    Corrections.
    The linked brakes on this bike work like this
    Front lever = front only.
    Rear lever = rear and some front.
    Price £2,249.99
    Apparently there is under seat storage under the pillion seat however this is bolted down so I don't really think we can class this as storage as you need tools to access it.

    I agree with you Spicy ❤ the look of this bike. Nearly bought one once but I didn't like the look of the burgundy colour that was only available. Then UM ceased trading gutted wish they would come back because the Commando and the Classic looked stunningly beautiful motorbikes.

      9.5kW, 170kg, 117kph vmax. One of these numbers doesn't seem right xD. Does look lovely though, I wish the A2 didn't have the 125 limit, a lazy tuned ~300cc with 15hp & 17nm would feel perfect in something like this.

    I said exactly the same when you first got it, I'm not a fan of cruisers, but it does look very nice. Also as you said I was thinking while you were off the bike, that it does look big for a 125cc even the engine does not look tiny, helped by the addition of water cooling no doubt.

    I'm all for Chinese bikes, but the cloning is getting beyond silly now. They've just lifted the styling from a Harley Softail Slim S (based on, as you said, the WWII bikes) but SERIOUSLY cheapened, and tarnished, the overall look (just look at that awful 'Commando' headlight 'frame'). It just seems daft to me to blatantly take features/stylings like this and palm it off as a bike of its own.

    As a complete noob to the world of motorbikes [i went from getting a electric "commuter scooter" to doing my CBT] looked what to get and i wanted a cruise, a relax back and just ride bike but literally there is 1 or 3 out of 1,000s. Ended up getting the UM renegade commando classic and im in love with it. [Only really used in in the 6 months going to work/ shopping and just before covid hit i went from shropshire to pembrokshire coast to go camping for 4 nights [was brilliant!, although i need to get some gel seat pads] i also got the Quadlock system for my phone so i have a satnav. Ive had the same issue with speed [and like you ive learned straight up is 50 so i work off that in a quick glance [I was told off when doing my CBT to not dial watch.

  • @jamgooandyou

    Was going to get this one but decided on the commando classic...my first bike after passing my CBT (hate superbikes/ dirtbikes etc) got this on finance n it's been 6 months n im in love. Was originally only going to get a "commenter bike" but I've been to the Pembrokeshire coast camping from Shropshire n it's actually made me want to go for my basic licence . It being big too I feel more safe. I like being casual n taking it easy. I got the Leather/Cream version with 2 saddle bags which just do enough for a basic shop too (saving on taxi money as it normally need to get 2 buses too) I also got a Quadlock mount for my phone. The dial I'll agree is a pain to look at but like you said ok for when you stop. The indicator switch I've learned to always click in whenever I've used it as the first weeks riding I noticed it stick etc. I've got 2 1/2 years left to pay n I'm probably going to stay with it for years

    This is a pretty comprehensive and positive review, but can you speak to the wealth of criticism coming from India regarding build quality, reliability and servicing?
    I'm returning to riding in January after a 10yr layoff and was really considering this bike on the basis of your review, and after hearing your views on the status of Chinese built bikes; but I'm worried about picking a turkey. I originally had an old 2 stroke aprilia rs and it was the bane of my life. I definitely don't want a repeat experience. Can you weigh in Spicy?

    • @jamgooandyou
      @jamgooandyou 4 роки тому

      Im a complete noob/ only done my CBT. Only issue I had was a flat front tire and was a simple fix, the bike garage local to me even tightened my chain by 2 links and I paid for a 6 month health check on it as I've cone of it twice (first time it clipped a curb n went into some bushes, the second time a white van driver kept beeping/ revving behind me n spooked me and my bike went skidding down the road n I went onto the grass) I've got these huge chrome like foot guard/rests that seem to take most of the scrapping/ bashing so aren't as shiny now.

      @catscradle1921 4 роки тому

      No, it is not based on that model. The Baja is also sold as a Sinnis hoodlum and the Lexmoto Michigan. The way Chinese bikes work is a factory makes them and companies buy them with their stickers on and sells them as their bike. So you can see a model of bike for sale under 10 different names.

      Go sit on a few and see what positions best for you. And make sure you sit on it for some time so you can get the feel for it. Maybe see if you can lightly move the bike from side to side and see what you think of were the weight sits. Cruisers are comfort over speed.

      @@WhosJmcGames Yes, exactly that. That's what I searched for. There are quite a few out there. I was considering the Keeway Superlight originally, and then I saw the Commando (I love the military styling) and knew straight away that was the bike for me :)

      Haha I'm still sticking with no under seat storage. Unless you class the inside of the tyres a storage! 😂 thanks for the info I would have not even thought to unbolt it.

    There actually is a storage, right under the back Seat for passenger, it Is really small, not like on scooter od anything like that, but you can actually put some tools, lists, or anything needed. I owe this bike, of course i want stronger, but....i love it, it is overall very surprisingly great bike

    • @spicy110
      @spicy110  5 років тому

      Problem is its bolted down so you would have to carry a spanner with you.

    • @jakubduda6944
      @jakubduda6944 5 років тому

      @@spicy110 you can do it without spanner, there Is a small clip like thing under the main seat, And if you pull the Passenger seat backwards-like away from the main seat-you can than just pull the Passenger seat up

    Hi Spicy! I am thinking in getting my first bike and this is my best choice so far. One of my biggest concerns is the weight I can use on the bike: I'm about 240 pounds, do you think it could be too much for it?
    Also, could you be more specific about fuel economy? Maybe some numbers? Thank you!

    • @spicy110
      @spicy110  3 роки тому

      I am 224lbs so its not a huge difference, however sorry to say this bike is no longer sold to my understanding so second hand is the only option. can not add anymore details as this was a review bike.
