I won't say the DLC is bad, It has a fantastic New Weapon Type, the Bosses are pretty solid IMO, and the enemies were able to kick my ass pretty efficiently on New Game Level alone (And if all you want is challenge Way of the Strong / Demon Provide), I just feel that there is too little new content brought to the table to be sold as singular DLC, that's kind of why I got the Season Pass so it felt all like one DLC to me.
Why are people complaining about the "recycled" bosses? There were three new bosses in the story and then optional side challenges that allowed you to fight old bosses. This is something that was in the base game. Maybe someone wants to fight a boss again but doesn't want to have to wade through the entire level again to fight them especially when they drop unique items to grind out. And many of the other challenges were things that were meant to make the encounter even harder like Nobunaga and Yuki-ona.
Well, what do you expect from hardcore elitist Souls fans? They bitching that's everything not Souls while ignoring the fact that Souls series itself has a lot of recycled shit too.
I just don't understand. Why Onyroki? Why reuse him? You have other bosses like Nue, Juro Gommo, and Hino Enma. Did we really need to see the guy who is so easily pacified by deviorgate, and weakness talismans?
Well we didn't get the water spirit in the 1st dlc, so i would never think we'd get it for free. I won't complain since this is a direct 1v1 fight so i don't need to waste time on the main mission.
Fresh 2D Toucher Buddies Don't get me wrong, I love Masamune. By far my favorite Sengoku era figure and boss fight for that matter. But having to fight him again for Nurarihyon was just stupid. Especially since he and William are supposed to be on the same side
this is a side mission, im pretty sure they added them in again so you can farm their sets easier instead of replaying the whole mission again to get their sets
The best guardian deities to use in duels are Daiba Washi and Mizuchi for continuous knockdown ability - especially when using weapons that have increased final blow damage. Mizuchi's the best since "saturation" (water effect) reduces defense by half AND it's attack travels forward to offer increased range.
Defiant Honor DLC Bosses from Hardest to Easiest for me Personally (LV 150 Tonfa / Ninjutsu Build on Way of the Samurai). 1. Sanada Yukimura ~ I already thought Date Masamune was pretty fucking hard, but who knew giving him a Spear, Fire and WInd Spirits would kick my ass even more. But the spectacle, Epicness and emotion behind the fight knowing you were pretty much responsible for his Father-In-Law's death made this an Amazing fight for me. 2. Dragon of North Boss Gauntlet ~ Mostly cause of Date Shigezane and Masamune. But the Gauntlet is great for Farming Amrita. 3. Sasuke Sarutobi ~ This was an Awesome Fast paced fight, He certainly was able to catch me off guard, but I was still able to Power through him and beat him first try though...But his Gun Tonfa's are SO Fucking Good, as well as his badass Armour set. 4. Mysterious Samurai / Kojiro Sasaki ~ Even though he has an extremely Flashy Odachi Moveset I'd love to see myself, he overall wasn't really a challenge for me Despite I was about 50 Levels below the mission requirement. Even tried to fight him of Way of the Strong and I still managed to beat him first try -not cause of spirit stones XD-.
Mushashi is in the first, on a side quest, the last DLC will freature Keiji Maeda, known as the best japan warrior of all time, hope hes hard cause these first DLCs where way to easy and Im only lv150.I Guess my tatenashi set +a good Odachi is too OP
with more ton of bosses hp hyper armor and why not energy weapons slash long range and few frames high damage slashes and archer artillery like dark souls 3 last dlc
an irish weabo with a waifu spirit got stolen and you recover and you re in the middle of japan shogunate war clans and a spanish spy called and looked like the waifu of bloodborne dlc lady maria of the astral store its causing problems to be continued
Guys, please. The Recycled bosses are here for the sake of there being a Bossrush for these bosses, while the mainstory doesnt exactly recycle (Execept for the return of Namahagane)
Yodo-dono (also known as Yodo-gimi, formerly named Chacha). She was the daughter of Oichi and Azai Nagamasa (and thus, Oda Nobunaga's niece), and also Toyotomi Hideyoshi's concubine and mother of the latter's heir, Toyotomi Hideyori (who appears in the end of the cutscene). I didn't expect she would become a boss, but it makes sense, since it was mostly her fault that Toyotomi clan fell in Siege of Osaka (she made a lot of stupid decisions against Yukimura's advices).
