I'm Josh with Cotton and Hollow. We make funny things, we make useful things and we end up in many improbable situations. If you've got this far in the description you are an intrepid explorer of boxes and I approve you as a comrade in curiosity. So join me on this adventure as we make multitudes of majorly magnificent videos as we be excessively modest and have a good time! Thanks for watching and reading, give yourself a cookie.
Pro tip, don't make a club. Use the torch and beat up a wolf when you first start, take its 2 bones it drops and then craft a wand, Go down into the first enshrouded area completely naked with a wand and kill the first boss, he will drop an Epic Sword that has 16 dmg to start and lasts much much much longer than the club.
That’s literally a pro tip, thanks
Not walking down in endhrouded area to fight a boss with my 🍆 hanging out 💀
The weapon that the boss drops is random. I got a legendary axe on my first kill, but not the next. Also there's a hidden weapon in the starting cave if you check every nook and cranny.
I never see anyone talking about or using the op assasin ranger build also grab the teleport dodge and boom your a god
"this game is gonna get buried" *hits number two* *realizes palworld is number one* XD
No idea why this game gets popular when it literally looks worse than Fable Anniversary which is 10 years old. Outdated crap.
Im already 16 hours in this game its great af.
Me and my mate played it yesterday got to lvl 4 and found 4 of the npcs in a few hours (they’re around the starting areas ) since that’s the progression path feels like we are almost done one day in
do u save your level after you leave server?
Lol duh it's a test right now. The nps are there to help for a moment. The rest is up to you to explore
It's early access
@@MrAngrybaldguy Not an excuse
Almost done? Lol! You have no idea how large this game is do you?
I will get it for sure.
I hate how magic isn't worth it... The whole limited uses via a dumb scroll sucks
If i had friends to play with I would buy it. I feel like alone it wouldn't be much fun, much like ark, valheim, lethal company, the forest, etc.
It's still fun as a single player game, in fact in its current state the multiplayer is very disjointed because the quests are tied to the host and if you start a new game with the same character on a new server you will have to restart all the quests.
Did you get access to a alpha or beta? As iv seem a few people saying 50 hours and I'm like how games not been out that long plus the 7-8 hour demo still don't add up.
Early Early access for content creators, but they couldn't put out info until yesterday is my understanding
Item durability is a flat-out nope mechanic for me. Thanks for pointing it out and saving me the money.
I just don't see how this is any different from the 10,000 other survival games in the past 10 years. Will stick to Pal world lmfao
There is zero substance to pal world, something like this has quests, unique locations l, dungeon bosses, npcs, voxel building, pal world you just catch Pokémon- put Pokémon to work- catch more poke mon- use Pokémon to fight big Pokémon- rinse repeat
So random that people are only comparing these two games like we were all just born in 2024 and these are the two games that exist... we truly are desperate for games touting these two as amazing games... cringe
This and Palworld are both really good in their own way. It all depends which style of survival game u want to go for. Personally this one is more my style than palworld since it feels alot like valheim with better graphics/combat/building.
Thorfinn?
Agreed on the timing, I was ready for enshrouded but palworld is looking tempting. Anyone have both?
I have both and I'm thinking I like the feel of Enshrouded better.
Really shows how desperate we are for games... haha
I have both and while I only have about 3 hours of playtime inside Enshrouded I would say they’re just two very different types of games. Palworld is a sandbox survival game with monster catching and an automated base. It has little to no RPG elements. Enshrouded is more of a sandbox RPG with survival elements. I would compare Palworld with Ark, and Enshrouded with Valheim. They are similar but definitely have their differences
I have both, and I can say both are quite different. Palworld makes you manage your base a lot more, the automation and taking care of the pals you put to work and progressing feels heavily reliant on your base building progression and crafting materials. Where Enshrouded feels more of an action RPG and base building (so far in the 3h I've played) didn't feel as much as a mandatory thing to focus on so you have more leeway to explore.
For the combat, you deal such tiny damage compared to your pals and later on you pretty much have to make guns and craft loads of ammo to feel like you're helping with damage dealing, the melee options are mainly just spears so it feels pretty meh.
Enshrouded gives you a good option as well as skill tree so it has more personality in combat imo. Tho, I still have no idea how to use the staff weapons 💀
The plus of Palworld is if you like games like pokemon and catch all the different pals and breed them, it's so much fun!
But yeah both games are heckin fun imo, but you might like one over the other depending on your playstyle
@@indigodndEnshrouded isn't really a sandbox, it's quite linear, your second play through won't be different from your first, you can't go anywhere you want because the red shroud will kill you in 5 seconds, so you have to level up your flame altar before you can move to the next high level area. It's still an amazing game, but I don't really consider it a sandbox.
