Against the Odds is doing a kickstarter for a "La Bataille" version of the Battle of Kulm. It uses the same 'easy entry' rules style as Vauchamps. ua-cam.com/video/J9tm6-KPr_Y/v-deo.htmlsi=6xqFha2xGV7wxKFJ
Great introduction video, Im sure will be very useful for new players, potential buyers and people refreshing memory to ensure we are on the same page of the rules. Thanks for this.

Thanks. I hope you enjoy your game. I have yet to be disappointed by either publisher of these series of battles. However, the Clash of Arms editions are the most visually appealing.
Great question. Most of the publishers have the backs marked with a symbol or shaded to indicate the difference between the French and Coalition forces. In Marshal Enterprise games, the French are white on the back, and the Coalition have a gray vertical stripe on the back. Depending upon the age of the Clash of Arms publication, the French are white or have a faint Imperial “N” on the back, the Coalition units are light gray or have a faint national symbol on their backs.
Nice overview. But I have to say, you can't describe the units without touching on the beauty of the counter art. The depiction of the uniforms of the various arms and nationalities is a real plus for these games. (and I stopped clipping counters years ago, so I'm not one to complain, but dude that disorder marker really needs to be cleaned up!)
LOL, yes I didn't realize how beaten up that Disorder counter was. It is probably 20 years old. I clip the unit counters, but never the info counters. You are correct about the uniforms. I will do a video overview of the game series and include that information. BTW, I have been enjoying your Vauchamp videos.

You get used to it. I have played some other game titles were they have placed all the information on the front of the counter, that gets busy. Other game systems have the details on a separate sheet of paper for each army. Making the counters larger allows designers to put more information on the front side, however that makes the hexes bigger...then the maps get sprawling!
I must say thank you for all your videos helping a newcomer learning the game in an easy way, TY again

Great videos helped me decide to buy the game

Nice looking counters
How do you know what side a unit in on when its turned upside down.

Must be difficult to do combat if you have to flip the counters to see the values

I always thought the A meant absolute. And the more recent games give him a number, so theoretically a unit could be with him and still fail a check.
