@@carlo6912 These hurricanes affected MILLIONS. We’re all helping each other out the best we can. I’ve never been so close to my neighbors. On Facebook we all help each other out with things others may need. There’s been tons of businesses giving out free food and needs to those in need. FEMA set up locations to hand out free resources. It’s like we got bombed over here and we’re all working together to rebuild. It’s been crazy! My house is gutted to the studs and had to throw everything out but it’s weirdly been a good experience with all the help from the community. I guess you would have to be here to understand.

playing the violin while Ben was complaining was hilarious. Props to the editor lol. Vinson you should probably just get some rattle cans and spray paint the patio furniture. That stuff ain't coming out. Honestly since I was a kid the hurricanes come every year during "hurricane season" which is basically august through october, and every year they do a ton of damage and tear everything up, and EVERY YEAR people keep rebuilding the same crappy shacks out of plywood. Honestly sick of it. The amount of money spent in repairing damage every year could be invested in proofing the state and not having these problems. I think I have an idea for a company to hurricane proof all these things. I bet I could get state subsidy too. For instance brand new pool equipment should not be rusting and shorting out. They need to bring in fuel barges instead of trucks too, to the coastal areas. Houses should not be built like square cabins, you need thick concrete ROUNDED structures that can completely seal the lower levels to block out all water.
200 dollars for a days labor is the bare minimum here in palm beach county for any contractor worth a damn. Plus everyone and their mother in your area is going to need contractors working. No one is going to do anything cheap right now.
They going to hire bottom-tier contractors it's what most places like this do, they use their leverage of having a bunch of rooms to do and find a guy that will do it cheapest per room and then get pissed when isn't perfect. Same thing as most home flippers.
@@evanoneill619 damage was quite bad, all trees downed, fences and power lines down, roofs gone, cars flipped, the roof of a brand new Publix shopping center under construction collapsed, 3 ton construction dumpster was on a house roof, pretty bad, the city just now started to pick up the piles of logs/tree debris, but no fatalities except some live stock

I’m in few blocks away from Ben’s house. I’ll guard it literally. 24/7, us marine. I’ve already met Ben. I grew up here ❤. My roof came off my house during hurricane 🌀 Milton. It was windy 🌬️. Roof went 2 houses away
Hey Ben and crew, I've been thinking about you all during these hurricanes. I’m so sorry for the property and business losses you’re facing. Having been in the hotel business myself, I know firsthand how stressful it can be, especially in times like these. Wishing you all the best as you navigate through this.

Why wouldn’t you have an emergency generator for Hotel? I get it, their expensive, but in the long run, I’m sure the ROI would only be 3-5 yrs based on Florida weather…a 125k gen would run about $120k, install, etc..another $100k..that’s 2 days of down time covered.
U guys always amaze me. U can see a lot of positive family love even in bad times. U all work hard and play hard. If only we had more role model families like u guys!
Hey Ben! Are you going to offer the buyers agent any compensation when you list your property? Since the NAR lawsuit, we don’t have to offer any commission as listing agents, and I’m seeing the same amount of clients who offer cooperating brokerage compensation. I would be interested to know if the trend has stayed the same in properties with valuations of of 10m+
The NAR lawsuit basically did two things: 1. Listing brokers cannot put the coop commission in the MLS, which simply means the listing broker and buyer's broker will have an agreement outside the MLS. 2. IF IF IF the buyer is represented separately by his own broker, there must have a buyer's broker agreement. The buyer is still free to deal directly with the listing broker if the listing broker agrees to represent the buyer as well as the seller (dual agency). This is not rocket science.
My Brother it looks just like after Sandy Storm in New Jersey and Rockaway Beach, WE are just glad you and your family are OK, GOD BLESS YOU AND KEEP YOU ALL SAFE. NOW GO CALL YOUR MOTHER SHE MISSES YOU 😅