The last DLC will freature Keiji Maeda, known as the best japan warrior of all time, hope hes hard cause these first DLCs where way to easy and Im only lv150.I Guess my tatenashi set +a good Odachi is too OP
A Bad Player the games have similar combat with different philosophies. Playing one like the other will get you killed. Once you understand the focus of each combat nioh objectively becomes easier.
Yukimura's father in law is Yoshitsugu Otani... :( I like him in the SW, pretty cool and calm character, but if so, is Yukimura married to Yoshitsugu's daughter or just simply adopted?
Haos51 just to clarify, Yukimura was already married since before the battle of Sekigahara (according to the game). Unless actual history says otherwise of course
Still we don't get to finish off Yodogimi aka the O Daughter of Babylon(or Osaka perhaps) for good? God I hate that woman. Everyone would reach the same conclusion if they know what she did in the real history.
Look I love this game but... yeesh, the bosses are just endless human npcs anymore huh? Kinda disappointing considering earlier we got to fight things like a giant spider lady and a Taekwontoad.
they are cheapshits. only 2 new bosses and both human? fucking bs. ds dlc has new environments, new enemies and new amazing bosses. it seems to me they had content for 1 dlc and unnecessary cut it in 3 because obviously they gonna have a third one since it stopped before the story finished
Johngamer 1992 yea it's obvious that it's one big DLC cut into 3 small DLCs . I hate it since we need to wait 2 months between every DLC to progress in the story of the DLC . I still enjoyed it just wished it was a big one like bloodborne old hunters
Personally, I'm fed up of recycled bosses. Also, the human pvp style bosses in Nioh are overused. I loved the game, but the bosses deteriorated as the game went on with just a few exceptions. Bloodborne has some of the best enemy and boss design I've ever seen, plus the DLC was absolutely phenomenal. I wasn't impressed with either of the Dark Souls 3 DLC's, and I regret buying the season pass for this too, sadly. I hoped for something better than human enemies as bosses, and especially as it includes some recycled ones. I don't understand...Team Ninja down the years has given us great boss design. Surely they haven't run out of ideas.
Andy B Uh... While I respect your opinion on this game, I would like to remind you that there are bosses that are optional. Sasuke introduces a new weapon type as well as unique ninjutsu. Yukimura... Well you'd have to play and see for yourself. Also no offense but it sounds like you're comparing this to BB. May I remind that this game has the basis of Japanese history with folklore and fantasy. If you like BB's enemies then more power to you. But Nioh is not BB, it's not going to have the same exact enemies that you may have liked
Looking back I may have been a bit harsh with the 'recycled' comment. I'm still playing the game a lot and enjoying it as much as I did when I first started. I think what I was getting at, is that I'm not so much a fan of the human bosses, though I realize I'm in a minority there. I think a lot of the folklore tied to the game kinda makes it feel more like a history lesson. In truth, I'm still having a great time with the game, though I've yet to be blown away by the dlc. Hopefully the final one will go out with a bang. I certainly appreciate all the new things Team Ninja have introduced to the genre, and yes comparing it to Bloodborne was perhaps unfair too.
00:34 Sarutobi Sasuke
02:55 Sanada Yukimura
08:57 Mysterious Samurai
10:50 Date Masamune
14:00 Katakura Shigenaga
15:11 Date Shigezane
16:12 Date Masamune
Mysterious Samurai = Kojiro lmao, but he doesn't use his legendary skills in this game which called "Tsubame-gaeshi"
Lady Maria of the Tokyo TV Tower.
Big Ben
Nigel Blythe why allways ladymaria? Because shes female? lol
Ta mere 007 She looks and fights similarly
Nigel Blythe ROTFL
nonono of the astral store rape from the first dlc
I won't say the DLC is bad, It has a fantastic New Weapon Type, the Bosses are pretty solid IMO, and the enemies were able to kick my ass pretty efficiently on New Game Level alone (And if all you want is challenge Way of the Strong / Demon Provide), I just feel that there is too little new content brought to the table to be sold as singular DLC, that's kind of why I got the Season Pass so it felt all like one DLC to me.
