You're very knowledgeable for your age. Everything you noticed was spot on and correct. I've watched dozens (seriously) of reactions to this song and you're the only one to mention the drummers' ghost notes. As an old metal head from the beginning of the genre you've impressed me. That was the first time I've subscribed to any channel on the very first listen. Good job!
I recommend a singer called Diana Navarro. With the song "El perdón" she is very versatile and sings different styles of music with incredible melismas. And with a very personal voice.
Excellent technical insights - very enjoyable. Liked & subbed. If you want more Jinjer, "Teacher, teacher" shows of a broader range of vocals. It's a fair bit heavier than "Pisces" though. "Judgement (& Punishment) live one take vocal performance" gives a good up-close view of Tatiana for a whole track (good track too).
And that's why I love your reaction! one of the few voice teacher that explain the growl very well and simple, many not only didn't know anything about it buy they said that she used some sort of effect/distortion and that make me so mad... I'm a fan of Tatiana, hoping she's fine since she's ukranian. you also always take note of the music and the musician skills, I love it
Nice analysis of Tatiana's growling, as well as her singing. I think both are beautiful. My current favorite Jinjer track is Teacher, Teacher, but I think Judgement & Punishment is a great video for a vocal coach, since it's a one-take recording with Tatiana and a mic. For a bit of variety with every bit of the wow factor and musicality of Jinjer, may I recommend Angelina Jordan's cover of I Put A Spell On You, particularly the black & white video version. She has some chops, having sung her way to the Norway's Got Talent championship at age 8.
As a music/voice teacher Judgment & Punishment one take would be good next. Shows just her and what her head, neck, and shoulders do when she does cleans and growls
I don’t know if you do “classic” performances but an interesting one from a vocal perspective is Deep Purple’s 1970 live performance on TV of “Child in Time”. Five very talented musicians at their peak but Ian Gillian’s vocal performance is impressive. Even if you don’t react to it I think you would enjoy watching it.
Jinjer and Tatiana are great aren't they! Like you, I was upset it took me so long to discover them. Lots of great stuff to listen to from them. Then move on to a similar band, Spiritbox with their vocalist Courtney. They're new one, "Circle With Me" is awesome. And there's an undiscovered European band called Morphide with a great song, "Panopticon."
Brent: You can faintly hear, she has a lot of space. Me: You have NO IDEA! ....... Brent: Going into full technical explanation of how she is doing this. Me: Okay, maybe you do have a good idea. You facial reactions was still pretty good. Edited in real time.
I've been a musician in various musical genres (funk, soul, rock, acid jazz ...) for over 40 years, but in my musical life I've rarely seen such a talented band as Jinjer, including Tati's lyrics !!!!! This band do their own thing................................ maybe next: JINJER - Judgement (& Punishment) - Tatiana Shmayluk - One Take Vocal Performance or: JINJER - Home Back (Official Video or: JINJER - Teacher, Teacher! (Official Video) or: JINJER - On The Top (Live in Kiev) or....................................................................................................... many greetings from germany and thanx for your competent reaction and stay safe
Great reaction to this iconic piece of musical art. I've seen dozens and dozens of reaction videos to Jinjer - Pisces, but your explanation of her voice technique is one of the best - if not THE BEST - I've encountered.
It's nice to see people who understand music appreciate metal. A lot of folks discount it as "demonic", but there really are so many underrated metal bands out there with loads of pure talent, Jinger being just one of many examples.
Who Is Going To Be The One… an amazing live performance by Jinjer. My favorite of theirs. Also, ‘Teacher, Teacher’… another amazing song where they use live footage from a couple of different shows on top of the studio recording. So much fun.
Very good reaction. To see the excellent musicianship of the band I would suggest Teacher Teacher (Napalm Records) or "Who is going to be the One" (live, Napalm Records) To see them perform at their best watch "Perennial" (live at Wacken). I would suggest Googling the lyrics; Tatiana's written work is quite good.
I have seen a previous video of your's watching Nightwish. The singer Floor joins up with another symphonic metal band called Epica and does a duet with their lead singer. The guitarist and Floor where in a band together before. I have read the Simone was a student of Floor at one stage & they also shared an apartment(but you can't always believe what some people say). They turned Simone's mic up & turned Floors down for the performance, plus Simone was also 3 months pregnant and it was late in the concert. FOr something totally different, check out a Mongolian bad called The Hu(Wolf Totem), they play tradition instruments and sing in tradition voices, but add a metal sound to it(turn on captions to understand what they are singing)
