  • Time to park one of these bikes for the winter 😢 But deciding which one to put away is harder than I thought it would be!
The Dyna is so convenient and easy to hop on and just go, but the weather is prime for riding shovelhead riding! I suppose this is what we would call a “first world problem”. 🤔
And, anyone who want's to send me pictures of their bikes, you can email me at:
    redrider.canada.bc@gmail.com
    PLEASE SEND LARGE CLEAR PHOTOS!
1080p x 1080p is the MINIMUM we can work with, so please do your best at making sure your photos are large and not blurry 🙂 And send more than one if you can as well!
Only motorcycle related emails please - sorry, but I just don't have the time to engage in personal conversations.
    Thank you for your understanding.
If you DON'T want your bike highlighted in a future video showing viewers bikes then make sure to mention it in your email. Other than that, expect to see your bike in one of my videos!
If you would like my PO BOX address you can find it in the description to my channel by following this link:

Your comment about insurance in the States was misinformed, to a point. In the US, individual states have their own rules/laws concerning insurance. I think most states require some type of liability and injury insurance, but as I say, those regulations vary from state to state. Similar to helmet laws, some states have no helmet law, some states require helmets for riders under the age of 18 (or 21), some require helmets unless you have XXX dollars of personal injury insurance coverage, some states require helmets for all riders. It can sometimes be confusing to riders that travel from state to state, keeping up with individual state laws/regulations. Ride safe, enjoy your time on 2 wheels, and thanks for the videos.

Angel I hate to be the Dad here but you have got to slow down Young Lady. You follow too close and split traffic dangerously. But Van how can you say this ? Because I Love and Care for You! I want you on the roads riding safer. Nearly hitting that car should be your wake up call! We appreciate your videos but ignoring stop signs and rushing through traffic are not defensive riding techniques to stay alive. Please spend this winter considering; do you want to ride or ride a long time?
I've been there rushing through life and missing so much and nearly killing myself.
I'm glad you are making time to ride, i just beg of you to make the most by slowing down and enjoying the ride. Loki needs you as much as we do.

Hi 👋, Red Rider , thank you for sharing your ride out in the countryside, I’m not telling you what to do, please give the metal objects a bit more space, as you nearly had a Woopsie, could’ve been painful, and your bike will definitely need some repairs to it,
But I think we all have done it a moment of relapse , I remember once trying to get out of the way of an ambulance, I ended up nearly line my bike over, I was stationary, but I was trying to give the ambulance more room to get through traffic,
I don’t think Loki would like being in the cage , I think you’ll find it will make a lot of noise, like all of us being locked up in a cage,
Pumpkin Starbucks coffee latte , didn’t look, particularly appetising, I do like their normal lattes with soya milk, quite a few years ago I went to Chicago, for my sons wedding, in the winter time, I understand now why they call it windy city, I was very impressed Starbucks as there was one just outside the hotel that I was staying, they done a bread bun that they took the top off and filled with soup of your choice, it was very very Moorish, 😂 , looking forward to seeing the strip down, 😂, and fixing those nasty oil leaks, ride safe, catch you on the flipside as you say, 😂 Phil from the moulin,

Makes riding in the winter so much more bearable with it on. Insurance is required in South Carolina and I just bought another bike Saturday to add to my other two. A good ol' Kawasaki KLR 650. It's a used one an old friend had for sale. I couldn't pass it up. There's a lot of mountain dirt roads to ride! Yipee! I'm not a fan of sweet coffee. Dyna always gonna win. I mean, it has its pros and cons like everything in the world but the Dynas are lived for alot if reasons. Reliability is one. Specially if you do the upgrades for the compensator, timing chain guides depending on year and a little something with the camshaft endplay I think. @@ScottFree-dl1vy yes I saw where you stated that, I was just saying, for the people that didn't know, that her bike had an Evo engine and never had the twin cam problems, in my opinion the Evo engine is one of the most reliable engines made !! I've had Evo engines run way over a 100k miles on them without any major issues, you would be lucky to get that many miles on any other HD !! You really should check your cam chain tensioners, because that's about the mileage that the plastic material wears off, gets into the aluminum and destroys your engine !! Insurance is not optional in NY. I pay $114 per year for my '87 FXR. That covers collision, theft, liability, everything. I totaled it in 2000 just after putting a ton of money in to it. State Farm wanted to give me a fraction of that for it. I begged them to cover the repairs and not total it. They gave in and paid for everything. It's the only claim I've ever had. Take the tag off the dyna and put it on the shovel if you want to go on a ride most cops are too stupid to know the differnce

Every Mother has to face the truth sooner or later Red.. Maybe your little Crow has grown up and got himself a Girlfriend ('Crowfriend' ?.. 'Chick' ?..) or worse still, when he comes home it's the 'Flight of Shame' after a one night stand ?!!.. I restored a couple of British bike 'specials' with my late Dad, he sold one but he left me the other in his will and I still ride it now (but coincidentally it's off the road needing some work too !..) - I know your Dad helped a lot with the build of your Shovel so I think it's a 'keeper', there's such a lot of you both in the bike that I think you'd really regret selling it, or even just taking it off the road permanently.. I know the Dyna (Jonny Crash) will probably be more reliable and have a longer range on a tankful etc.. etc.. but it just isn't.. A Shovel ! - Ride Safe !..

It was great to see your reaction to the Pumpkin Spice. Coffee….Black, iced or hot. That’s the taste. Shovel hibernation is always tough. Mine should have Velcro for all the times I’ve taken it apart in the winter. Ride Safe Red. Thanks for making this video.

A few kilometers away from me there is a good convenience store where they sell great hot chocolate and hot dogs, I like to arrange dates there and while the hot chocolate cools down a little, I wipe the sweaty motorcycle with napkins from the oil ❤

@@RedRiderCanadaBC if you take your sprocket off your main shaft you will probably see 2 holes in the case where the shaft comes out, they are notorious for leaking oil, in the splines on the main shaft behind the sprocket, what I do is fill the splines on the shaft behind the sprocket with silicone and then put your sprocket on after, and that will seal it !! Hope that helps 😘✌

It seems to me that the wide glide is much smoother than the springer, only problem is, springers are so cool right? Just make sure you keep thar springer greased and check spring tension at least twice a season, because HD engines like to loosen things, and you don't want anything loose on a springer! I've lost dear freinds because they didn't check the forks often enough, I use locktite on the threads every time I work on em to save lives.
