Sorry to see those kids who spit at you, i grew up in new caledonia and now i'm curently living in france and those people are ruining the island, there is a lot of tension between people right now because of this kind of behavior, it's even more important to treat tourists like you with respect since you are giving money to the island and the tourism is not very developed right now. I hope you liked your time there anyway ;) And thanks to you i left the islande 10 years ago and it's always nice to see what the city looks like