Welcome to the Jinjer - Family!!! Don´t forget "Home Back", it´s another impressive Song ! The Pictures fits Word for Word to the Lyrics! Greetings from Germany🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
Great reaction. I enjoyed your analysis of Tatiana's vocals and appreciation of her range. The whole band is awesome and you really can't go wrong with their videos. Teacher, Teacher and Judgement (and Punishment) one-take vocal performance are great choices. Liked and subbed.
Wow! Dude your technical break down was awesome! Welcome to the family brother! Perennial Live, and Judgement and Punishment one take are your next destinations!
Tatiana showing off her cleans & belting, listen to an older Jinjer song called "I Speak Astronomy"... Watch the original music video, make sure to let it play til the end! Thank me later...😏😁
Instantly subscribed because your normal :) but still funny and you explained things that happen really nicely and you even showed more that the others. Nice to see you and hope you get more followers.
This angel is one of the best singers on our planet. Do not believe me? Look what other reactionaries, who have already made almost 7 thousand reactions (check my playlist). I invite you to discover this wonderful talented young singer. Please make reaction to Diana Ankudinova - (rarest contralto with polyphonic overtones) I was stunned to find that the first performance (Show "You are Super") I heard was when she was 14!!!! She's now 18 and still developing. She sings in Russian, French, English, Spain and Arabic. The covers she performed on that show are very popular on UA-cam. Many UA-camrs publish reactions on these performances, which include the ethnic song "River" (in a new musical arrangement), "Blizzard", "Wicked Game", "Human", "Derniere Danse", "Take On Me" and others. Please react to one of Diana's songs and I promise she will surprise you.
As a voice teacher, you might want to watch the single take version of "Judgement and Punishment". There are too many ways to go after that. Maybe "Pit of Consciousness", live in Kiev. "Perennial" live at Wacken, and the live version of "Who is gonna be the one?".
Sorry for the long comment, I just love Jinjer too much! Great reaction, I love hearing musicians and music/voice teachers responding to Jinjer! Subbed and thank you for bringing them to more people! For most of their songs, the three guys write most of the instrument music, then Tatiana writes most of the lyrics and melodies. Roman the guitarist has written a lot of the instrument music in the past, but I heard that Vlad the drummer wrote more or most of it for the album about to drop (the first video from the new album on June 17th). I'm not sure how much Eugene composes, but I know that apart from his amazing work on the bass, he adds riffs and writes some of the lyrics. The band (all members have been Ukrainian, with Russian their first language) started in eastern Ukraine in 2009 as a group of five with none of the current members (they consider the official start of the band as 2010 when Tatiana and replaced the male vocalist and Roman joined as lead guitar), Vlad is the fifth drummer (joined in 2016) and it's been a group of four since 2015 (though they consider their sound engineer a fifth member). I think they're still friends with all the former members. One of the things I love most about Jinjer is the messages in Tatiana's lyrics and the growling being so powerful for expressing the anger and pain in those messages: the anti-war message in Home Back, the anti-greed in On The Top and No Hoard Of Value (also the horror of the coal mining industry in their home Ukraine), the protest song Who Is Gonna Be The One, the anti-fascism of Sit Stay Roll Over, the anger at people being narrow minded in Teacher Teacher and Judgment & Punishment, the struggles with mental health in Pit Of Consciousness and Perennial, the giving voice to mother nature angry at humanity for destroying her in a bunch of songs like Ape, The Prophecy, Cloud Factory, Noah and Bad Water. Other favorites are I Speak Astronomy, Retrospection, Words of Wisdom, Just Another, Captain Clock, Scissors, Outlander, Exposed As A Liar, I Want It I'll Get It, A Plus Or A Minus, Dip A Sail, When Two Empires Collide, Beggar's Dance and lainnereP. I haven't found a Jinjer song I don't love, so I think you can't go wrong if you choose any of them, but a few good choices might be Perennial (live at Wacken), Judgement & Punishment (Tatiana's one take performance), Pit of Consciousness (live in Kiev/Kyiv) or the heartwrenching plea against war in Home Back (official video). Enjoy! ❤🤘
" I didn't know she add it in her " . My friend ,Tati have it in her + 3 demon , 2 sweet girls and a Mother freaking beast . All this backed up by 3 Genius Musician .
Welcome to JINJER!! Please continue on with your JINJER journey. Try (PERENNIAL)live in wacken 209 & (WHO IS GOING TO BE THE ONE) live. Also there is (RETROSPECTION) official video & (CAPTAIN CLOCK) live at resurrection fest. Maybe even do some old school stuff like (OUTLANDER) official video & (SCISSORS) official video. When your done with these videos then your ready for (THE PROPHECY) official video. Thank you!! ENJOY!!!!!
They are metal but incorporate many other genres into their music. You might react to Tatianas one take vocal performance of their song Judgment and Punishment. The band is amazing Pit of Consciousness live Kiev in front of their fellow Ukrainians is also excellent
