  • Why pay Grills prices when you can go Britannia Club for substantially less? In this video Stuart describes the differences between Britannia Club versus Princess and Queens Grill. He also takes you inside the Britannia Club restaurant which was created in the refit of 2017. As you'll see it has a very different appearance compared to its larger neighbour - the main dining room.
We have sailed on all ships in the current Cunard fleet aswell as the QE2 - in all of the restaurant grades.
This video was recorded onboard Queen Victoria while at sea in a beautiful room on Deck 10. It was a sea day in December approaching the Bay of Biscay; so there was a little motion. Camera operator, Karl, apologies for the slight movement of the shot. He promises to lock-off the clever gimbal camera before recording next time!

Absolutely agree. We did a transatlantic on QM2 in a Club balcony cabin. Oh dear never again. The cabin was probably the smallest balcony cabin we have ever had, just enough room to get past the bottom of the bed and the restaurant is not a patch on the Victoria and Elizabeth equivalents.

Thanks for posting.. some great footage of the restaurant. Hope to experience this, perhaps in the future.

A pleasure to film on board that ship. We highly recommend Club dining.

Everybody I spoke to on my cruise said there’s no point. Britannia Club is just a halfway house between the grills and Britannia. Either go grills or don’t.

not sure tbh... never seen that happening. But if this was attempted guests would be politely redirected.

@@through_the_porthole cheers. From looking at various videos it looks as though the keycard gives access to the reserved decks for the grills customers so maybe for non grill passengers its impossible to gain access

They are. They offer different facilities and restaurants which are tied to the cabin / suite grade you have.

Do Club Balcony cabins have a dedicated bar/lounge onboard? Anybody know?

I actually found the Filipino senior staff somewhat aloof, arrogant and rude on two occasions i had to speak to seperately - the one making a abysmal attempt at Crepes Suzette elsewhere and the other to a housekeeper who had reduced my room attendant to tears!

Sorry, if may I ask, is Filipino senior staff the name of that particular staff team, the name of the restaurant or what exactly?

@Garry Ellison are you always this polite or are you just having a really bad day? Way do you resort to insult, to respond to a comment that isn't even ment for you?
Is this the kind of person you are? Or was this just a bad day for you?
There is no need to mention the nationality of the staff, you can just say "staff" or "the staff from this X service".
Mentioning nationality is just a form of xenophobia and implies that all people of that nationality are the same. The comment becomes directed at one nationality and not at a particular staff team.
      Welcome to 2021. Have fun.
