You know what I realized Only a select number of Imperial Officers were actually important to Palpatine's goals and therefore off limits to Vader the rest were more likely expendable decoys for the important ones.
This is also why the empire failed infighting between officers but no incentive to stay in the empire in past entry level especially if you had to deal with Vader you never knew if you're going to get killed by him or the emporer it was best to do your time as a Storm trooper then move to a office level position or for a company that contractor for empire to stay in the empire to me wouldn't be worth it

Why did Anakin never get in trouble for Force Choking people. In the ckone wars series he force chokes quite a few people but never gets in trouble or even causes concern among the council. Do they not know about it? Or do they just ignore it because he is "The Chosen One"?
Well, look at how the Jedi actually abused Anakin's tendencies and power in the Clone Wars. They acted all high and mighty, but the fact is, they often RELIED on Anakin to pull stunts that were ethically questionable for the rest of them. In fact, I think they treated him kind of like a Jedi version of an assassin/special forces operative, and were plenty glad to have him. He was very renowned as a war hero, and for them to put him on the council -thereby acknowledging to everyone else and Anakin's mind that they tacitly approved of his actions- without granting him the status of Jedi Master was them both trying to uphold their "code" and having a personal spat with Palpatine. They may have been the "good guys," but the Jedi invited their own demise by being too dogmatic and rigid. Had they acknowledged Anakin as a master, and been willing to make exceptions to the attachments rule -one of the Council was even married, if I recall right, because of his species' low birth rate- they could have staved off literally EVERY part of Palpatine's ambitions.
I like this as a demo of just how powerful Darth Vader is and how ruthless he's become. I find myself wanting more and more examples of what made him so feared by the time A New Hope arrived.

I think that Vader could have had a reasonably easy time finding the original two perpetrators, and using them as an example. With this in mind, remember that Palps said that Tarkin was off limits. Perhaps he was one of the perpetrators, and if Vader knew, use some of his favorite officers (his favorite because of obedience, strictness, etc.) I wonder if Vader could have used that as a way to get back at Tarkin while making it seem like the pick was random. What does anybody else think?

I wonder why it is perceived that somehow Vader was angry about Tarkin being protected directly by the Emperor. Vader had served with Tarkin during the Clone Wars and like with Yularen, Vader had respect for Tarkin. That may have changed after Scariff when Tarkin took over command but I think both realized the importance of the other. And there are subtle hints that Tarkin might have at least had a hunch on Vaders true identity.
