Chiba has a very special place in my heart I have seen a documentary over Nihon-ji Daibutsu when I was a child I remembered I want to see it myself. Magical 😊😊
But when I visited the second time I found the most beautiful tea house in Japan below the Temple building with a small sign that there is a tea house.
The tea house has a creek or may be a spring in its garden so you can year the water in the background having a bowl of matcha. But what makes it magical the small Japanese Garden that does not mimic the sea and islands in the garden architecture because you can see the islands and the sea in the background.
My secret tip when you go there take your time for a small tea ceremony ❤️

Oh yay! A new amazing video! I am going back to Japan in April/May and might go on a roadtrip in Hokkaido! Great to know about these roadside stations! Thanks Norm!

    Morning Norm!
When I was looking for summer camping ideas, roadside camping wasn't initially on my list!
Thanks for bringing us along on another unique adventure!

Living in rural Japan, I loove roadside stations! It's always interesting to see what you can find in them. There's a public bath in one of the ones I've been to as well. Thanks for sharing this neat abandoned school one!

It's amazing to see how Japanese building are "renovated and retrofitted" rather than being replaced outside of city. That could be a very interesting concept to explore!
I would love to rent a camper to explore some of the "undeveloped" areas of Japan. Seems like there are gold fields of amazing areas to discover!

    Hope your hand's recovering well!

Here in the states we have something similar to the Aqua Line. The Chesapeake Bridge-Tunnel that links Norfolk/Virginia Beach, Virginia with the Delmarva Peninsula. It’s something like 18 miles long across the mouth of the Chesapeake Bay and there’s nothing anything remotely close as cool to the Firefly of the Ocean! Kudos to Japan for keeping a boring trip across the water interesting!

Good to see you back on the road again with the good ol' camper van. I was so surprised that the whole entirety of that building in the station is open that late at night. Would definitely want to go if I ever have the chance because I love spaces like that, especially that empty balcony where the public bath is.
