We buy cars with problems that the manufacturers put in the mechanics fix those problems while causing More problems by not working bolts to spec and following ASE protocols. Even all the way down to the furniture companies using weaker quality materials, it's all about that bottom dollar, it's all about exploiting the masses for as much as they can. It even goes so deep as to having people steal from you, and come to our country to get government benefits so they have the excuse to tax us more. Trust me they're in it together. Do as we say not as we do never forget.

    I'm with you. I cleaned out the machine after it came with the home. The home used to be a rental and I could tell they loved their fabric softener. I replaced the guides and springs, took it completely apart to scrape, clean and regrease the bearings, and though it's an ugly color, it cleans clothes like it's brand new now. I'm keeping it until that main bearing gives out since that's damn near the same price as a new one.

  • @sivalley
    @sivalley Рік тому +6

    Using the correct amount of fabric softener for the type of detergent used is the biggest problem. I used to maintain commercial laundry equipment and people would occasionally use dish detergent to wash their clothes. Softener is actually made to knock down residual detergent, but then we get into "race conditions" where people used so much soap because they insisted that their laundry wasn't getting clean if the tub wasn't full of foam (because they were using HE detergent that we all know doesn't suds up as much as the old stuff) and then pour half a bottle of dollar store softener in the rinse because their clothes came out itchy and soapy. If only we could get people to read instructions for their machines and consumables. . . What a pipe dream.
    FYI for everyone else reading; use enough detergent per load such that it BARELY starts to foam. Extra suds are wasted soap. Use 2/3 the recommended amount of softener based on load size (10lbs of dry laundry is considered one load), and load your washer DRY. DO NOT be tempted into adding more clothes after the water fills because there's "more room", your washer needs that room to efficiently slosh the clothes around without stressing the motor and transmission.

      So I’m going to make a few videos showing some really interesting laundry tips that people aren’t even aware of that we’ve all been using for YEARS and had no clue about. But for me, my absolute favorite combo is liquid Persil Pro Clean and about a half cup of white distilled vinegar in the fabric softener dispenser. Clothes smell great, there’s absolutely no residual vinegar smell, they feel better and you’ll notice the difference for sure after a few washes, if not the first wash. I’m not sponsored by a single company, although I have an agreement with the company that promotes my washer tablet videos, so every single thing I do or show or use on any of my channels, are all things I trust and use, and I’ll stand behind because I’ve done my own research and testing. I try to hand out facts rather than opinions, but the reason I love Persil so much is because it really is the best that I’ve found to date. There’s plenty I haven’t tried yet, but if you can find it on a Walmart shelf, believe that I have tested it, and then some. As with appliances and vehicles, and pretty much everything in life, I never say to stay away from a whole brand for anything. It really comes down to each individual product, for example appliances, I love whirlpool 80 series direct drive washer, so it’s a good brand. But, they also made Oasis, which are among some of the biggest appliance mistakes ever made lol. Does that make sense? I’m kind of on a tangent ramble here lol. People hate front loaders because of the misinformation and harboring opinions that just have no tethered facts. They do get smelly, IF you don’t use them properly, they are prone to bearing and spider arm failure, IF you don’t use them properly, etc. The fact is, and this is backed by actual scientific research, front loaders wash your clothes better than top loaders. I never want to deter anyone’s opinion or feeling on anything, that’s not why I make my videos. I just want to educate people so they can make a more informed decision, and if they are stuck on their feelings then it is what it is. LG 8100 series front load direct drive steam washer and Persil pro clean are what I use personally 😁

    This guy is the whole reason I switched to white vinegar. My washer finally died so I got a deep top loader and haven’t used ANY fabric softener. I use less soap if it’s a smaller load and use the cleaning tabs once a week (usually on a day I don’t have to fo laundry)

    I hate the smell of fabric softener. It smells like you are covering up nasty. There usually is a hint of odor that makes it smell worse than odor. If it's strong it gives me a migraine.

      Same! One of my all-time pet peeves is walking outside to enjoy the fresh air and smelling someone drying their laundry. IT REEKS. My mom uses so much that where she was sitting on my couch still smells like fabric softener a week later.
