It's kinda funny, Pokemon continues to do tins like this with a promo at the front of the tin, but Yu-Gi-Oh moved away from them. I'd really love if we'd get tins like this again, like a February/March release compared to the August/September Mega Tin release. Favorite one though has to be Cyber Dragon!
The loss of those things is likely the result of cost cutting. Solid pieces with no plastic cut outs etc. would cost less to mass produce. Pokémon is somehow - despite spitting in everyone's faces constantly - still a nearly 100 billion dollar franchise. TPC could buy YGO for twice it's value and would still have so much money left they would continue to be nearly 20 spots higher than Yu-Gi-Oh is on the list of top earning franchises (it would move from 1 to 6 and Yu-Gi-Oh is barely top 25). And since 2020 the quality control here is going down with every release so they have more things to worry about than the stupid packaging at this point.
Maaaaaaaaan, 2006 was the peak of Yugioh in my school, my friend got a Uria tin, so playboy. We barely could buy packs at the time and the dude buys a tin. Thanks for the memories, bro GLHF
Left my cards at the side so many years but since I found your channel the feelings that I had for this game came again. Seeing you open the packs bring out so many memories, I have to feel that sensation again! (: . Thank you so much for your work! and answering your question my favourite tin is the Uria I just cant see anything similar to Slifer! :P
Favourite tin, was definitely between the Elemental Hero Neos tin and the Elemental Hero Shining Flare Wingman tin, love everything to do with Elemental Heros tbh
The neos tin is a killer!! I remember when I was a kid and used to get Kaiba and yugi decks and play with them until they fell apart, even though they hold such a high value now they’ll always be worth more than money to me ♥️
Man it hurts to see the not so great pulls from these GX tins 😭 it makes them not quite as worth opening as 5DS tins, since those have 1st Ed packs from rarer sets. But my fav 2006 tin has to be Neos as it was the only one I had from my childhood! Thanks for doing this opening so we can feel the nostalgia!
I also hated those tins because the terrible pulls you got. Had Cyber Dragon's and Hamon's ones and never got a single foil. Just a treeborn frog or something.
@@JulioLenin88 I bought the Flare Wingman and Neos ones back in the day. I got pretty shit pulls other then cyber barrier dragon and some neo-spacian card. Might have gotten skyscraper but can't remember. The best tin I ever got was the rocket warrior tin and the dark magician girl tin's that came out in 2005 or so, I can't remember. I actually pulled an ultimate rare out of those, it was Fusilier Dragon, the Dual-Mode Beast. Not a very expensive card but was still cool to get imo.
Neos and cyber dragon were the only 2006 tins I knew about. Cyber dragon is definitely my favourite one although every single one of these seems hype in terms of promos
So nostalgic for me, these were the first tins I ever opened back in 6th grade. I only opened 5 of the tins (missing Neos), but my favorite back then was Raviel since it was the first tin I ever opened. Also realized how lucky I was back then with my pulls, roughly 3 ultimates, 1 ultra, and maybe 3 supers.
The Lord of Searing Flames was always my fave growing up. I remember watching the Yu-Gi-Oh anime on TV when they had the duelist kingdom and seeing Slypher the Sky Dragon. Lord of searing flames always reminded me of that, so seeing this tin again has given me such a trip!
The much anticipated 2006 Tin Opening! Crongrats on 90k, told you I'd be seeing you at 100k soon when you started the grind!! Your content is exactly what I look for when searching Yu-Gi-Oh content on UA-cam. My Favorite Tin is Cyber Dragon since I had just pulled a 1st Edition CRV Cyber End Dragon. It was my only copy of cyber dragon unfortunately. Classic With the Enemy of Justice days
Man these bring back so many memories. I definitely would have to say my favorite 2006 tin was elemental hero shining wingman! It’s just such a beautiful card🤤🙌🏼
My favorite is the Cyber Dragon's too. I don't like Elemental Heroes very much and I've never been a huge fan of Sacred Beasts, they always looked like Egyptian Gods bootlegs to me
I have to go with the URIA tin, I quit yugioh way back in the day and never got to go past beyond the original anime everything after that is new to me. But gotta say URIA is a beautiful card 👌🏼. You’re vídeos got me back in to yugioh and I’m starting to collect once again, I got some catching up to do and you make some informative videos, thank you RUXIN, the yugioh community thanks you for you’re service hahah!
Man i swear you brought back my childhood Raviel Uriah Hamon but i loved Cybernetic Revolution and all the fusions goddamn Cyberdragon, Tempest it was so much better than todays cards i remeber walking everday after school in the lil store where i hang out for countless hours buy packs and trade cards until im sadisfied
these tins were interesting. I remember opening all of these but I never had any like nostalgia for em. The 2007 (mostly the pegasus one) and 2008 tins (synchros are still the goat mechanic to me) is where my nostalgia starts to flood in anyway, my favorite tin is the Cyber Dragon one. I was huge on machine decks for like all of my yugioh life back then. Machines were my favorite deck until Zombies got really fun around the time Plaguespreader game out
neos was my go to loved that whole story line. cool seeing the kings knight being pulled just started getting into yugioh and love seeing the cards from my childhood
I remember seeing the Cyber Dragon tin at Walmart and sneaking it on the line at the register lol. I think my dad actually liked the look (kind of an 80s retro cyber-style) and didn't make me put it back. One of my favourite tins of all time.
