Hello! I found your 'how you monetized your channel in 10 weeks' video as a suggestion on my homepage, so I just had to watch your first one. Delightful & peaceful! I only have one video on my channel, but intend to begin again soon. Appreciate your encouragement to get those first 'not as good' videos over with sooner rather than later! I'll join you in the 50+ YT club. Thank you so much for the inspiration!
Same! It’s a “want to do” but haven’t taken the plunge. I think I have two videos made on my channel. I’m going to make it my goal to do new content in September. Your video on monetizing your channel was what drew me in and what you said about consistency is definitely the key. I’ve seen that being said over and over by successful You Tubers. You’ve inspired me that women of a certain age are not too old to start a YT channel and gain a following! Just have to say that where you took your walk is so peaceful and made me miss being out in nature. 😊
Hello Jen - it is March of 2024 and I just had your link come up as a 'suggestion of interest' so have just now just 'found' you -- I too, live on V.I. but ion the southern part in a concrete jungle now, but my late husband and self used to do a lot of 'wilderness' camping so really enjoyed this walk with you - took me back in time. We loved camping during the salmon run so we could watch the black bears feeding on the Conuma River - seeing wolves, deer and elk as well. I miss the peace and tranquility and many scents that 'nature' can bring one. Thank you so much for sharing this and I hope you have done more like this for me to find as I go through your posts.
What a beautiful and giving heart you have. Thank you for sharing your journey to financial freedom through your videos. Going on to binge the rest of your vids 🎉
I came back to see your first video. I’m binge watching and wanted to come back and see how you started. Love the peaceful beauty around you and your sweet Skye companion.
I’ve just started a channel at the age 36 and I don’t know want to post about yet. Your story has sparked my creativity and got me excited to post more. Thank you for inspiring me ❤
I just found your video's and have been binge watching. This first one is my favorite! Thank you so much! The trees are magnificent and the nature walk was soothing.
@silverandsolo yeap...I found you and like you so gone back to the beginning...you could be a twin for one of my mums friends too...happy days from Edinburgh Scotland 🎉
Thank you for sharing the marvelous forest hike. I appreciate the quiet, no soundtrack, no running commentary . Just the healing sounds of gentle nature and footsteps and cowbells ;) just wondering if you read the old growth entrance poster? - a request that dogs be leashed to protect the critters of the forest, and the pup. A kind reminder be a responsible steward of the woods. While watching, it occurred to me that no matter how disheveled, haphazard, broken and piled up, messy nature gets, nothing looks out of place. It all belongs. Well done and thanks
How beautiful! I wouldn’t want to live there in winter, though. I just discovered your channel today (April 20th, 2024). Now you know that UA-cam’s recommendation algorithm is working for you. Cheers!
As soon as I read this is black bear country I said yeah nah? Nope nope nope. And I live in Australia 🇦🇺 😂 But I am so happy you popped up in my UA-cam feed. You are doing what I haven’t the courage to do. I am happily divorced and permanently single. I will binge your channel. Now. Good wishes to you.
Hope this comment isnt taken the wrong way its meant as a compliment. Think that when I am lying in bed and sleep wont come I will put this video on its so soothing and relaxing I am hoping it will relax my mind and help me drift off. Beautiful scenery.
Hi Jen. Congratulations on the success of your channel. I really like your first video. It’s a simple idea but the area is so beautiful that it was a pleasure to watch.
Hi, Jen, brand new subscriber here! I just wanted to see your first video and meet your dog! My goodness, it's beautiful there! Very majestic. Here in Texas I have to look out for snakes- you have to look out for bears? Scary! Ha! Your dog finally reemerged, too cute! Take care, Jen, enjoy your newish UA-cam channel and its great success!
I lived in Washington state for many years. Moved to Arizona in 2004. I was born here. Your video looks a lot like the forests around Olympia. Very beautiful area.
