You're right. They will never lose that bond. I have three hand fed budgies in my small flock of 10 and while they enjoy the other budgies, they are still all over me when out of the cage.
Oh yes, parrots are addicted to cables! Luckily your budgies are not that strong, but my Jardin's Parrots need just seconds to cut a data cable or to rip off the keys of my computer keyboard. It's really hard to work when they are around.

Dogs require much more dedication and care compared to budgies Although dogs necessity avil anywhere in the world, small birds like budgies are rare like an avionic vet even their treats like spray millet are not available in regular malls or markets unlike dogs or cats you can find anywhere At the end of the day it's your choice But be warned birds in general neither your cuddle friends nor your companion, they are just wild animals that means you may experience difficulties traveling cuz airlines do not allow birds unlike dogs or cats
@@urandurparthu1526 birds can be just as friendly and affectionate as dogs/cats, budgies are harder because people don't imprint them as commonly than larger parrots. hand tame cockatiels are common on pet selling groups in facebook, budgies are harder to hand tame because of their size. also birds like pigeons or chickens are domesticated like dogs are cats, pigeons are the oldest domesticated birds and have a wide variety of breeds like dogs and cats and they make good house pets (they are clingy once hand tamed however)
My hand raised budgies seek out my company even though they are with other budgies. They are very bonded to me and I spend several hours a day hanging out with them. They fly over and walk all over my head, shoulders, arms and hands. I've never had a dog bit people say my budgies are like flying puppies
How did you keep their facial feathers from getting formula all over them? It's been a real struggle with the baby I'm handraising, now 6 weeks old. I wipe his face after feeding, but some got trapped in his feathers and dried like concrete so I had to trim them and he looks pretty ratty.
Hi Alen My 15-18 days old budgies are jumping out of their nesting box. They aren't on self feed so I keep them again inside the box. I would like to know why they are doing this thing. Should I be concerned? and I tried to hand feed them but they are not opening their mouth.
@@aliphytophile I had a breeding pair raising families in a large cage with three other budgies present and they never bothered the babies when they climbed out of the nestbox. Keep an eye on them just in case but they are unlikely to bother them. If they do, remove the other pair to their own cage. It's hard sometimes to get parent raised babies a couple weeks old to accept handfeeding by humans unless they are very hungry and their parents are not feeding them.

I love them budgies. I also have 2 budgie. 1 of my budgie died last Saturday and me n my hubby and kids cried for that a lot. I still miss Niko alot.

It is normal for baby budgies to start exploring their surroundings as they get older. If parents are keeping them fed there is no need you to.
@alenaxp problem is there are 2 pairs in the same cage. And the other pair might beat them that's the concern I have.
