  • An advanced tutorial on how to set up the motion alerts and motion detection zones using your Lorex DVR or NVR. Motion alerts will help you stay connected to your property, even if you are not there. Learn how to set up motion detection zones so you will only receive notifications for specific areas of the camera's field of view. This can be especially useful if you wish to monitor a high-traffic doorway while ignoring irrelevant traffic from the street outside, for example. For more information about your security recorder and motion alerts, please see the basic motion alert tutorial here:

Thing I have problem is... both the red zone and the clear zone detects person/vehicle, which is what I do not want, I only marked the zone which I wanted to detect motion, but it seems that it doesn’t work and it rather decides to detect the whole screen.

Can you update this video with the new software you provide? I have the WiFi cameras and all these settings don't exist.

Does anyone know how to configure the "Show Message" and "Buzzer" options? There only seems to be the default sound, and the message doesn't show.

Did not work. All motion is detected or not. Zones does not work.

I have a LOREX DVR 4K system. For me the biggest drawback is that everytime I want to access my system I must type in my password. With my last system a Night Owl DVR I had the option to bypass having to enter my password.

This doesn't work on our unit. The screen is the same, so I think it should apply to our model. But when I select "buzzer" for Camera 1, the buzzer goes off when any of the other cameras see motion. I even tried deselecting "Enable" on the other three cameras. Still getting a lot of beeping... So I ended up ordering a "Safeguard Supply Doorbell Extender EX1000S" so when we're upstairs watching TV we can hear an alarm and see flashing when the doorbell rings. Would be nice though to get an alarm when motion is detected since some people don't use the doorbell, for reasons I don't understand...

For the "Region" setting, what area is set for the motion detect area? The red zone or the non-red zone? Thanks.

What about sensitivity and threshold? At 1:38 in the video, these options are visible when setting the detection area, but the video does not discuss them - AND NEITHER DOES THE MANUAL!!!
