I don't know the back history behind ATBBQ or this guy but I have to say the video quality and editing is TOP NOTCH. And this Chef is INCREDIBLE! He is a maestro in smoking, barbecuing and now, making perfect chicken burgers. This was great! Cannot wait to try out this recipe.
Made this tonight on brioche and used kewpie mayo instead of ranch and was totally blown away with how good this burger is. I have never had a better chicken burger. Amazing!
Finally allowed to have some friends over here in Australia as restrictions are slowly lifting! I made these for our guests and they were a hit!! Great recipe guys.👍👍
There is something about chicken burgers, chicken always makes you think like you are eating something healthy so you dont feel guilty 😀 You can eat 2 buckets of french fries and you will still think, yes but it was chicken 😂
Holy buckets Tom those looked absolutely amazing. I know what I'm having for supper tonight, and I'm not gonna get rid of the chicken skin I'll crisp it up real good on my Blackstone and use it like bacon. My mouth is literally watering right now. Great video sir.
That chicken burger would be ridiculous buffalo style... blue cheese crumbles and a carrot/celery slaw for crunch!!!!! Some of that homemade buff sauce on top....
As always the dish was outstanding and seems simple todo I’m not sure about the buns hay can you do a Beer can chicken 🐓 I would luv to se your method Tom you guy keep the videos coming brother 🙏🏾
I know that it had the ranch dressing on it but MAN , that bun needed some mayo or aioli or something. Anyone else? That looked amazing though. I am definitely going to have to add this to my summer BBQ repertoire! Thanks
Love the idea of this recipe, but all I could think of was how Chef was touching his food processor and his ingredient bottles with those chicken-y gloves
This is why we keep a sanitizer bucket around at all times. Everything raw gets wiped down after use and before anything cooked touches those surfaces. Good call, though. Safety first! Thanks! -Tom
Ooo. That's not easy, but maybe a gluten free flour, like cup 4 cup? I haven't tried it, so I'm speculating. I wouldn't use a lot. And maybe the egg alone could do the job. Especially on a griddle or in a skillet. Best of luck! -Tom
@@allthingsbbq I'm always looking for new things she can eat. As you well know, you have to get out of your box sometime and try something different. I guess I'll have to enter into "experiment mode". I'll drop another reply here if I find a great solution.
I never thought I would want to have a chicken burger but you just changed my mind. But why not cook on the grill vice the griddle, would it fall apart?
I hear ya. I was surprised that this was my favorite burger of the May burger series. Yes, cooking it on the griddle helps it hold together. Chicken burgers don't hold together as well as a beef burger, so the griddle provides a great sear while also keeping the patty in tact. thanks! -Tom
Grinder or food processor both work well. We just wanted to make sure that people know they can make this burger even if they don't have a grinder. Thanks!
So you have a $4K smoker and don't use it to get smoke flavor in the meat, then when you take the hot patties off the grill you slap them on a cold tray.
Damn it. Those look AMAZING- I WANT ONE, me being hungry and all. Two ?'s I personally love the thighs, but what about using breast or both for the grind. Second .... off target here .... your take/ twist - pigs in a blanket, what do ya think?
I grill breasts as much or more than thighs as home, but for a burger, the thigh is the way to go. It just has that extra bit of fat that makes the difference. Pigs in a blanket? Ooo, I've got some ideas... I'll work on that! -Tom
It's kind of like adding ground bacon to a burger. It's not a terrible idea. The fat content and flavor are great, but the texture is different than the rest of the meat, so it doesn't necessarily cook the same as the rest of the patty.
I'm riding coat tails here...i saw some suggestions on adding cooked bacon to assemble the burger, yum! This comment about adding the chicken skin in the recipe made me think...fry/bake chicken skin and use it like bacon when the burger gets assembled!!
Awesome burger but I'm a little disappointed. 4 burgers all the same. I expected at least 2 different burgers. Maybe 1 with cheese and bacon. Buffalo ranch. Italian style with mozzarella and sauce maybe some italiano seasoning....
“And now im gonna gonna eat the rest of it so... bye!” Lmao love it when Tom gets real and is like “just let me eat guys”. Looks delicious as always
You and Chef Brit are great combo. Nice work. I just wish she was there to get a bite.

