Sven, I gotta tell ya man. I practiced through this video so many times I drove myself insane. Then recently I found myself stranded in new orleans and no money. By sheer fate I found a hostel to stay at and they had a guitar they let me borrow and so I took it to the French quarter. Had it not been for your influence I wouldn't have made money that way. Some guy requested Django and I mixed it with this style of strumming and made my own rendition on the spot. Tipped me 40 dollars. In short. Thank you. Now back to practicing haha 🤝
Hi Sven - I'm having a lot of trouble figuring out the rhythm. Can you please create a video where you slow it down a lot so that is easier to follow and then gradually speed up? I have scoured the internet and no one else teaches this rhythm. 😞. Also is this the same rhythm that would be used in Spain by Chic Corea?
Your lessons are great, i return to this video of yours, i was looking for how to practice Caravan with a metronome,.. Does the tempo changes in the song when the so called fast part starts..??? or just the swing and the rhythm changes...i know the solo well, and i could play it with a backing track,..but it is different with metronome cause you can hear your mistakes more clearly..??? If you have any suggestion for this i would be very thankful...
Hi, it’s not supposed to change, but surely it happens, slight changes in tempo might not be a disaster, a metronome is the best way to understand what’s happening, at this song the swing part can have a tendency to drag, it’s better to think it a little faster to keep time, here.
Sven Jungbeck Thanks for the reply!! Check out the Leah Zeger (vocal) version which has Gonzalo. Last song on Pour Moi. Also the Adrien versions on UA-cam.

God damn, you’re good. Love the videos. Please don’t stop.
Super. My first exposure to a good explanation of that strumming pattern. Very helpful!
Excellent lesson! Thanks for sharing
Love that guitar
@@sergioandresvahos281 me too!
We play is 1 & 2 & 3 & 4, otherwise, down (up muted, down muted) up (down muted , up muted) down (repeat...) Like this? @2:32
As far as I could see, you did that in a single take. Which is impressive. As also is your chord and rhythm playing.
Love this one, thank you so much Sven!

All the best, Sven
I don’t want to impose because it hasn’t been played that much in gj (except Adrien lately), but I’d like you to do The Man I Love.

only version I know is from bireli, gypsy project. but why not, I have to do some earlier requests first 😉
