I know back when you built the van out , you said you could get it all out easily ...but WOW it's so beautiful I did not believe it would be so easy !! Another great video guys! Having lived in Sicily for 3 years while I was in the US Navy. I would love to see you go back there again. I’m sure it is just as beautiful today as it was when I was living there in the 70’s. I was based at Sigonella outside Catania. I lived about half way up mount Etna in a small town called Belpasso. I have many fond memories of the Italian friends I made while living there. The local people were so friendly and welcoming. My Italian is not so good anymore so it is fun to learn more words and phrases with every video. La vita Bella!
My father was Italian my mother was French Canadian, so I have the best of both in my blood. Loving watching all that you give to us all much love and respect xx
Sicily!!! My great-grandparents immigrated from Cefalu. My family loves to holiday there and see this beautiful island. The small towns are so inviting. All three places are beautiful.

Puglia as it has interesting hill towns,, centuries old farmland, the gorgeous Trulli, and Lecce the “Florence of the south “ and hometown of the famous Italian singer Albano. It would be great to see Salento where he has his hotel! Every 20 regions of Italy is amazing each with its amazing history, no other place in the world compares as every region has its own jewels. Thanks for bringing us to Italy it would take a lifetime to see all its many regions.

The Amalfi Coast is always an amazing adventure. If you don’t mind all of the summer tourists. All of the small villages are so charming!😎
Sicily has so much history, beautiful coastline and yummy food. It would be wonderful to see you finish your trip there.

Sicily had the most beautiful beaches, food, people. The trip was cut short during pandemic so that would be interesting to return to but Puglia has a great mix so many different, interesting areas to explore, that would be on the list of places to visit for your up and coming get away. Enjoy the freedom of travel and thank you for sharing.

Happy to hear you have your first vaccine. I am now fully vaccinated, and waiting to hear when my family in Eastern Canada are so that I can finally visit them. Probably not driving although I would love to. My vote is for wherever the majority chooses. Certainly not how I usually vote but this way we will be able to enjoy no matter where.

The upgrades to luigi are very nice.The pizza oven is a nice addition, that i know will be used well.
We have an Ooni Koda 12. It uses propane for heat. We had a similar experience cooking our first pizzas. They didn't turn out so well. But now we can cook them to perfection every time.

I would vote for Sicily - would love to see Palermo - my friend here in Clinton, Illinois - USA - who ran a Sicilian pizzeria where they make authentic Sicilian pizza, homemade pizza sauce, spaghetti, cheese garlic bread, etc. just passed away, and she and her family came here from Palermo - only her son is left to run the business - I am very sad that she passed away, and her Sicilian mother passed about one year ago, so I will vote in honor of Nina to see Sicily again and especially I would love a great tour of Palermo as I will most likely never make it there in my life!! You two are fabulous and I absolutely love watching your videos. I have a niece that lives in Paris, France - so maybe someday I will make that journey to Europe, but I am so afraid to fly. Thank-you very much.

Because Pfizere is such an ethical company. Do you know how many billions they've had to pay out for their criminality? Thousands have died from these toxic poisons already. None have been approved except under emergency conditions. Do some research!

I love all 3 possible locations! Amalfi is likely to be a crazy scene! I loved Puglia and would love to go back and explore more. However you had to rush thru Sicily in order to get home before the shutdown. Therefore maybe Sicily…. 💁♀️. No matter where you roam, know that you will be LOVED and that I am confident you will be soooooo happy!!! BRAVO e Tutti!!!!

To hold the kitchen & bathroom supplies on the shelves, I have seen people use nets stretched across the shelves. the dishes and supplies are in baskets. I have also seen a lot of van people with fruit hammocks. What an odd but useful little thing.

As far as your trip, I live inland so always flip out when seeing the ocean.
Love the pizza oven! You could cook anything in there! I'd try roasting trays of cut up veggies tossed in olive oil, Sea salt & cracked black pepper, large chunks of garlic & fresh herbs - & keep on tossing till veggies seem just cooked enough. Leftover veggies can go on a salad or in a soup, later. A small roasting pan could hold fish filets, boneless chicken, a small roast, & either shrimp or small cuts of marinated meats with veggies on skewers could get a bit of a char & everything could have a hint of the flavor of burning wood.
For dessert, roasted / baked apples could be cored, sat on a square of pastry dough, which is sat on a larger square of aluminum foil, then sweetened by stuffing with a blend of: sugar, butter & cinnamon, stuffed into the hollowed out cores. Then pull up the corners of the dough & wrap each individual apple, in the dough blanket, poke a few holes in the dough near the top, & then wrap them in the foil to bake like a little individual pie, @ maybe 425 degrees C, at mayne 40 minutes - or less, or make a tray full of "Smores" & know they're done when the marshmallow melts & lightly browns. Martha Stewart has an old recipe for making your own marshmallow, cut into squares!
I think you could use an internal oven thermometer with a digital readout displayed on your phones. You can learn to adjust the amount of wood, type of wood & use a a watch with Bluetooth, to get to the desired internal temperature so your foods are cooked, or just reheated - the way you want them.
With smaller & thin crust pizzas, the temps could be a bit lower, I'm guessing. A 500 degree oven would be plenty to cook pizza quickly in such a small space - & more than enough for standard roasting, ie: @ 325 F / 167C; to 350 F / 177C, & bake for 10, 15 minutes or less. For more dense foods, like big Idaho potatoes, in a 425 F / 208C oven might bake for 20 - 40 minutes, more or less. It would be good to practice like Sara & Luca did, to get an estimate of time required by item, & keep on turning things. You might want to use a ceramic pizza stone or cast iron pan to help even out the heat.
You could even build a warming oven out of metal sheets to cook foods in stages & then move them to the warming oven to keep some warm while other course(s) cook. One of those pizza ovens could be brought on a trip to the beach or a park. So hot it's cool!
Sicilia is also beautiful....you must decide what is the best situation for you....much love!💕and best wishes!