Will this game ever come to console? This looks perfect to me 😭
Go buy a pc it’s worth it
Just buy a pre build gaming pc already, you won’t regret it. Wish I would have done it sooner
too bad console peasant
steam deck
I think it's planned to be on consoles when full release comes
this feels like Valheim to me
@RageGamingVideos Just a tip: Explain what an iFrame is in the dodging/gaming sense, because iFrames is lingo that not everyone is going to understand unless they've played things like the Souls games. Or they're from the 1990s era of HTML based web development, which totally will throw them off....
It reminds me greatly of 'Lord of the Rings: Mines of Moria'
Same here bro, it left me traumatised, now I see a game in Unreal 5 and I run away from it!
@@rodriguezzzzzz
Understandable, but it is a decent experience with a friend.
If my pc wasnt held hostagr until i pay an 80 euro repair fee, i would be playing this game. Until then ill be seething in a corner watching people play
I'd pay the fee
It's not being held hostage, you've just failed to pay the fee. Pay it. Don't be cheap.
You got a virus pal?
Can you run malwarebytes from a USB to clean up?
I tried it and i don't get all the good review. The building might be good but the combat system and the AI ist just bad - Valheim is so much better there. I wanted it to be good but it just doesn't makes fun for me when the Enemies are dumb and i dont feel any impact while keep spamming the same button so the enemies are constantly stunned.
Anyone jumped from Palworld to Enshrouded, and how do they compare? I'm loving that cheesy Palworld but this looks more of my type
They compare by not being comparable. Not even a little... Should be clear.
I jumped and definitely my type of game especially if you love fantasy rpg's plus coop. It could be better without the survival mechanics but it's not the worst here. Controller support is implemented very well also. Game overall feels pretty well so far.
@@Setuaro Are they both video games? Are they both open world, do they have survival elements, can you build a base? Nothing is comparable?
@@LegendaryElmore Thank you. usually don't like many games but try out a lot of different games. I have put probably 20 hours in Palworld and have had a blast. Enshrouded looks more of my type of game though. I love that eden ring Dragons Dogma 2 world.
@@bewee it's like comparing skyrim with ark lmao both have survival elements (suvival mode of skyrim) if you're going to play palworld or enshrouded to make a base and hunt shit to survive then you won't enjoy both at all, Palworld focuses more in Pals and exploring, doing mini dungeons with pals, etc and Enshrouded focuses in exploring, doing dungeons with monsters to get better armors, weapons, finding npcs, etc
I'm feeling like these survival games are always fun for like 3 first days then they just get more boring the more upgraded you are.
If u have bosses u can work towards to fight its fun i had allot of fun with valheim and my friends
@@TheJarlath9valheim much more better then enshrouded, because the second one have only 3 types of mobs and bosses just upscale their levels 🥱
Im trying to talk myself out of buying this one but it looks so good and its cheap
I just wish it had better optimization, I have a pretty solid 3060 kit and im past the recomended specs on the games steam page, and i barely get a stable frame rate of 60, even when it says 90.. it feels like 30
Think it’s because there’s sooooo many systems in this game that it’s pretty much gonna be impossible to make it run smoothly. It’s an extremely ambitious game
Cap your frames to 55 and load the game up a few times. It has to build its caches and shaders and stuff. I restarted the game a couple times and ran around a bit and everything settled for me, it's been fine ever since
I'm running a i7-13700k, 32gb ram, and a 3080. I was getting frame stutter like a mofo. I googled it and somebody said something about 60fps cam issues. I turned the refresh rate on my monitor down form 165 to 60, fixed it. Hopefully that gets resolved.
@@smittyjones8755 Ill give this a go huge thanks to you 3!!
Thats weird cuz i also have a 3060 on a pretty wack pre build but im at a stable 70 fps most of the time. I only drop frames when the time transitions to night time
4070ti + i7 13700k which runs all modern games on ultra settings at 1440p.
I'm getting around 50 fps. Gonna be a hard refund for me.
Just lower the quality a little. The game is awesome af
Ohhhhh nooooo it's got some performance issues the first day of early access! Have to get my $26 back right now! UNACCEPTABLE!
my 4070ti is running it beautifully! Getting probably 100fps on average at 4k with resolution scale at 80%. The DLSS integration is magical. There was day-1 driver put out by nvidia yesterday, so it might be worth trying again after getting that, if you haven't already.
I've only got a 3090 with a 5900x
Not sure how to see fps.
However set it to Native 4k, Dlss to performance and everything else on to epic.
I don't notice any slow down at all. Only ever stuttered once when loading a shrouded area with lots of distance and fog.
Once in 8 hours of play.
Sometimes (myself included) get eaten up on a high fps. If you can have fun and don't notice a lower number, then stuff it. Crank up all that detail and just enjoy!
@@swish3814 Seems you're very uneducated, along with these responses. Turns out I was getting nearly 200 fps, but the engine is locked to 60hz, and it just felt like it was low fps. The devs have admitted to this and most people with above room temp IQ have noticed.
