Amazing how the various cuts are laid out, then the diamond sculpted. I would guess it takes years of study and practice to get it right. All those fractions of carats cut and ground away.
There are famous songs about diamonds. "Diamonds Are A Girl's Best Friend" is a song sung by Marilyn Monroe. "Diamonds Are Forever" is a song sung by Shirley Bassey.
I used to be a diamond prospector and saw thousands of diamonds. I also have an excellent understanding of cutting and had a friend who was a master cutter. To me those rough stones were always more beautiful - a stone in its natural form, with the inclusions and uneven surface. I detest terms like "flaws" and "imperfections", as I think it's presumptuous to assume that a diamond in its raw form is NOT perfect! Furthermore, to me, cut diamonds look artificial and it is an artificial attempt to change the natural product, to conform to society's ridiculous notions...
Every natural diamond has it own finger prints or its own inclusions. So it cannot be faked. The inclusions is inside of it even you reshape it, it cannot be changed.
There is an estimated one gigaton or more diamonds under the Earth's surface. They are more useful as cutting tips on tools. It was like the 30s or 40s when engagement and wedding rings with diamonds were pushed to the public. Rare, colored gem stones are the better bet. More beautiful and rare.
The answer is giants. Giants. GIANTS! Back then, they had giants who just pinched the diamonds into shape with their giant long, hard fingernails. Well, been awhile, but that's how I remember it all happening. Then maybe I'm just trying to bee fun knee and can't even recall last week even! At least I tried to come up with some old diamond cutting 'answer' thing anyways.
❤THANK U FOR SHEDDING LIGHT ON THE DIAMONDS❤ NATURALLY GIRL'S BEST FRIEND! YET THE ART OF CUTTING N FACETING IS TRULY VERY ENLIGHTENING ❤❤❤❤❤❤THANK U FOR SHARING❤
amazing how beautiful the raw diamonds at time mark 0:54 are and how all the later cut diamonds to perfect geometric shape are ugly, as if they were made of glass. why don't you cut tempered glass and leave the natural diamonds in their raw form, as nature created them? because each one is individual unlike the cut ones. do you believe that you are gods, above nature? :)
Great episode! I kept imagining the pink panther sneaking in and taking some of them. 😂

I'd Neal for a Diamond, "I Would, I Said, To No One There...".
Diamonds are forever as i am.
They are cut very very carefully!
Excellent!

Does inhaling diamond dust affect these diamond cutters health?
Is there any difference in cutting, polishing, etc, between natural diamonds and lab grown diamonds?

How are they cut ??? ... Very carefully
Do you know if lab diamonds can be "grown" so there is less cutting?
We have a video about this :) ua-cam.com/video/upv72qcX2QY/v-deo.htmlsi=A5YGXmZMTL5APWax
Informative.
I'd like to know how it was done without the use of modern technology.

🤣🤣Only a diamond can cut a diamond ... unless of course, you have a laser🤣🤣
There's a lot of unreputable people in the business of selling these. 😮

Diamond are overpriced. Diamonds are not as rare as jewelers say they are. Buy manufactured diamonds instead. Less costly and they will last longer.
That is absolutely correct. Saying that to a woman is a different story
Yeah they’re not rare. I found 3 of them just yesterday
Dont buy diamonds until you have seen the lab grown diamonds...they are the best and cost less