I agree with Perennial Live at Wacken next and Judgement and Punishment (One Take) after that... BTW... here's an interview Tatiana did with Loudwire discussing how she developed her technique... ua-cam.com/video/UBrqWYMBm60/v-deo.html
Really like your technical explanation how to growl (and good growl by you ;) ). Because most of reactors just do as they where totaaaaaally shocked xD
Two other great bands/artists to react to would be Unleash the Archers "Awakening" the studio video version to also see the band doing some wonderous work and Devin Towsend "Kingdom" for EMGTV so you can just focus on him and his vocal transitions.
2 suggestions: Unleash the Archers (Canadian Power Metal) and Eluveitie (Swiss Folk Metal). I‘m never good with song suggestions cause there are just too many to choose from but if limited to their latest albums I would suggest „ Legacy“ for Unleash the Archers and „Rebirth“ for Eluveitie
Jinjer Jundment and Punishment is amazing she throws in a Regae vibe its really cool. But you have to do the "one take" version not the official video!
I'm torn. I don't know which live to request for you next. Perennial (Live at Wacken Open Air 2019), Judgement (& Punishment) - Tatiana Shmayluk - One Take Vocal Performance or Who is Gonna Be The One (Live)..... oh just do them all and then for the icing on the cake react to On The Top (Live in Kiev) 😁😁😁😁😁😁
Hello, I know a singer who can surprise you with her voice. Her name is Diana Ankudinova, a young artist with stunning covers of the famous songs "Wicked game", "Human", "Take on me", which amaze not only ordinary viewers, but also other singers. She also performs her own songs.
This is Jinjer at about a 4 on how brutal that they can be. Also please make sure you dive into the lyrics. Tatiana really weaves alot of meaning into the lyrics.
I highly recommend reacting to Tonight We Ride by Unleash The Archers link: ua-cam.com/video/UOvZKJlrtk8/v-deo.html Brittney Slayes uses different style of singing than Tatiana from Jinjer. She doesn't growl, but she uses mainly chest, belt, and mixed belt. Her lows are super resonant, and she brings power all the way up to an A5 mixed belt that will split the earth in half haha.
Surprise, again. Not by Tatiana, I know her and Jinjer. You are not the first reaction of "Pisces" I´m listening to, obviously. But, again, you told me something new, about singing technics and about Tatiana`s growlings. You ARE an expert, you proved it in your reaction. Fine that you are a new fan as well. Trust me (a non-expert but anyway), you won`t be disappointed: "Jinjer is not capable of making bad songs" (not my quote but one made by several others. 😁👍 You might like, oh, simply read the other`s recommendations, they are right! 🤘
You could try to react to other female lead vocalists in "extreme" music, with different styles : Caro Tanghe from Oathbreaker is incredible ("10,56/Second Son of R."). Pure emotions. Tanya Beickert from Monochromatic Black (maybe "Phosphenes" or "The Herd" But more surely the almighty Julie Christmas, one of the most creative singers out there. Try out to see her live with Culf of Luna in the video "Mariner live at De Kreun", with the timecode 17,25.
"Perennial" by Jinjer - a very good live performance: ua-cam.com/video/bxi3i9wzQBk/v-deo.html 👍 As for other artists, I'd like to recommend one that is criminally under-reacted to: Asaf Avidan. He's a multi-instrumentalist, singer songwriter. I'd recommend his song "Her Lies", a live solo performance: ua-cam.com/video/Fo-qNzexDWE/v-deo.html
Rammstein is the next step - no doubt! Rammstein with the song Du Hast, live in Paris. Then move on to Engel from Madison Square Gareden and as a third go for Mein Teil, live from Hurricane Festival. Trust me, it will be a huge boost to the channel and they have a dedicated fan base (me included).
I saw her live, she is amazing, great great concert
Teacher Teacher.... She will growl one word out of a phrase. It's incredible.
You have now officially been Jinjererd! Very good reaction. And welcome to #jinjerarmy!
"Judgement (and Punishment)" is another good Jinjer song.
All Jinjer songs are excellent. One of the best bands in a long time.
Good job!
Tatiana is a self taught goddess! She is incredibly talented and her stage presence live was other worldly
Perennial live in Wacken!!! Next one by jinjer
I think the best next is Who is Gonna Be the One
Or Judgement and Punishment (one shot take)….. honestly any of these would be great…Tatiana is a badass.(All of them are bad asses)
I recommend a singer called Diana Navarro. With the song "El perdón" she is very versatile and sings different styles of music with incredible melismas. And with a very personal voice.
The #1 reaction song on UA-cam.
Everyone in Jinjer is just a master at what they do.
Great video btw. You cought a lot of the subtle stuff going on in this song. Easily more than most people have. Two thumbs up!
Actually the first vocal teacher to explain all that as far as I've seen
Check out The Fairy Voice Mother's reaction too. ua-cam.com/video/qWUUrdQfjn8/v-deo.html
Excellent technical insights - very enjoyable. Liked & subbed.
If you want more Jinjer, "Teacher, teacher" shows of a broader range of vocals. It's a fair bit heavier than "Pisces" though.