Thanks for the walk: a few years ago I'd have loved to do that for real. But I have chronic fatigue and these days it's a major effort to walk 10 steps to the bathroom!
Very relaxing walk with you and your gorgeous dog. More hash tags in the description might help people find your channel. I've found some people like the noise on some videos. ASMR
Hi, I just watched your “ how I monetize my UA-cam channel in 10 weeks” video and loved it. I am going to go back and watch all of your videos to support you.!! by the way that is a beautiful area you are walking in . I’m from Tennessee and we also have a lot of beautiful areas so I hope to share some of that on this channel at some point. Also, what a sweet, precious baby you have!
The Nature's power is so calming and energizing at the same time; any words would've been redundant...Didn't want the walk to end...Wonderful choice, Jen, hands down...
I do walking videos as well, but I talk and walk through my brain and thoughts when I tape it. Maybe some of this could also work. Love from Ohio, USA.
Thank you for inspiring us to start making yt videos. You make it seem so simple and enjoyable. While im watching your video, i want to laugh at the thought of how people in general, or at least I tend to overcomplicate tasks and life so much. xD
Hey Jen.. I just turned 60 n that's Senior Citizen in my land 😄.. Happy to find you.. your video on how you monetized in 10 weeks popped up in my feed & it went from there.. Congratulations to you.. will watch all of your videos one by one..Subbed too.. I am struggling with my channel though & it's really been too long.. Please pray for my channel to do well.. I so want it to.. just don't feel like giving up.. Your doggy is a munchkin.. love her 💕
Jen, you’ve made me feel so much more confident about uploading my first video so thank you 🙏🏼 It can feel so overwhelming trying to learn everything but you’ve proven it can be done! I guess the answer is, it’s okay to start small and basic. I look forward to watching your future videos 😊
I too want to join the club. I’m 42 years old and have desire to get monetized as well. I also want to learn everything about YouTubing like a professional. I enjoyed your video, it was so beautiful and pleasant. Thank you for being real. You are a genuine inspiration.
I live in England, so no bears. Think I'd have the heebie jeebies walking through those woods 😱. Most dangerous animal that we encounter on our walks is a bull 😂, and that's only if we are walking on a public footpath through farmers fields.
I just discovered this channel. Such a beautiful walk with a precious pup! I hope you have more nature and scenic videos. I like to watch calming, scenic driving videos. You live in the perfect place for those videos. 🇨🇦 is beautiful ❤️🤍
I have been following Jake and Nicole off-grid at Komorebi in the wilds at the north end of VI ... until they moved to HI, and now Kiki and Leon and their dog, Kira, are living there.
Laugh out loud. I just came to watch your first video after watching how you became monetized so quickly... And you have grown. You have grown. You have grown🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Hi, I'm from Algeria . I'm married and have kids.My life is full of people and noise.I hardly find a moment to live with myself.Tranquility is a good thing but I don't think I'll be able to live so lonely if put in such an environment. Hope you success and health.
I've watched a couple of your videos & subscribed - wondered where you're located and liked that you started videoing with your dog walk - so I found this video & learned you live where I really would love to live. I'm in N. Cali. I'm building up momentum in learning how to create a channel I can monetize. At 69, I want to be authentic and not fall into what so many people are doing using AI. Authenticity is an artform these days, and takes courage to come out of the private life and put it onto a channel. I've authored 2 books (the second one comes out on Tuesday) - and I need to expand my income and do something FUN that would be a pleasure to commit to. I think the Tube is my way to go. I too live in a beautiful rural area solo.
I just found your channel and really enjoyed your videos that came up on suggestion so I have subscribed and plan to start from the beginning of your you tube journey! Congratulations! 85k subscribers in a year!
