victims bodies . He wouldn’t have a freeze gun. It would more so be a needle he uses that causes paralysis etc etc. Just my opinion on how we could see it without the fantastical aspects
I see after the Penguin on most likely Reeves setting up a bigger role for Arkham to play next movie So villains like Hugo Strange and Scarecrow would easily be seen But also the criminal underworld has changed significantly, so I could see Black Mask being Penguin's rival and villains like Mad Hatter. and Mr. Bloom help keep making and distributing Bliss This could also lead us to other villains like Harley, Calendar Man, Zsasz, The Ventriloquist in Arkham And seeing Ivy being used by Scarecrow and Penguin to use her rare plants to make their drugs
I like Victor Zsasz. This serial killer would fit well as a follow up in Matt Reeve's world. But it will probably be some bigger, already-been-done, known.
Realistically what they could do is have 2 or 3 villains they could have Mr freeze as more of a side villain, having calender man and penguin aswell with batman going after the penguin and calender man and Mr freeze coming into it by penguin steeling Nora and making him do he's wishes. With a batman 3 being a arkham asylum fight with all the villains getting out and joining up to fight batman a bit like the game.
Adapting Mr Freeze would be the safest choice because of his history and story. However, it’s the safest choice. What more can you really do with a villain whose motivation is solely to save his wife? Atp, it’s reaching the same amount of coverage as joker is. Having Mr. Freeze be the villain of the second movie would be a choice made solely for fan service/to just see him in a proper movie adaptation than it would be for the good of the story. Besides that, the only thing he can really offer the story is a redemption arc for Batman which already happened in the first movie
The way the darker version of the Batman movies are imo the perfect villains would be scarecrow hush or clayface. They should make it so Batman doesn’t find out penguin was behind it until the end of the movie making him the main villain for a potential third film
I’d love to see James Gordon Junior as a villain. He’s a terrifying serial killer character that works in this universe and would be a good foil to Gordon
I could see Jillian Rush being the scarecrow. He's creepy af and I see potential, and we all doubted Heath. I wouldn't want to see too much of him blossoming until the movie anyway.
Eve is clayface her last name is Karlo she was with Penguin at the end of the series they portrayed her of playing different roles for her clients and she was portraying penguin's mom at the end also
My pitch: at the begging of The Batman part 2 Bruce Wayne is no longer acting as Batman because he blames himself for what the Riddler did at the end of the first movie. Now he's trying to help people as Bruce, donating money to projects that aim to revitalize Gotham and rebuild the city (that's why he does not appear in the Penguin show). However, a series of mysterious murders start to happen, leading to Bruce wearing the cape again to investigate. The murderer? Court of Owls, baby. IT'S BATMAN THE COURT OF OWLSS LETS GOOOOO
I always had in my mind that Scarecrow and Hugo Strange would be the ideal villains for me on the sequel, making Arkham a huge part of the story and put Bruce trying to solve the problems of that place as a public figure
I think it would be cool if the villain was one hasn’t been effectively portrayed before in a Batman film. Penguin would be a good choice imo, but after a full series of him, I’m a bit sick of him. I think just having him as a more minor villain in the plot would work better. Scarecrow would be good as well, although he did have a decent part in Batman begins. Hugo strange would be a great pick I think.
Do you think we will get more movies after the trilogy of the Batman? I love the Matt reeves universe so I hope we do, If not I understand because we got DCU coming
It's a scrapped idea, according to the authors, so no, I don't think that he'll be more than an original character who is either a student of Dr. Crane or his mentor
I agree with everything
This definitely blew my mind! I’m hoping for Mr. Freeze 🥶 especially with the winter theme ❄️
I don't want watered down trash
@@Shockkings0714 What’s watered down trash, because he’s not walking popsicle? There is nothing watered down about what I’m proposing, the only real change is in presentation.
Mr. Freeze is hardly what I’d classify as a “Fantastical” character, he’s no Poison Ivy, (modern) Clayface, or Killer Croc. He has no powers, all of his offensive means are gadgets. By that right, of all Batman’s more fanatical rouges he’s the perfect one to adapt into a Grounded setting, which Matt Reeves has expressed interest in doing so in interviews.
He has a condition yes and that is interesting, but it’s more of a flavor thing to give him cool appearance and bulky suit to limit his mobility, all of which is persevered in my proposal.
@@LilBig780 He's a blue icicle. If Reeves himself considers him fantastical than he's fantastic;
Your right about Hush
He’s to much like the riddler
Yeah I think Hush was more of a red herring about Riddler’s identity/a reference to his involvement in that story
If they do the joker at all, please save him for last. I don’t need another joker right now at this moment… let the character rest PLEASE
Fun fact “Bliss” is a character in a Robin story and Scarecrow really hates him because his drug brings other people pleasure instead of fear.
Definitely relevant. Good catch

