    Being able to throw up head kicks isn't just about your ability to do a split. I know lots of people who can kick at head level but can hardly touch their toes or do half of a split.
    Stretch the right muscles and build the right muscles as shown in the video. And remember to stretch and do the high kick drills 4-5 times per week 🔥

    That frog position, you can also winshield wiper your upper body from side to side, and rotate it slightly, like a rotisserie chicken (or a boar on a stick over a firepit, if youre manly) Slight rotation of hips/upperbbody is all you need to really get extra couple centimeters out of the stretch
    Your channel is gold. Pure gold.

    Perfect thank you, I've just started kickboxing, second lesson was tonight. I definitely need to work on my kicks. During lockdown I've gained weight. So now it's time lose it and become more flexible. I'm 40yrs old. Flexibility was never my strong point. But after tonight training session, and watching you videos has definitely sparked a fire in me. Thank you. Liked and subscribed 😀

    There is one I do similar but without the wall you do with what you did with your legs but closer together like a frog. Thus the name frog stretch. You than lay back as far as you can until your back can touch the floor . It’s a great stretch.

    Hello there Champ! I think it would be super helpful of you making a video on kickboxing footwork and stance.
    Like we are taught the fighting stance but in a static manner, and I actually find it hard to maintain proper stance while sparring (my feet are too far away from each other, in other words, my stance is wide), also it would be nice to show us some proper footwork that helps us in stepping in (closing distance between you and your opponent). Would be highly appreciated!

    • @GabrielVargaOfficial

      Of course. That's very important and I'd like to make a video about that.

    cool drills but knee pains durimg extension how to avoid that

    • @GabrielVargaOfficial
      @GabrielVargaOfficial  4 роки тому +1

      The first thing I would think of if hyper extension. Are you locking your knee out?
      Just like punches never completely extent the elbow or knee when striking.
      If that's not it you may need to see a physiotherapist to have some adjustments made.

    • @strikerz2668

      I'd say 2-3 minutes is good. I use to hold the split for 10-20 minutes while I'd read a book. 😅 The more time you put in the faster things will improve.
      2-3 minutes a couple times a day is ideal though.

    I really like watching your videos alot and I've been watching them recently keep up the good work!! but I have a question I am 15 years old I've been training MMA for about 2 months now 4 times a week and I watch alot of fights everyday because I want to become a pro one day but the problem is even though I train I don't feel like I am training enough I want to train alot more than this but I have school homeworks they are preventing me from training to my max I won't leave school but what should I do I feel like am wasting valuable time

    • @GabrielVargaOfficial
      @GabrielVargaOfficial  5 років тому +2

      Definitely don't leave school. That's a smart choice.
      A little over 10 years ago I was at school, teaching 10 classes per week, and working about 20-25 hours as a guard at the jail.
      I still managed to train enough because I would train, like you, about 4 classes per week. But I would also do my own 30 minute training sessions whenever I could. Lunch, early in the morning, on weekends.
      Sneak in an extra session here and there on your own. It could be in your bedroom, on the soccer field...doesn't really matter where. You're just getting extra work in.
      Don't worry about committing 20+ hours a week to training until you are a pro and getting paid some okay money. 10-12 hours a week is lots at 15 years old.
      Good luck with the training.
