  • In this video I'm taking a Metra Milwaukee District North train from Lake Forest to Chicago before heading to Roosevelt Road for the afternoon rush. There was seldom a moment without a train in sight, something I've never experienced before. Afterward, it was off to Giordano's for Chicago deep dish pizza and then to Millennium Park to see "The Bean". South Shore and Metra Electric District trains are also seen as I take a look at Lake Michigan before heading back to Union Station to catch my train back to Utica.
Thanks for watching! If you haven't already, please subscribe and hit the bell to stay up to date on my new adventures.

Good job, Harrison! Very courageous of you to make this trek for all of us! Congrats on an excellent adventure. I really like the background music...adds a whole other element to the story you've shared with us. I can only imagine how great it felt to sleep after that marathon! 😴 😬😁😉👍

That's quite an adventure! You continue to amaze Harrison!
Oh yeah, that old "Iron Age" infrastructure in Chicago (and other places) is pretty remarkable. It's old all right, turn of the 20th Century old, pre-WW1 at least just like a lot of similar ironworks around the country. You'd love the old C&O James River Viaduct here in the Richmond area, built in 1901 it's 10 years older than the Titanic and in a LOT better condition! 🤣
Did you catch what looked like an old Milwaukee Road "Little Joe" electric in North East PA? I wonder what it's doing there?
Anyway, thanks for bringing us along!

I did notice the Little Joe. I’d like to return to North East (by car) to explore the museum.

@@NorthCountryTrains I remembered a day or so after I posted my comment the South Shore interurban line out of Chicago operated Little Joes on freight trains. Maybe that's where it came from?