Trevor Williams can I be your friend?
Kojiro Sasaki?! Ohhh shit, do I get to be Miyamoto Musashi?
Facts

People are comparing it too much to Dark Souls, Which is sad considering how different the games are.
Well, what do you expect from hardcore elitist Souls fans? They bitching that's everything not Souls while ignoring the fact that Souls series itself has a lot of recycled shit too.
Sanada Yukimura: Shogun of Cinder
Jalen B Wielding the moonlight greatsword xD
Jalen B thanks:)
Shigezane again? Come on, three Onryoki is one thing in the main game, but this is PAID DLC.
Dingo Fucker More like 7 onryoki
At last count, including all of the side missions, I believe it's closer to 15.
And there is an Onryoki in the first DLC even.
@@mojabaka3973 Onryoki is in every DLC in a side mission. TN loves re using enemies, even the Kunai dogs in the dlc are from Ninja Gaiden.
I just don't understand. Why Onyroki? Why reuse him? You have other bosses like Nue, Juro Gommo, and Hino Enma. Did we really need to see the guy who is so easily pacified by deviorgate, and weakness talismans?

is was just a sparring match in the dlc and you don't have to fight him
I mean, you've played the rest of the game, right? Everyone's got a Sparring Fight.
Hakumai
Masamune and Shigezane? Again? For a DLC? **Clap Clap Clap** Team Ninja
Ant Or maybe both, either way it's an interesting perspective
It's still pretty poor to resycle content in DLC. Makes you wonder why you paid for them a second time.
Did they at least get a new movset?
Akura God I don't think so
this is a side mission, im pretty sure they added them in again so you can farm their sets easier instead of replaying the whole mission again to get their sets

So if Sasaki was present, maybe Musashi will appear in the last DLC, probabily one the hardest, I hope
Musashi was in the main game allready
Mushashi is in the first, on a side quest, the last DLC will freature Keiji Maeda, known as the best japan warrior of all time, hope hes hard cause these first DLCs where way to easy and Im only lv150.I Guess my tatenashi set +a good Odachi is too OP
Nioh Recycling Honor- DLC of the boring boss fights
I think Sanada's intro was kickass.
with more ton of bosses hp hyper armor and why not energy weapons slash long range and few frames high damage slashes and archer artillery like dark souls 3 last dlc
Zakku how could you not compare this to dark souls when it's based on the style of game that dark souls made popular?
My biggest disappointment about the game aside from bosses is the Soundtrack. Damn its just so....bland.
Zakku in your reply to say how you can't compare them you literally compare them
@Boss Fight Database I think Yodogimi might be the final Big Bad in Nioh in Bloodshed's end.
Nioh can be somewhat the spiritual successor of Onimusha
The only thing connecting Nioh and Onimusha is the setting. Gameplay-wise they pretty much have nothing in common, so I can't agree on that one.
dark witcher souls
no really.
more like Gaiden Souls
Japan souls
reminds me more of a mix between onimusha games and the souls series.
This is literally weaboo souls.
Oh my it's a Dex build against a strength build
the thumbnail preview for this is pure gold
This game has samurai warriors in this? I might give it some play time..
Casting Sloth immediately after the cutscene ends.. yep.. pretty much sums up this game.
The Sengoku Basara Feels is comin back that anime's intro was lit wasn't a fan of the game though.
what kind of shaman king is this?
Sarutobi Sasuke 0:00
Sanada Yukimara 1:54
Mysterios Samurai 8:56
Date Masamune 10:46
Katakura Shigenega, Date Shigezane and Date Masamune 14:00
Just wondering, did the people that played this game know the history ?
an irish weabo with a waifu spirit got stolen and you recover and you re in the middle of japan shogunate war clans and a spanish spy called and looked like the waifu of bloodborne dlc lady maria of the astral store its causing problems to be continued
Rafa panzer Pretty accurate
I actually didnt first time i played it thro, then made some diggings so now im more or less in the picture about its history
I had read about Nobunaga and Masamune in this little warring samurai book my teacher got me from half price books.