My favorite was the Uria Tin and promo card. The Uria's name was super off centered which made it cooler and who doesn't like a card that looks like Slifer. Awesome nostalgic video Ruxin!
I remember using my yugioh tins as pencil boxes because I would put ALL of my cards on binders. I had like different binders for different rarities and had them in alphabetical order. The cyber dragon was definitely my favorite tin.
Tasty opening. GX sets and Tins are just GOAT. My fav from this wave is Cyber Dragon. Can’t wait for the 2007 line up. Sick af. Rainbow Dragon Volcanic Doomfire Sapphire Pegasus E Hero Plasma Vice D Hero Plasma Grand Neos
Cyber Dragon all the way ... cus it's good cyber dragon and that card was game defining, still is an awesome card and that symmetrical artwork is just way too dope
Mine has to be Hamon, lord of striking thunder! It was the first ever tin I got and it makes it even more special that Santa Claus brought it to me 🤣 I got it for Christmas that year and I was ecstatic. Love the videos dude, keep it up :)
My favorite 2016 is the elemental hero Neos! I’ve been the biggest Neos fan since their release! Takes me back to my childhood, and is such a fun archetype to play!
I’m a huge fan of the raviel tin! I just think it was the most effective take on “Egyptian gods but bad” that they were trying to accomplish with the sacred beasts
the Uria tin is 100% my fav. as a kid i thought it was like Slifer's brother or a related monster because they looked similar lol and always loved the design. i'd love to buy these tins some day and have my own openings
One of my first major online purchases with my own money as a child were the Cyber Dragon, Neos and Raviel tins. Ironically, the Cyber Dragon tin I was able to pull a Cyber Dragon super and a Cyber Twin super. Best tin I’ve ever opened 👍🏻
Id have to go with the cyber dragon tin as my favorite. When I was a kid I was wanting to build all decks a i built one around the cyber dragon and it was pretty good
Elemental hero shining flare wingman was such a boss tin!! Cyber dragon a close second though!! Awesome video i remember begging moms for the shining flare tin!!
my favorite 2006 tin was uria lord of searing flames. it was the first yugioh original product i get in christmas 2006. i remeber as a very nostalgic expierience.
I like the gods cards more, but unfortunately I gotta go with sacred beast for one reason, they were playable the soonest. Not only that, they had decent when they came out. My favorite being hamon because I loved in legacy of the duelist using a crystal beast hamon deck as the dead crystal beast counted as continuous spells for his tribute summon and depending, you could have a near impenetrable board with the rainbow coliseum, then once you are ready, cycle through a bunch of summons with the pegasus, and summon like 2 hamons and a rainbow dragon in one turn. Not the most consistent, but fun as hell. Favorite tin would prob be cyber drag tho, so many games won turn one in school because of that special summon.
The Cyber Dragon Tin is my favourite, too. This card reminds me of playing Yu-Gi-Oh! with the boys in the street and making up new rules for every duel 😄
Cyber dragon was my favorite too! Unfortunately I don't remember getting any of these tins though :/ may have been a time where I temporarily quit yugioh lol
My favourite tin has to Raviel the lord of phantasms tin, I remember as a kid begging my dad to get me one and the excitement as I ripped it open in the back of the car on the way home, love your nostalgic videos ruxin
Cyber Dragon Tin deff was my favorite one! I wish they still made the tins like this with the 6 different promos. I remember getting these for Christmas that year. 2007 Tins up next!!
My favorite got to be the Raviel tin, amazing artwork and remember getting one when my dad picked me up from boy scouts summer camp. Amazingly kept all the cards in decent condition. This was an amazing trip down memory lane!
Cyber dragon is solid but all I remember from the anime is Jaden crushing it with Flare Wingman and when Shining Flare Wingman was introduced it was the card I first chased as a kid with my older brother.
Such a good throwback vide, my favorite pull is the Skyscraper just because I remember it the most when Jaden played it at the beginning of Gx haha, awesome video all around, cant wait for saturday tho!
Elemental Hero Neos is my favorite of these tins currently, but back in the day it was Elemental Hero Shining Flare Wingman. I’ve always been a hero fan but I will admit cyber dragon is an awesome card and archetype
It has to be the neos tin for me. I remember being a 5 year old kid when these tins dropped and unfortunately I never ended up opening one :( awesome vid man! Keep up the good work!
My favorite tin is definitely the Elemental Hero Neos tin, it's the best looking Neos imo since he doesnt have a lot of rarities and the colors are beautiful.