Thank you so much. We appreciate you!
Dude, the natural humor you have let shine these past few months in the videos is fantastic. I’ll bet my kids would eat those burgers too!
I made these when I had guests over for dinner. They were AWESOME, everyone loved em! Will definitely be making these again.
I’ve never wanted to try a chicken burger so bad!!
Right! Exactly what I was thinking lol
Made this tonight on brioche and used kewpie mayo instead of ranch and was totally blown away with how good this burger is. I have never had a better chicken burger. Amazing!
Always a challenge to make chicken burgers more enticing. Thanks for this, Chef.

Tom, your the best!! Great looking burger. Adding this one to the list!
Made these burgers last night and they’re FANTASTIC! My 4 year old devoured hers. Great recipe, highly recommended!

I just made this and I had no clue ground chicken could be so damn good. I am in awe

I JUST CRIED AT WORK. THANKS
Great: "Bye, I will eat the rest of the burger" and then this happy smiling. Again wonderful recipe 👍👍👍
Now I have to try & make a chicken burger! Wasn’t sure at first but it cooked up nice! Thanks
That chicken burger would be ridiculous buffalo style... blue cheese crumbles and a carrot/celery slaw for crunch!!!!! Some of that homemade buff sauce on top....
FOR. SURE!
Chef Tom rocks
Hey Chef Tom, went looking for some Hanger Steaks videos and realized you don’t have one...I NEED IT.
Noted and added to the list! Thanks!
-Tom
Looks ok to me, will try this one out this week I rekon….thanks'...… stay safe guys.
Thank you Chef Tom
My roommate doesn't eat beef so this will be a must!😎
I just watched this man deliss

Yeah man, that looks damn good. I might try something like that later this week.
I know that it had the ranch dressing on it but MAN , that bun needed some mayo or aioli or something. Anyone else? That looked amazing though. I am definitely going to have to add this to my summer BBQ repertoire! Thanks
I also judge my cooking by whether the kids devour it and with or without ketchup.
Wonder Bread...🤔 🤣🤣🤣
well mate, and thats why good quality restaurant burgers are so expensive xD
So far the most likely burger I may try to duplicate. Thanks.
Let us know how it turns out! Thanks for watching.
This method would be great to make homemade chicken nuggets.
I actually did this for my kids, while testing this recipe, and they loved them! Thanks!
-Tom
@@allthingsbbq dude you could totally make nuggets from the mixture. Fry them up and they'd be better than any store bought
What kind of meat thermometer do you use?

allthingsbbq I’m both happy, and relieved to hear that. Good practices!
My question is when you grilled the burger why you start front it o back instead of back to front
For chicken, does it matter how much you form it? Is it the same with ground beef?
Feta Stuffed Kafta Burger. Do it!
Damn Chef Tom i will be putting on a few extra lbs amidst this covid-19 stay in place order because of you,lol
daaaaaaaaaaaang
I am totally doing this.. This would give me huge Brownie Points with the wife!!!! :D
My wife is terribly gluten intolerant. Any suggestions for a gluten free binder? Gluten free bread is still fairly dry.

Tom, it looks like you had the whole diffuser plate out? Am I correct?
I never thought I would want to have a chicken burger but you just changed my mind. But why not cook on the grill vice the griddle, would it fall apart?
I think it's for 2 reasons. #1 To form a crust #2 To keep it from falling apart.
I hear ya. I was surprised that this was my favorite burger of the May burger series. Yes, cooking it on the griddle helps it hold together. Chicken burgers don't hold together as well as a beef burger, so the griddle provides a great sear while also keeping the patty in tact. thanks!

Wow, that looks like a great combination. It's just missing some bacon
Everything Bagel??? more like everywhere
I would gladly pay you Tuesday (wait that is today) for a Chicken Burger today! Why not put it through the grinder instead of the food processor?
Grinder or food processor both work well. We just wanted to make sure that people know they can make this burger even if they don't have a grinder. Thanks!
Who downvotes this... vegans? Vegans.
Looks great but I will always hate veggies on the bottom of my burger or sandwich! Lol
only thing i dont like is no saue on the bottom, while on top there is sauce on sauce.. i would just put the ranch on the salad. looking good though

individual chicken meatloaf!
Ground turkey works for this?
Yes. I just prefer the flavor of chicken. Thanks!

Why skinless?