Other than that, not a whole lot.
The game explains all there is to know about Yasuke's, the black samurais, history
Give you credit you are good at this game i played it and i dont have the patience for it its to hard for me
Honestly, from a story and historical perpective, I like Nioh more than Dark Souls.
Guys, please. The Recycled bosses are here for the sake of there being a Bossrush for these bosses, while the mainstory doesnt exactly recycle (Execept for the return of Namahagane)
All the bosses are human opponents? WTF? Would it have killed them to create a giant 3D model of a new demon type THAT much? Jeez.
ok that centipede arm thingy was rad.
Who is that black haired woman? Looks like she will be the final boss of the last dlc.
AZ Arishiba weeabieeeee
I honestly don't think you get to critique the game if you're using sloth.......
Josiah Johnson Sloth is for weaaklingss
Unless you're just farming
Josiah Johnson lol try playing way of the wise without sloth or any of the other buffs/debuffs
"You dont have the right to critique the game if you use what the game gives you"
Adloquium Dubious running that sloth into the ground I see lmao
Adloquium Dubious LMAO you do that my man. I hear clay feels great
The last DLC will freature Keiji Maeda, known as the best japan warrior of all time, hope hes hard cause these first DLCs where way to easy and Im only lv150.I Guess my tatenashi set +a good Odachi is too OP
Nura all over again. That Yodo... No... that fox
Thanks for showing the fights, glad they used someone who wasn't very good with the game so we can see more than 5 seconds of the boss fights.
AluminumHaste You meant to say glad someone without a oneshot knockdown/quickdraw build fought the bosses.
Colonel Mustang, is that you?!
Darl Souls Samurai edition featuring Geralt of Witcher
dude i havent played nioh since i beat the game a couple weeks after it first came out. is the dlc sick or what?? would appreciate some feedback
If Katakura's supposed to be one Sanada's ninja, why is he using a heavy two handed hammer
It probably wouldn't have hurt the DLC to add new music, especially to boss battles
Lwazi_NK47 yukimura does get his own music.
Lord Zuko He doesn't, that music was used at the beginning of Sekighara
Matthew Moon i dont remember that. I'll have to replay the game again.
Is it worth it to get the dlc? I’ve finished the normal game but looking into games I should get, is the dlc worth it?
Love the look of the game. Too bad I don't have the patience or skills to play Souls-like game like this😥
J.R. I think his game is way more difficult than the souls games. But I've only beaten 2 and 3.
A Bad Player difficulty is subjective, I found nioh to be far easier than any souls game could be.
demora714 and here I am dying so often in nioh in a beginners area. I gave up and went back to dark souls.
So...you get rekt in nioh, but then decide to "go back" to dark souls? Lmao. Nice lie.
A Bad Player the games have similar combat with different philosophies. Playing one like the other will get you killed. Once you understand the focus of each combat nioh objectively becomes easier.
First geralt then ciri.
Thank god I'm not the only one who gets strong Geralt vibes from the protagonist
The emanation of Brute Force.
Sanada Yukimura's cast, is it Miki Shin ichiro? Kinda sounds like him.
Wait, Chacha is not a boss? They put Kojiro Sasaki as a boss and not her?
how is the slow still a thing....
So... Two main bosses, 5 side mission bosses.
2:35 LOL Is that the Voice Actor 4 zamasu in DBS?
Yes i pickrd up on it too xD
Yukimura's father in law is Yoshitsugu Otani... :( I like him in the SW, pretty cool and calm character, but if so, is Yukimura married to Yoshitsugu's daughter or just simply adopted?
Since his father died recently, Yukimura probably married his daughter.
Haos51 just to clarify, Yukimura was already married since before the battle of Sekigahara (according to the game). Unless actual history says otherwise of course
1st = Sasuke Sarutobi, the 3rd Hokage's dad.
