ZUTOMAYO is what I like to call them as a musical group project; revolving around their singer and main member ACANE, they have a lot of rotating band members, and they all are top level musicians.
For the music theme of the band itself, I say mainly a combination of pop, jazz, rock, and funk. Then, for the looks, they choose a different theme and vibes every year for their tour/concert. For me, ZUTOMAYO is definitely a form of art and entertainment at its highest level.

So glad that Dragonphly led you here! Great reaction. These top level J-Pop bands/groups are a mega-rabbit hole of endless delights (imho). Quite a few retain their anonimity, mainly I suppose so they can go about their daily life without been recognised, but also perhaps to say "We're here for my music; not my looks". [Retd. Rock/Metal/K- and J-Pop fan from London].

Zutomayo is just so fun to listen to, thank you for the reaction!! I would very very much recommend Study Me by them, it also has a live version, by far my favorite song by them.

Funny how the lights turned off during the after thoughts because zuttomayo nakade iinoni translate to I wish it was midnight all the time
and probably the only "gimmick" of the band is that the band members are always in the dark, especially Aca-ne because we still don't know what she looks like.
That and the weird instrument they sometimes like to use makes the live performance so cool, but i still prefer the normal versions, the songs are so complete, and everybody is playing at they're absolute peak, it's like the power of 7000 songs at same time, and it's still mixed prefectly.
