Bear Creek was my home for my first ten years, 1935 to 1945. My uncle, Johnny Hoggan, was the last superintendent of The Yukon Consolidated Gold Corporation when it closed in the. mid 1960's. It was a great place to for a child to live.
My book ,The Yukon ,Life between the Gold Rush and the Alaska Highway has a section about Bear Creek. Joann Robertson

I sent for the book. I am quite sure we drove past Bear Creek in July 1994 and didn’t realize that it was even there. It looks like a great spot for a picnic too!