Someone can tell me the name or a link to the nine tales theme ? Please
4:05 "Meteor strike!"
como extraño a ryu hayabusa... verdadero arte de las esgrima xd
Maria's spirit should be a chicken cus that's all she does.... Run.
This should have been the Berserk game we need
no thanks its stupid seeing the dragonslayer doing a ton of slashes and doing a shitty damage
Isnt Sarutobi Sasuke supposed to be a hero in japanese mythology.
It's obvious who reg Samurai is.
This dude looks like the great value Geralt from The Witcher...
I have to get this game.
yodogimi ❤❤👀😍 so pretty I hope to see more of her hopefully oichi too
I clicked because for a moment there I thought Nier Automata had got updated lol
Dark BloodSoul, the anime
This is Definetly from the makers of Ninja gaiden 1:02 :) Too Bad it aint on the PC.
I thought the woman was gonna be a boss
who is that girl with spirit eyes?
now do this on 'way of the nioh' :)
if sasuke and hiruzen sarutobi was related in naruto 0:35
gonna called it now, the next dlc there will be a fight with :
double boss (misterious odachi samurai & mysterious dual katana samurai)
emies cant use living wepons thats your power
Still we don't get to finish off Yodogimi aka the O Daughter of Babylon(or Osaka perhaps) for good? God I hate that woman. Everyone would reach the same conclusion if they know what she did in the real history.
Is it just me or were there many spelling errors in there
Lady maria oh sheep smells like bloodborne
No Lady Maria of the Amrita Store Rape Boss battle or skin appearance? Bad Team Ninja, BAD!
WHERE'S MY NINJA GAIDEN 4 OR DOA6!?
Geralt, how is your trip in Japan?
I don't have the sub mission to fight the last boss. Whats going on?
Is this game available on PC ?
What's the ost for sasuke/date masamune's battle theme?
Wait, I remember you fought Masamune Date in the first DLC. Why is he here again?
becausw he is the vegetta of the game and lazyness of boss design
Marilu Berto You can fight him again to get his water spirit this time instead of his wind spirit.
So i suppose we will fight Yukimura again to get his other spirit
8:34 who is she?
Is that junichi suwabe I hear?
Anyone remember the smelter demon or the kings pets well.... This is worse
he looks like paul phoenix.
masamune date is a complete bitch to defeat in this dlc
Look I love this game but... yeesh, the bosses are just endless human npcs anymore huh? Kinda disappointing considering earlier we got to fight things like a giant spider lady and a Taekwontoad.
Why yoshitsugu is wind in this dlc but not water?
is the giant katana a dlc weapon?
sarutobi sasuke. sandaime hokage's father ! xD
2:09 lol i though naruto's sasuke is strong XD
I like it
8:36 That smile :3
Lady Maria?
this aint Bloodborne
Why the main character talks english and the other character talks japanese
Desde quando las Katanas son mas grandes que sus maestros
Sengoku basara.... :0
I assume the Mysterious samurai is Yagyu Munenori? I guess we'll find out in the next dlc, and wtf Masamune again?
The Mysterious Warrior was pretty much implied to be Kojiro Sasaki...Which gives people hope they'll do Miyamoto Musashi in the Next DLC.
Trevor Williams the Osaka campaign started in 1614 Sasaki Kojiro was killed by Musashi in 1612.
Also, William sail back to London and murder John Dee in........wait.
Might be a ghost warrior type of thing, You fight Sakata Kintoki in the game, he confirms he's a spirit.
well, the weapon he drops (Monohoshizao) confirms he's Kojiro Sasaki.
Sarutobi Sasuke. Naruto reference, anybody?
scrub lord nope, that isn't naruto reference
scrub lord Sarutobi Sasuke was a historical figure
who is the cutie at 8:14?
She needs some SFM lovin'... ;-3
Would of definately liked this game more if it respawned you just before the boss fight
Recycled bosses in DLC too . This is why Souls Series > Nioh

Don Teremore I guess you do have a point . Still would have liked more variety in the DLC for nioh . Even 1v1 human bosses are getting boring
Didn't Dark Souls 2 just re skin bosses or make up fight the same bosses over and over? Even in the dlc
