Also, it has LAN-ed consoles multiplayer and, therein, LAN multiplayer over internet via XLink Kai too! Good one - underappreciated!

Your list is surprisingly better than other's. Godfather, Mercenaries, GTA, Bully, Gun, The Warriors, Indigo Prophecy, Driver, Scarface. All favorites.
GTA,Midnight Club,The Warriors,Godfather,Scarface,Burnout,Driver,and many more game is where my childhood at.

The Warriors was one of my favourite's as well as Resident Evil 4, Smackdown:Here comes the pain and the first fifa street
I didn't own a lot of these, but the most multiplayer fun i had was on James Bond Nightfire. with the remote control tanks and helicopters and barrel o' laughs
I for one loved The Godfather, Wicked game, spent hours playing it, having fun and completing it twice. Wasnt so taken with Godfather 2 though. but The Dons edition of The Godfather on the ps3 was stunning
Bully and Gun are another 2 ace games (although sometimes i felt little sick in the horse in Gun!

Resident evil 4 in my conception of a game player is the revolution for ps2,but there are obvious a lot more games in ps2 that deserves to be in first place or by graphics or another things.
ps2 is the best because ps2 have the most popular games thumbs up if you agree

FINALLY ... someone recognizes Indigo Prophecy! Im surprised Parallel Lines was on there though. But I agree nonetheless This was a great list though.

@MrShady0617 ...are play-able as open world, your enemies... either the other gangs (arround 12 if not more) or the cops, the hobos, the pedestrians, the dealers and some other ocassional victims. You can steal a jewelry, a car, pedestrians, business people (shops), or dealers to get money this money allows you to buy things such as spray to paint walls, weapons or health, you can lead 1-7 members in the open-world and the some of the missions... the cops may chase you if you happen to steal...

ok i like gta, but i've kinda grown out of it, it just feels like gta sets the tone for things but no other company has done it better yet when it could be better

No Onimusha (especially Dawn of Dreams) is an utter SHOCK! but otherwise, decent list
@TomeeDee86 I speak for myself, and it's my opinion, but GTA-SA in PS2 is superior in many aspects:
1 - It's bigger
2 - Has more "stuff" (weapons, character customization, cars, etc.)
3 - Has more complex missions and side missions, thus enormous replay value.
4 - The story is great (I like GTAVC's story best, but SA is great as well)
5 - Playing it on the PS2 is a breeze. The joystick really makes a difference.
6 - Good looking, cartoonish visuals and great soundtrack

Bully is the best game and will always be the best game.

The warriors it's a game about gangs but not the gangs of now'a'days, you don't use guns for the fights you mostly use the items you get almost from everywhere (wood planks, hammers, knives, police batons, pieces of broken things, molotovs, icecream... yes... icecream.) you can either fight alone or lead your own gang trough the fights at some point it becomes an open-world game (the world is not really big though but there's many maps and most of 'em...
Shadow of the Colossus is hard to really appreciate, you can't to say the people that is better that they think. .-.

Gran Turismo 3 A-Spec and Black should have been in top 10, good job on everything else though.
Not a single SOCOM game, not a single Need for Speed game, not a single Medal of Honor game. That is what missing in my opinion.

@MrShady0617 ...you can fight them back or hide to lose 'em but if they happen to make you "get to the floor" they will attempt to cuff you, if this happens you might want to have your gang members close as they can un-cuff you and so you can but you need the keys you get from "defeating" cops you can also call 1-7 members to kill one single enemy and if he/she runs they'll chase it 'till they defeat him/her if a pedestrian see you stealing or fighting it will call cops and this can happen...
GTA San Andreas is by far the best. God of War is #2, sorry but the thing that makes GTA San Andreas the best (even better then the 4th) is that you can do EVERYTHING and it never ends.

agreed that this is pretty acurate though i will say one of my favorite games that will never ever be on any top list was Bugs and Taz Timebusters,funnest game ever challenging yet still had fun and made u think and yes thats true about IV even Ballad Of Gay Tony version it still wasnt as fun as San Andreas,thats is why V will be set in San Andreas once again

I hate 2pac but I when I looked at the list I wasn't surprised to see Scarface, San Andreas, Godfather and the NBA games on it since all hip hop fans are in love with the gangster lifestyle.