This is the first game in history I've played with such a pathetic problem.
Both the UI and the base building look straight out of ARK, the two things I thought ARK could have done better. The combat looks cartoony, not the worst thing but not for me. Unless there’s a downside for not eating then I probably won’t bother, I never used consumables in Elden Ring other than the flasks.
Isnt unreal engine great, now we have 5,000 ark knock offs. 😢 Modern gaming is such a cancer
@@WhenDevilsDuelIt's not using Unreal Engine.
@kronicOverseer Modern gamers are cancer. Even if it was UE5 imagine complaining there are too many similar games coming out? Complaining like you are obligated to play each game lmao. What a pathetic low IQ mindset.
Is there any 'story' in it at all ? Like how much RPG is there ?
Sorta but it's small. It's only a test phase right now
meh. i'll wait for a few months when the game is better. Palword is too addictive
That other game is a very strange mixture of realistic world graphics and very cartoonish characters. I don't think that will hit hard across a broad audience. I know a lot of people that have had Enshrouded on their wishlist for a while now. I think it will do just fine.
Can we configure the keys for movement, for example using the arrow key? Thanks.
Yes you can 😊
Thanks a lot ^^
@@youlostthedebate
Arrow keys? What the fuck
@@cmon200 for the different type of arrows in the game. He was wondering if there’s a key(like up or down key) to switch the arrows type quickly. Which there is
Ah another one that forgot to write the "not" in the titel. Game is a hollow shell. Repetitive to the maxium with not reason real reward at the end. NPc bring lame rewards and tiny ammount of enemies just varies in lvl. Done. Whole game 3 hours didn`t even build a base because why for? Did it afterwards just to figure out it is the only thing they put some work in.
i want refund my friend finished the game for me while i was offline
SO MUCH TALKING! STOP! USLESMOUTH!
literally valheim
Very close to it!
absolutely hate how bloaty the UI looks
so its just vlaheim with better graphics and less water?
No need to waste time on this garbage, playing Palworld atm
is this game like grounded?
No.
Not at all. I’m just coming from grounded. 250 hours in 2 weeks. I know don’t judge me. But enshrouded is good. But it’s no grounded!!
Hey rage gaming, your community is apparently full of pretentious bullies. Fun.
Its funny how obvious it is that streamers and youtubers get paid to do this. Its way too coincidental how all of them start playing the same game at once.
Someone's paying attention
I mean, yeah. It's not exactly hidden, is it? Devs pay them to promote their game around launch time to drive sales. Pretty simple.
you mean how they post videos of a game, afters its release, almost like they got access to it or sumthin around the same time
Wow. It's almost like the game released yesterday, and people who were given early access to make content on it are now allowed to post said content. Crazy thought right? But nah you probably figured out some secret stuff, not at all a moron
@@spankyjeffro5320 it is being hidden tho. Lethal company streamers don't say hey welcome to my sponsored stream and this review doesn't disclose shit iirc
The devs took many things from different games, but forgot to take what makes those games fun, and completely ignored the design decisions behind those features.
The only reason why the food mechanic worked in Valheim was because it was set in purgatory, and your character is technically immortal; it does not work here.
The only reason why the boss mechanic worked in Terraria was because it was a side-scroller game on a finite plane; it does not work here.
The only reason why the base thrall mechanic worked in Conan was because it was a MP Clan game; it does not work here.
The devs failed. Hard. They tried to make a game without following game theory, everything is tacked on.
this should have been a mmo
So valheim meets BOTW. Already bought the game.
This is so depressing to read. Just because its scenic doesn't mean its like botw, wish ppl would stop saying that. Tloz games are good because of the mechanics not the world. Casual.
@@WhenDevilsDuel Have you even played it yet? Its clearly inspired by zelda games
so valheim basically
Lol, no
@@Skyunai it is valheim , is a good game , sadly it was released now... and palworld is where everyone is
@@kaiserdarkangel no it isnt. Nothing like valheim, the only similarities is that its a survival game with food buffs. I played Valheim and im now playing enshrouded, they are nothing alike. Both amazing games yes, but they arent like each other.
@@Skyunai it’s looks exactly the same from art style to functionality
@@Skyunai it literally is. Building, survival, with bosses.
this looks terrible lol
bro plays shitty cartoon games on his channel and said this looks awful do you need some attention
Its probably the second best survival games i’ve played yet. Only time will tell before it reaches that number 1 spot for me.
@SuperRyanJoe who's got your top spot?
@@markymoo22 Valheim is number 1 for me. The amount of fun ive had in that game i havent got from another survival game before
@SuperRyanJoe Thanks for the reply.
I had just bought PalWorld 2 days ago as it was trending. Then I saw someone from work ayo g this who had just finished with Valheim, so thought I'd give it a go. I've never played this type of game before.
Never knew chopping trees down for 3 hours could bring so much escapism 👍
So Valhalla
2nd