Good ear, you got the in 7, a minor quicker than anyone.
Fun reaction! Check out Perennial live at Wacken next.
Tatiana is a true master of her craft. Not really my type of music but I absolutely respect the talent and hard work on display here.
Tatiana is a talented beast! Welcome to the Jinjer rabbit hole. Enjoy.
I have seen alot of reactions to this song and band, and you by far had the best explanation of how she does it. Great job!
Jinjer and Tatiana are great aren't they! Like you, I was upset it took me so long to discover them. Lots of great stuff to listen to from them. Great breakdown for this song. She is a vocal beast and the band is amazing.
Dude, sent this way watching Jinjer reactions but damn you have good analysis. Keep it up!
Brent: You can faintly hear, she has a lot of space.
Me: You have NO IDEA!
.......
Brent: Going into full technical explanation of how she is doing this.
Me: Okay, maybe you do have a good idea. You facial reactions was still pretty good.

Jinjer Vortex…..its quite amazing! Cheers
"I Speak Astronomy" will show you Tatiana's range. ;)

One of my fav bands. Pisces was my Jinjer gateway as well, and I am glad I found them. Special band, IMO.
Welcome to the Jinjer - Family!!! Don´t forget "Home Back", it´s another impressive Song ! The Pictures fits Word for Word to the Lyrics! Greetings from Germany🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
OMG VORTEX video just landed, they just get better. All at top of the game again
I loved the way you explained the mechanics of how she did that fun and fascinating performance!
Truly special and talented band, the four of them! Try "Perennial" live at Wacken 2019 to see all this and more on stage. Cheers.
My daughter just got me into Jinger!! Aren’t they fabulous!!???
Jinjer is the best metal (any other music as well) band in a long time. Tatiana and the entire band are absolute beasts.
gained a sub, one of the better breakdowns I've watched.

Yup, welcome, try Teacher, teacher
Jinjer is the band name.....she's Tatiana.....5 feet, 2 inches, and 105 pounds of sheer power......
Just subbed. Love this band. Great vids man! Keep it up.

Yeah. Not 1 bad song at all.
Great reaction. Subbed.
pretty cool reaction
Nice reaction mate. You might want to do "Who is gonna be the one? (live)" to see them live.

Jinjer Jundment and Punishment is amazing she throws in a Regae vibe its really cool. But you have to do the "one take" version not the official video!
If you're into the unexpected, Beast In Black is another good band to look at. Try Blind and Frozen by them.
welcome to the hypetrain!

You might like, oh, simply read the other`s recommendations, they are right!
🤘
You could try to react to other female lead vocalists in "extreme" music, with different styles : Caro Tanghe from Oathbreaker is incredible ("10,56/Second Son of R."). Pure emotions.
Tanya Beickert from Monochromatic Black (maybe "Phosphenes" or "The Herd"
But more surely the almighty Julie Christmas, one of the most creative singers out there. Try out to see her live with Culf of Luna in the video "Mariner live at De Kreun", with the timecode 17,25.
"Perennial" by Jinjer - a very good live performance: ua-cam.com/video/bxi3i9wzQBk/v-deo.html 👍
As for other artists, I'd like to recommend one that is criminally under-reacted to: Asaf Avidan. He's a multi-instrumentalist, singer songwriter. I'd recommend his song "Her Lies", a live solo performance: ua-cam.com/video/Fo-qNzexDWE/v-deo.html
Lmao they just came out with a new song
"Nice low notes".....I always love seeing a Jinjer first timer
Dont attempt this he says....not knowing Tati is self taught after hearing Otep.
Pit of Consciousness - live in kiev :)
Perennial live in Wacken pleeeeeaaseee
“ok 8)”
Not to be a cliche or anything, but - "Demolisher" or "Baba Yaga" by Slaughter to Prevail would be interesting to see you analyse :D
just get in..i want you to look into Phill Anselmo(Pantera) and i do like the way how you do this things....
