You take reduced damage from guardian beam if you stand directly in front of him. On easy difficulty on days 0/1 if you have any sort of defense (armor or milk) it's reduced enough that you don't take any damage.
On day 0/1 on easy if you have any armor or milk (defense powerup) and walk directly into the guardian the laser will do no damage. For some reason walking in front of him makes the laser do like half damage
Make sure you follow the route I take and spawn the same totems/bosses I do. Spawning other totems and loading areas effect the trades. If it's a random seed there is no way I know of to guarantee it.
Walking directly in front of a guardian reduces damage from the laser for some reason, combined with day 0, easy difficulty and armor its enough to take no damage
I have the random seed world record as well (11:54). This run is seeded because it's a set seed run, the intention being to complete the game as fast as possible on the fastest seed.

The villagers don't get angry when you break the chief's chest, only when you open it. The rest of the village is good to loot.