I want scarecrow specifically with the Arkham knight design and writing
Me to, he’s my top choice. Other choices are also great but it would almost feel like a waste not to have a scarecrow movie with the dark grounded vibes of this universe

Same! I really enjoy watching his vids!!
thank you!
Very dope idea 🎩
I love this theory you're spot on
Keep it going Kid ! I’m a DC fan so the more the merrier your doing great man you keep posting and I’ll keep watching !
I actually suspect the only reason the Joker was in the first film at all is because the studio demanded it.
u r becoming my favourite youtuber lots of love from india ❤
I dont know if anyone else mentioned it, but something that also alludes to Clayface being in the universe in some capacity is in Penguin, specifically the character Eve. Her second name is Karlo, and her thing in the show of taken on whatever role her clients wants kinda fits the bill. Either this would be a female Clayface, or possibly a hint at her being his sister
I think it's going to be 'The Eraser', who first appeared in 1966 in Batman comic no. 188, he wore a giant pencil eraser on his head, a yellow suit & black pointed shoes, which could spray tear gas !
🙉
my sleep deprived ass thought the title meant part two of the video, so went to your channel and looked for part one 😭
I feel that lmao
On the penguin series, Oz's "girlfriend" is named Eve Karlo. Apart from her last name, the final scene of the show also suggests that she is that og version of clayface since she is disguised as Oz's mother. Plus in the scene with Sofia and her, I think it is mentioned that she pretends to be someone else or gets disguised depending on the clients. I cant recall what was said exactly, I watched the series only once
I’m shocked no one has thought or mentioned Poison Ivy especially with her being a botanist and bliss coming from the mushrooms, etc.
Please 🙏 no. Let's be fresh for once and give us a serious take on Mister Freeze or Blob Clayface.
S tier idea. Don't listen to the NPC above me
MR FREEZE THE GOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAT
I’m personally not a fan of this idea but I’m sure it’d turn out to be cool
Harvey should just be Harvey Hush should be some kind of Court Of Owls combination

Samsara*
And Eve I don't see being a villain for a movie or even a side villain.
daaaaamn okay
She ain’t clayface lmao but this is a well thought out theory
Look at you and your little peach fuzz. How adorable

Same man, such a lame change
yeah that new 52 origin was horrible and completely takes away the relatability of mister freeze
Understand that he’s a person but he’s a monster still
Clayface, Court of Owls. Scarecrow will likely be saved for the Arkham Asylum show.
...that got cancelled

So stupid, an character is no good or bad by an twist, that is an problem of the story, you don't understand nothing about hush, hush is more bigger, interesting and complex menace that joker, Hush make Batman the wrong guy, joker never, Hush broke kill rule, joker never and even show the real Batman personality of an lunatic that betray all his friends
Hush go more deeper that any existing villain of batman, and thanks to people like you and other losers trying to understand Hush, this character is not understood, so thanks
I know he may not be the most grounded in design but seeing a R rated serial killer Killer Croc would be dope! Maybe he has a condition or something but he'd be a good pick for this dark universe. Im definitely on board with scarecrow tho!