Well here I am in the future May 2024- just watched your video on how you went viral and monetized in 11 weeks! Congratulations!! Wow you go girl! I’m your age. I am going to take your advise. For I’ve been a very lazy UA-camr LOL

Yes go for it! I am 73 and have 4 channels ( 4 because they each have different content ). I have a main channel that I concentrate on about canning, knitting and gardening. I love the authenticity of people! I clicked subscribe to be supportive although I may not be 100% interested in your content. I watched “how I monetized in 10 weeks” and then came here so see how it all started for you. I haven’t considered becoming a UA-camr but from that one video I just might. Congratulations and I hope I didn’t come across as rude, I’m just being honest. Peace & blessing 😊..

Hi from central Alberta. Found your channel yesterday and I think your content is wonderful. Thankyou😁
Awesome! Thank you!
Hey Jen. I just stumbled across your video on monetizing in 10 weeks and came back to the start of your playlist. Firstly, WOW! Vancouver Island. I love, love, love anything that has been filmed there. How lucky you are to live in such a beautiful location and be able to walk in such a wonderful spot (minus bear interaction of course). I was having a thought that may help some of your walk videos. In this one, you only spoke at the beginning and end, so the rest was just the sounds of you, your cute puppy and nature. As someone else said in the comments, this is super relaxing. I believe it may fall into the ASMR (Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response) category, which is very attractive to a lot of people. It might be worth a rename of some or all of your content like this to include the ASMR notation, and this may bring more traffic to these videos. You have such a beautiful location, I think it deserves to be viewed more. Something for you to look into anyway. I have just found these videos from Adventuremore (ua-cam.com/channels/CZQdTCvBcdNzuKIvIHx11A.html) and I'm loving them, so that's what made me think of it when I saw this video. Looking forward to viewing the rest of your content. Have a great day. Cheers.
What an amazing walk, no wonder you started off this way.. beautiful. Do you encounter bears every now and then ?
Yes, we've seen them but I'm sure they've seen us far more often!
Beautiful place to walk. Do you ever come upon other animals? You dog seems to wait for you to catch up. So cute!😀 Do you ever meet other walkers? It seems a bit isolated there.
We've met bears, deer, racoons, owls, eagles and other various critters...no cougars yet, thank goodness... We go on our morning walks quite early, so we rarely meet other people, but later in the morning it's becoming a popular place to walk your dog.
Lovely walk! If you are willing to share, I'd love to know more about your dog. Name, Age, Breed and the story of how you became family.
Yep, I answer FAQ's including about the pupper in this video: ua-cam.com/video/3w51Ffjm_1Y/v-deo.html
Gorgeous scenery!!! I am a new yt creator and I plan on watching more of your videos for tips. My first intro short was disastrous, but i left it up anyway. 😂
You got this!
Thanks for the encouragement!❤
Hi ! Saw your video from 2 months and thought I’d check out your very first video.
❤❤❤❤👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I am inspired with your video, I would like to hear a slight footsteps in the background and incorporate it with background music
This was my very first video! Subsequent dog walk videos have music!
Have you ever encountered a bear on your walks? Do you carry bear spray or a gun in case one decides to get feisty?
Hi, yes! I've seen bears on our walks, but you see that my dog wears a bell and I "do" usually carry spray. The bears here are shy and more than likely to run away or ignore us. They don't like barking dogs. I just don't want to surprise one, so the dog and I make lots of noise as we go!
@@silverandsolo How about protection against a psycho in the woods? I'm always the one to remind that such things happen. I watch too much real crime content. 🤣
How did you get the camera to be so steady?
This is my very first video, and I was just hand-holding it! Not sure how it's viewable, lol!
How can we know who subscribed to us..
You can see how many have subscribed in your UA-cam studio. It's found under the "More from UA-cam" section along the left side of your Home Page.
@@silverandsolo Thank you.
Just discovered your channel, I have an old friend who lives on Vancouver Is. so I was intrigued to look back at your dog walk. Nice woodland, but if bears are a concern for your dog, why not use a leash?
I have a leash...and take precautions, but generally, bears are not a concern.