My favorite would be sacred beast tins, it really gives me the nostalgia of being a kid again. tha feeling you have a sacred beast back then everyone would go crazy
My favorite tin is cyber dragon but not because of I remember it, heck I would only be one but because I recently started buying cards for my self and the first deck I bought/still making is cyber dragons
bruh you are opening my childhood in this video :(. the neos tin was a beauty to behold for me back in the day, especially cause GX was my fav seasson :D
i remember at the cyber dragon tin wave my local shop had atleast 500 boxes of raviel and neos left bec they just sold the cyber dragons and opened the other tins sold the packs etc. of.At some point i drove of like 40 kmh with my dad and went to a lesser known shop to get 3 cyber dragons and it was like the happiest day of that year for me still love looking back to the days where i played with my 2 buddys in school until the day tele dad destroyed yugioh for every child with less then 1000 € to spend on cardboard^^
Cyber dragon hands down, iconic and meta defining. Plus cybernetic rev was my last release before my local store Kings Comics closed which started my 16yr break.
the gx era was always my favorite series of yu-gi-oh and being a big hero fan shining flamewingman is just so nostalgic from my childhood so gotta say thts my favorite.
I like the idea too but the thing is cards would get damaged or warped for being in there too long maybe that’s why they stopped? 🤷♂️
I do love the window!!
It would be a decent way to get unlimited prints of the last few sets since we don’t get Special Editions anymore
Not only the tins, the premade decks too
The loss of those things is likely the result of cost cutting.
Solid pieces with no plastic cut outs etc. would cost less to mass produce.
Pokémon is somehow - despite spitting in everyone's faces constantly - still a nearly 100 billion dollar franchise. Favourite tin, was definitely between the Elemental Hero Neos tin and the Elemental Hero Shining Flare Wingman tin, love everything to do with Elemental Heros tbh
2006 is definitely the Neos tin, just a staple of the YU-GI-OH franchise!
The cyber dragon is hands down the best tin. Back in the day buy 3 of those and you have a pretty solid start to a deck.
The neos tin is a killer!! I remember when I was a kid and used to get Kaiba and yugi decks and play with them until they fell apart, even though they hold such a high value now they’ll always be worth more than money to me ♥️
The Ohka was my favorite card from my childhood! so nostalgic ♡
It was one of mine too. I have always loved the artwork of the Majestic Mech cards. :D
Nice 👍
Hamon was my favorite, Uria was my brother's, and Raviel was my dad's back in the day. Good memories from seeing all these tins opened again. 😭
I love the Cyber Dragon tin, but the Elemental Hero Neos is pretty insane! That secret rare Neos is pretty sharp.
Man it hurts to see the not so great pulls from these GX tins 😭 it makes them not quite as worth opening as 5DS tins, since those have 1st Ed packs from rarer sets. The nostalgia is real though

When depression hits hard but Ruxin is there to cheer you up with another great Vid
Relatable 😢
I just broke up with my girl yesterday. Don’t worry bro, we’re all gonna make it.
@@garsleezy Sorry to hear that, one of my problems as well
Loved the 2006 era of Yugioh, my favorite has to be Shining Flare Wingman. I still have the card from when I opened the tin 15+ years ago!!!
The first season of GX was fire. After that I couldn’t make it past season 2
season 3 is good
Love these tins openings! That box would be insane to get, imagine there's a starlight stardust inside! haha
Cyber dragon is just a fantastic tin to watch. Such a yugioh defining card.

Thanks for putting Mako’s theme in the background man. He was always my favorite char in the whole series.
My favorite is the Cyber Dragon's too. I don't like Elemental Heroes very much and I've never been a huge fan of Sacred Beasts, they always looked like Egyptian Gods bootlegs to me
I watched Yugioh GX as kid and ever since I been addicted to elemental HERO cards.
My favorite tin is by far cyber dragon. Such nostalgia from when I used to play TCG. I also love how good cyber dragon is in duel links!

i miss tins man. some of my best memories as a kid is admiring all the cool tins in malls and stuff and opening tins for christmas
these tins were interesting. I remember opening all of these but I never had any like nostalgia for em. The 2007 (mostly the pegasus one) and 2008 tins (synchros are still the goat mechanic to me) is where my nostalgia starts to flood in

My favorite Tin is the shining flame wingman. I am a big fan out the hero archetype and it was the deck that I played getting back into the game.
Cyber dragon is solid but all I remember from the anime is Jaden crushing it with Flare Wingman and when Shining Flare Wingman was introduced it was the card I first chased as a kid with my older brother.
Neos is my favourite tin, by far. He's actually one of my most favourite monsters of the GX era.
Oh my what a fucking throwback. That Elemental Hero Neos is so nostalgic to me from watching GX back in the day. Keep the content up, Ruxin!
Such a good throwback vide, my favorite pull is the Skyscraper just because I remember it the most when Jaden played it at the beginning of Gx haha, awesome video all around, cant wait for saturday tho!