I love the concept of this video
I don't think Nick Hippo Films knows it, but Clayface is already in the Penguin series. Eve Karlo was Clayface. She was able to dress herself to look different ways with wigs and makeup, and she was also seen playing the role of Oz's mother in the finale of the series.
She transformed herself into whomever you desire. That's a superpower right there. She's not Clayface, but she's a clear homage. Which means we're probably not gonna see Clayface.
I want to see Professor pyg, Mad Hatter, Anarky and Hugo Strange. But I think the villain for part 2 will be Hush.
Pyg would be legit!!
keep up the videos brotha !
That's a great idea... for a different Bat-verse than this one.
*They need to do Fantasm, Scarecrow, and Poison Ivy.*
They basically already did Hush as the first movie's Riddler (who is Hush anyway).*
Goated account
Deadshot as a secondary villain. Thoughts?
It could work for sure
James Gunn will be the main villain.
I would like a series of gordon solving cases for small criminals and serials killers like:
Zasz
Calendar man
Profesor pyg
Clayface I
Killer Croc
The redhood clan
Madhatter
If we get a golden age clayface that means we are basically doing the riddler again,a masked serial killer after a masked serial killer is so exciting
Scarecrow is my #1
Certain more fantastical villains can be done I think.
Then one day, whilst conducting these "tests", his father has a heart attack and john was left under the floorboards of his own home to days on end trapped in the dark and smothered by fear.
i can see hush being used in a third part that way it gives him more time to plan things out with established villains in any show/movie before hand
I've thought about it, not sure if I'm gonna do it or not
For anyone that hasn’t read it yet, read Batman The Imposter. It’s written by Matt Tomlinson, the same man who wrote The Batman. I think they’ll take heavy inspiration from that in terms of an imposter posing at Batman & Bruce Wayne, and change the Hush story to match those elements.
it is a great story
I think for us to get Mr. Freeze we have to completely forget about the comic character. In this Batman universe he would be more of a serial
Killer who freezes the victims bodies . He wouldn’t have a freeze gun. It would more so be a needle he uses that causes paralysis etc etc. Just my opinion on how we could see it without the fantastical aspects
I see after the Penguin on most likely Reeves setting up a bigger role for Arkham to play next movie
So villains like Hugo Strange and Scarecrow would easily be seen
But also the criminal underworld has changed significantly, so I could see Black Mask being Penguin's rival and villains like Mad Hatter. and Mr. Bloom help keep making and distributing Bliss
This could also lead us to other villains like Harley, Calendar Man, Zsasz, The Ventriloquist in Arkham
And seeing Ivy being used by Scarecrow and Penguin to use her rare plants to make their drugs
I just wanna see ‘Heart of Ice’ play out in a dramatic live action film.
For me my choice since the setting is around winter, christmas, new year season. I can see Julian Gregory Day aka Calendar Man.
I just don’t know why everyone hyping Hush like the riddler was basically Hush in part 1
I’m hoping it’s Mr. Freeze, Clayface (with the original story), and Penguin in the background pulling the strings.
I’m saying it’s the court of owls and mr freeze
I love your videos but one piece of advice cuz I wanna see you blow up. Get a good mic. Better sound quality
Thank you! Can’t really afford one right now but I will buy one asap.
Gonna be court of owls
I think that would be better for three
The Court of Owls would be interesting. Or Crazy Quilt. 😂 Maybe throw Azrael in there too.
Mr Freeze needs a good live action adaptation cuz he is a top 5 Batman villain in my opinion
Same 😊
I think someone lesser known like calendar man or Mr. Zsasz would be amazing.
Would love to see the court
i always take into consideration that brave and bold and that bat will have a trilogy
I think Part 2 should be Hugo Strange and Scarecrow, then Part 3 have Hush and Court of Owls. With Penguin and Harvey Dent as side antagonists.
I’m scared this movie will either get delayed another year, or just get cancelled. Sounds like there has been no progress towards filming the sequel.
I always had in my mind that Scarecrow and Hugo Strange would be the ideal villains for me on the sequel, making Arkham a huge part of the story and put Bruce trying to solve the problems of that place as a public figure
would be my ideal movie tbh
Clay face would be right up Mike Marino alley
Imagine what he could do with the right actor like the actor from the movie split
One of the animated movies revealed Hush to be the Riddler in disguise, I just assumed they combined both in the Batman into 1 character
Do you think we will get more movies after the trilogy of the Batman? I love the Matt reeves universe so I hope we do, If not I understand because we got DCU coming
